at the store pin pad terminal; ever since i had the phone restored using the [TOOL] 6T MsmDownloadTool v4.0.59.....
Is there something i did wrong when it was flashing?
Did i miss something?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes but that would give me the issues while opening or adding the card to Google pay.
Not at the terminal pad.

Is safetynet passing in Magisk? That might be the issue cause iirc, the 10 Beta for OOS doesn't have passing safetynet, but I could be wrong

try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-bypass-safetynet-mm-custom-rom-t3534709
maybe it works
installing magisk is not the problem. magisk do his job well so far. the only problem is safetynet. the safetynet check wont pass.
saftynet is only needed if you want to use e.g. android pay or pokemongo usw.

right. tested with v11.5, v11.6 and v12
Running stock ROM not rooted, getting this error? .. bootloader is unlocked though
Google has Google pay check for an unlocked bootloader. If you are unlocked it will fail, you do not have to be rooted just bootloader unlocked for Safteynet to fail. You might as well install Magisk and let it hide that you are unlocked and rooted if you wish to use Google Pay. If you do not want to root, then just relock the bootloader, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE STOCK RECOVERY AND NO CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED. Otherwise you will brick your device. Also, be aware that relocking your bootloader will wipe all internal data off the phone so backup any photos, files, anything of importance before relocking bootloader.

Strange... on my OP 6 with unlocked bootloader and Magisk root, Google Pay runs fine. And even Magisk Hide was not enabled for Google Pay (now it is).

What are you talking about? I've been using Magisk with passing safetynet since it came out a couple years ago. I just used Google Pay times today with no issues.
The issue is Google will fail Safetynet if you just have an unlocked bootloader and no magisk installed to pass the safetynet checks.

What I'm talking about is what I'm experiencing. I've magisk installed, Google Pay is ticket to magisk hide, along with other apps, and they all detect root

please dont give users the wrong impression
Magisk DOES hide it.
i have an unlocked bootloader, TWRP, MAGISK, and a custom kernel installed
and ive been using google pay for the past week without issues.
Why would I give users wrong impression? It's happening to me!!! Just because it doesn't happen to you or others then it cannot be true?
I've also an unlocked bootloader, TWRP and Magisk installed and Magisk is not hiding specific apps. Simple as that.

Then Magisk must not be installed properly. You must have done something wrong is all I can think of. I use Google pay 2-5 times a day without issue and on the OnePlus 6 since launch, zero issues.

Done that, but made no difference. Just reading on another thread that it appears to be an issue for many.
Magisk Hide works fine out of the box (no alterations) with Google Pay for me.
Historically, when it fails it's because Magisk is out of date.
hallo dare, if you want help, post your Magisk Manager's landing page, then another of your test results. Past that, you should head over to the Magisk XDA thread.
Edit:
I guess I forgot to mention I am on the BETA channel - so not exactly without alteration.

I'm running 16.42. In Magisk.
Open Magisk Manager.
Menu.
Settings.
Update Channel -> Beta
Check for Updates -> Enabled
Close Magisk Manager completely.
Reopen.

Edit: I got it to work if anyone else is interested i
: repacked magisk in magisk manager settings
: downloaded installer and installed
: magisk hide installer
:ran the installer
:magisk hide fortnite
:ran fortnite.
Thanks @whizeguy I don't know how I missed those threads.

I'm using 17.2 magisk on oos 9.0 stable. Make sure your hiding the apps BEFORE opening them aswell. I had to redownload everything because I opened the apps before hiding.

Try this link for instructions: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
It might help to know what version of the phone you have (US/International/etc) since some variants of this phone cannot be bootloader unlocked for free.

If your evaltype is HARDWARE when checking safetynet, you'll need magiskhide props config.
After installing it use it with terminal emulator using command "props" and select "Force BASIC key attestation"
It suggested some cheap samsung phone from 2015 for me and it worked fine on my S10
Here's more info
This will work until google enables hardware attestation for all devices

That works!! Thank you!
Just updated to android 11, same procedure.
I flashed the .95 update with some trouble. After the update, rooting, getting r/w access and debloating, Magisk shows that I no longer pass safety net. I have the Magisk Hide option selected.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else find a solution?
Everything seems to be working.

I used the update tool from Motorola to download the ROM. Then used fastboot to flash it in pieces. Then installed Magisk and rooted. Then got r/w access. Then used "pm" to debloat. It wiped everything except the sdcard but my Titanium backups were on the card. It took me most of the day to do all of this and put in my passwords.
