Erisin 5062 px5 MTCD Sound problem - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Hi Guys. I have a problem with my bmw e46 and with the Erisin 5062 px5, when the radio is in operation, the sound goes off in the back right and front left after 10-15 minutes. Does anyone have any idea of what it can do? The other two speakers work without problems. Sorry for the Bad English

Sounds heat related, possibly dry solder joints at the amplifier chip? Does it come back on after a reset or when its cooled down?

Yes, exactly when the radio cools down then it works again for a while. But it would be worse today, it starts shortly after the radio start to beep and the sound falls completely off. How can I find out if it is on a solder joint on the chip?
Gesendet von meinem SM-G950F mit Tapatalk

You will need to visually inspect the main board, the amplifier chip will be soldered to the board and screwed the radio's chassis or heatsink.
Google dry joint so you know what to look for.

I removed the radio and looked at everything, it's nothing to see. Have the radio then about 30min on the 12V charger to run without problems. As soon as it was installed in the car, the beeping sounded again.

Small update, I have soldered the solder joints but it brings no improvement. The chip gets extremely hot and Dan goes away the sound. I think it's up to the chip but can not tell which is installed that is not a number or the like on it

See a professional installer to resolve the wiring problem, could that be something you do?

A friend of mine is a computer specialist and knows so very well, he could not notice anything. The chip gets too hot, if I cool down the chip with spray the sound works normally again until it gets hot again

I have the same problem , i still trying to find the solution. Please check my post. What is your device and MCU version?

So the problem is probably not in the radio, possibly one (or more) of your speakers (or the wires to it) is broken.
Use a ohm meter to measure for a shortcut in the speaker wires. Or disconnect all speakers and try, after this try to connect the speakers one by one (difficult with the ISO connector, best to do with an intermediate wire with two ISO plugs) this way you can find the defective speaker / wires.

Audio line out?

Hi,
I'm very keen to purchase an HTC Touch Pro in the next few days and wondered if it was possible to link the phone to my line in jack in my BMW? I would like to play my music over the car speakers and wonder what would be the simplest way to do it?
Thank-you.
yeah sure
not sure how your bmw have line in
but all devices with normal audio out
works with any cable to minijack, rca or normal jack connector
just get a extusb -> audio converter and connect whatever
cable you need for your car in one end and mini 3.5mm jack in the ohter
and you're set
touch pro should come with a factory dongle that has the mini usb port and 3.5mm jack.
as long as you have a cable that can connect 3.5mm jack from dongle to your aux input (which is also 3.5mm), you're fine.

My Sprint Touch Pro came with a dongle that has 2 mini-usb ports and both 2.5mm and 3.5mm jacks. One mini-usb port is for sync/charge and the other one is for mini-usb headphones that also came with the phone.

Mmm.. mine's an unlocked Touch Pro from Asia, that's probably why.
www.expansys.com
sell them
suppose many other stores both online and offline sell them too
Sorry i've gone through the manual on my car and its an AUX in port not a Line In, my mistake.
Thanks for all the great suggestions, would I be right in thinking this would be the right product.. http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=174643
Cheers guys!
if it's aux in then you just get a cable like this

it's the same analog signals being used
but if it's AUX OUT then connecting your pda would be a bad move
in the case of your BMW AUX In an Line In are totally the same thing just go ahead.

Joying 10.1 Ford Install

I have just finished my install of the joying 10.1 inch android 5.1.1. In a 2010 ford focus.
I had to add the screen extensions to move it away from the heating controls
I have also added the neotech dab dongle but don't have a proper dab aerial I used a converter box of eBay which is suppose to change a normal non amplified in to a dab, I do get signal but only a few bars ( also the wavesync app is not great.
My only issue so far is when I make a call it only outputs 1 speaker ( need to check a few more calls) everything else works from all speakers not sure if it's the same for others?
So so far pretty pleased with it..
Will be pleased to answer any questions u have..[emoji4]

great pics. How was the actual install difficulty? how bout the unit, how is the speed?
The install was quick already had a joying unit for Ford so the harness was all ready set up. It uses my existing gps just needed to get a connection for it. I also had to buy a 2 din facia for my dash.
Speed wise it boots quicker but slows down a bit when it first gets to the android screen if you try to do to many things at once but if you give it a few minutes to boot fully it's ok.

I think phone will play from the driver side speaker only , check your speakers make sure the speaker for the driver front side is connected to the correct wire.
actually I think I was testing the mtcD head unit in USA and the speaker would play it on the right front instead of left .. so it should be set already corrcetly for europe but for USA with driver on left you might want to switch the speakers. I have reported this to Joying as a bug , asked them to add a switch for left and right driver fix on phone speaker. that would be a dmcu update
Yea it is on the driver side but would prefer all speakers.

Free Level Speaker - Charging your device

Hey all,
Did anyone else receive their free Level wireless speaker yet? Mine came today
And you know what? It's alright! I'll definitely use it whilst firing up the BBQ or doing the washing up.
But, how the hell do you charge another device from it? Using the supplied micro to micro USB cable and the USB micro to USB type C adaptor does nothing. Even using the micro to micro into another device still doesn't work.
Maybe I'm missing something obvious but there's nothing in the manual about it.
Cheers

I got mine yesterday too, and while it's a bit quiet, the fact you can take it to the pool or the shower, is a big plus. If they were £30 I might buy another to connect two haha.
I am not sure though that it's meant to charge other devices, I think those cables might be to charge the speaker?
According to the Samsung website it should

Dont get that here in US.

Question Fan connection on Unkown Brand

I have a unbranded head unit that looks very similar to the Teyes CC3 and many of the other brand 9" screens. Like the Teyes CC3, it comes with a cooling fan. However, unlike the Teyes CC3 the cooling fan does not seem to connect to a dedicated connection on the back of the unit itself. Instead it has a loose connector. I looked in the entire package and cannot find a matching connector to connect this to. Picture of the unit below which shows the fan and the fan connector too.
Does anyone know where this goes?
Thanks

The black plastic near the sticker isn't a socket with protective cap stuck into it?
the wiring bundle with the RCA plugs and microphone input should have a conenctor for the fan as well

well, it should. Just splice it into the green wire there (that's switched power) and any of the available grounds. Can also use the antenna/amp turn on wire (usually blue) from the main harness

If you use the blue amp wire don't forget to turn on the amp under settings.

So that green wire to the red wire of the fan? And any ground? But is the green wire running 12v and does that mean the fan will run all the time when car is on?

Yes.
I have a connector like the image attached. It contains the socket for the other end of your fan.
It powers the fan from the amp wire meaning the fan can be turned on/off via the amp on/off toggle.
There is a paid 3rd party app which can automatically control the fan based on the temp of the SoC. It does this by turning the amp toggle on/off.
As recommended by others I would connect the fan wire to the amp 12v wire if you have 1
So the green wire on my picture is that the amp wire? I connected the fan temporarily to the 12v acc red wire and occasionally the fan is soo loud. It’s so loud that I’m wondering does the fan actually need to be connected? It’s gets warm at the back but is that normal?
