If I unroot the phone using Odin(flashing stock AP) will I be able to use Samsung pay again?
If not what would I need to do so I can use it again?

Once you trip Knox (0x1) there's no coming back.

I have heard people say to use Flashify, but what needs to be done to the 5.1.1 rom in order for this to work? Do we wait for someone to deodex the rom or...?

Wait.
Am I wrong for saying this? As I have heard no one else mention it, but.
Unroot, upgrade with Smart Switch, reroot when able to on 5.1.1.

No one knows when or if a root method without tripping Knox will be available for 5.1.1.

after return to unroot, it can't find the update now.
I'm downloading right now with root, will it mess up my phone when it tries to install or just fail to update?
just fail to update, don't waist time to download.

Whats the best way to root a Galaxy J7 from tmobile USA, model SM-J700T?
I thought I would have this j7 rooted already myself.
Ran into fastboot issues like in the V10 forums after mm update. Seems fastboot oem unlock is disabled yet you can click to unlock in developers? Kinda of pisses me off about that. Everyone blamed LG for that but now I see a 2nd T-Mobile phone with same issue.

Yeah the J7 is good for the price without all the bells and whistles. I am seriously thinking of returning it for a refund and getting a Note 5.
I can understand that. I didn't get a note partly because since i want to remove as much samsung software as possible, it makes the s-pen almost unusable therefore a waste of the extra money. Also, i am little impressed with this device for the money. Had it been only 1-1 1/2 gig of ram like the other models I'd pass on it.

The only reason I"m returning this phone is because it lacks an LED notification light. If it had it I would really keep it.

Does anyone know anything useful on rooting a J7 Star (SM-J737T) from Tmobile? How about for getting a builds of TWRP and LineageOS for it?
Following this thread. I'm very interested on the information you seek.
I just spoke to one of the top contributors to TWRP that did the Galaxy a8 and he may do the j737. I'm sure if we donate it will give him more of an incentive !

Try building a cf autoroot file for your device and flash it. Make sure frp is disabled. If it fails to flash the bootloader is locked just saying but if it does flash your good. That is always the first test you should do before going for custom roms and recoveries. Update: this phone is so new that it isn't listed on firmware.mobi
