Does S10e suport APTX? - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Can anyone confirm whether the U.S. version of the S10e (especially the TMobile branded phone) supports the APTX bluetooth codec?
Looking to upgrade my Note 5 and this audio codec is a must.

Does the International version support Wi-Fi calling and VolTE on T-Mobile?

I'm on T-Mobile, but I would rather buy the International version of the S7 to eliminate bloatware and to have the Exynos processor, not to mention the unlocked S7 is cheaper. However, I would like to use VolTE and Wi-Fi calling too. Will I have these features if I buy the international unlocked version?

I've never had any of my unlocked phones support WiFi calling or VoLTE, only T-Mobile branded phones did.
you will probably have to flash the t-mobile roms from your country (I guess states?!). If you get a exynos S7 and some t-mobile usa branded roms for that VoLTE and WiFiCalling shouldn't be a problem. Getting those roms for the SM-G930F might be your biggest problem.

How readily will the roms be available? I remember doing it for my HTC One M7 a few times and it wasn't too bad.
I also thought some phones like the Nexus 6P supported VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling on T-Mobile?
The intl version does not have band 12, wifi calling on TMO, or VoLTE support on TMO.
Don't do it.
Thanks.

oh yeah, and finally, heres the actual samsung product page

so, there it is...the g935 has band 12...unless samsung is wrong?
Man, those sites provide confusing answers because there's one g935f owner on this forum who has T-Mobile who said it doesn't support VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling.

That's because t mobile used to add their specific code to their phones' firmware. But now they're built into android so they may work.

When you state now they're built in, do you mean in Marshmallow?
I remember reading that's how the Nexus 6p gained the ability to use band 12 LTE support.
http://www.tmonews.com/2015/12/some...nd-12-lte-support-after-android-6-0-1-update/
Unbranded versions of the firmware do not support VOLTE for some inexplicable reason (the feature is there, just hidden), while some carriers do, they even use the same firmware with only a CSC change (like unbranded the XEF French unbranded firmware vs French Bouygues BOG firmware)
There is no T-mobile USA firmware for the Exynos/international variant but there are plenty of European carrier that handle VOLTE and have no branding, just flash the respective firmwares or CSC using ODIN (does not trip knox) which will enable the feature (you may need to perform a factory init to apply the CSC change)
I'm using the latest XEF firmware in my s6 intl 920F. Where do you get the csc to flash to enable these features?

That's right. Not sure about volte, but the wifi calling was added to marshmallow: http://www.phone-probe.com/android-m-features-native-wifi-calling/

That's for nexus devices, Samsung only enables WiFi calling on carrier branded ROM's.
If you buy the unlocked international version, you will not get VOLTE or WiFi calling. You will get band 12.

Isn't this the first Samsung phone that comes with marshmallow?
Before marshmallow, wifi calling had to be added by the carrier to their rom like t-mobile did on moto and samsung phones.
I don't know for sure, just speculating
Can anyone actually confirm who had the Intl version that volte doesn't work

I don't have the s7, but I did have the international note 5. When i received the marshmallow ota, a volte icon appeared in the quick toggles bar. When i tried to click it to turn volte on an error message popped saying that carrier is not supported. I tried both with a T-Mobile and at&t sim.
The s7 may be different, but I highly doubt it.

HD Audio and VoLTE on ATT with USA unlocked XZP

Hi there,
Does anyone know how I can activate/enable HD Voice/VoLTE on my XZP on AT&T network. I have an unlock RS XZP from bestbuy.
Everyone is telling the call quality is Mehhh compared to my iPhone and S8+. And the only difference is this function. Ironically they are saying it is similar to my Pixel xL, which I believe also didn't support HD Voice and VoLTE.
Please help!
No. Sony did not include IMS profiles for US carriers VoLTE or VoWLAN on this device, and the carriers don't have profiles for the G8142.

USA att and tmo bands? will those be supported?

hi all,
will be another OP7 with modem that support all needed bands for USA att and tmo?
I know that PRO supports it, but I'm interesting in OP7 none PRO.
in a way I'd like to have 60hz display which isn't curved that OP7 has
however, without all needed bands it will be no go for me in USA
anyone know if there will be USA specific OP7? and when?
I just ordered a OnePlus 7 global from banggood. As far as I can tell it should support all the att bands fine. Does it not support the tmob? I'd be a little upset if that were the case but even the official OnePlus Twitter said the op7 will work on usa lte bands.

Sure. But as it is banggood shipping it's likely to be a few weeks.
I am using Oneplus 7(GM1900 china version) with T-Mobile. I am very happy with the phone. It supports almost all the bands except the newest ones (66 and 71). I am getting VoWifi and VoLTE on this phone. Wifi calling from T-mobile also works like a charm.
I think, it supports all ATT LTE bands. I tried H20 sim in it and I am getting LTE. I do not have a att sim to try it out. But H20 runs on ATT and I think ATT also will be working perfect.

APT-X BT

Hi, does N10 with Exynos supports APT-X codec?

Yes, the Exynos variant of the Note 10 does support Apt-X. As does the previous iterations of the Note 9 and Note 8. I have both a Exynos Note 8 and 9 and can confirm that they all support Apt-X

International version vs USA version

Which is better if given the option and you live in the USA? I know if you buy the international version you get no warranty but i also hear the quality is higher than the US version. And in the past the US version would come with no working FP scanner.
Depends upon your Carrier, even if you don't care about warranty US model is better to use in US, specially on TMobile. It supports VoLTE calling. WiFi calling doesn't work though and it won't be working in international model too.
Fingure print scanner works on newer models.
In International model you may get 5G but not sure if US supported bands are available in 5II.
US model supports 4G and no 5G.
