Hello guys, i'm not sure if it's related but i cannot charge or connect my pixel 3 thru USB anymore since my ugrade to Android 10, are you guys experiencing this too?
Thanks.
Everything is fine with mine.
Did you do some basic troubleshooting? Like check the port for lint. Try different cables etc.

Hello, i've already checked with 2 différent cables, I wasn't sure if the reason was my upgrade because I charge it with induction. Maybe it has been broken for a while.
Thank you mate, I will check with my warranty.

Has anyone else persistently had issues with the USB cables that come in the box with Samsung phones? Last summer I was getting a lot of flash failures using my stock Captivate cable and I finally read somewhere that failures are a lot of times caused by faulty USB cables. So I decided to attempt using this random Verizon data cable that I found in a computer lab one time, and to my surprise, everything went smoothly. So I use that as often as I can. But last night I was trying a flash with a newer Samsung cable (from a newer Captivate) I have, and of course, had major issues. I unfortunately left my new Skyrocket USB cable at home about 18 hours away and so have not gotten to test that one yet.
So my question is, has anyone else had problems with Samsung's cables? And if so, any particular cables you guys are getting that never fail you?
Thanks!
Nah, you're not crazy, some of the cables that samsung provides really do just suck.... As for alternates, I've found my nook microsd to actually work really well with the skyrocket.

Alright thank god haha. I'll have to do some Amazon browsing for good cables.
Here is my case, I am now on stock 4.1.1
When I connect my nexus to my PC, it only charges. I can neither mount USB storage nor attaching to debug mode. What even worse is that, I can't even run fastboot command in bootloader, so basically I can't flash a custom recovery.
As a result, I am now stuck on stock ROM.
Can anyone please give me an idea to get my USB driver work, or at least to flash a recovery?
EDIT: I have used fast charge before, so will it screwed up or disable the USB driver? Any way to restore it in my case?
EDIT: Solved. The two USB line charges only
Can anyone help me?
I have tried two USB lines with two PCs, so I do think there is a problem of my phone.

Hello barrielui,
would you describe more information how you solved that issue? What do you exactly mean by last line? It's working only for "charging" or for data transfer (mass_storage) too? You've found new type of USB cabel or what?
Unfortunately have the exactly same issue few days after upgrade to JLB 4.1.1 stock Rom. It works properly few days and than from some reason something happen, but don't know what&why and how to fix it.
Think maybe it's a hardware problem, but how it happened is mystery
I had issues with my usb for a while myself, it just kept getting worse until I would not get a charge at all. Your issue may be different than mine, but I had my nexus s the first week it came out. I had already planned to have my phone sent in for repair on my usb, so I figured I could tinker with it. It turns out that the little tab in my charge port was pushed down (away from the screen when holding in hand) just enough that it would barely make contact with my micro usb cables. I used a tac and slipped it in between and carefully pried up a little.
Caution, this may not be your problem, look at other options, or compare your usb port to another phone to determine if it is it. My tab was just barely gaped from the bottom.
Solution
Try cleaning the Nexus port pins with something pointy...deposits on pins inside cellphone port prevents the usb contact..clean it one by one with a pin and tell me if it worked

It was a hardware issue with USB connector on motherboard on my case, but strange is that it was occurred when flashing to newer system.
Hello everyone!!! I just bought this device a couple of days ago. I live in India and bought through the Indian specific system of invites. The problem I faced today is that the usb came was connect my OPO to the laptop as an mtp in the beginning but now it only charges the phone. But when I use another usb cable, it connects as an mtp!! I really want to use only the oneplus usb cable and no other. Is the cable done for??? Will I have to but another one?? plzz help!!!
I'm pretty sure it's broken yeah. But you can order another data cable from oneplus though.

Broken this soon!! I have got the phone like just 10 days ago!! How could it happen??
Hi all,
For some time now I've noticed that my usb cable do not connect reliably with my s7... initially it seems fine but if i try to use it whilst charging tje slightest movement and charging will stop due to the cable being dislodged, if not disconnected... even if i connect it and carefully lie it down to keep it charging i have to keep checking as i might well come back to find the cable moved ever so slightly but enough to interrupt charging...
I've obviously tried different cables, including new brand-name cables, not cheap rubbish, and the problem continues....
Basically, I'm 99% sure its to do with wearing down of the usb port on the phone itself, although i fomd this quite unbelievable considering the supposedly premium quality of the phone... it is 2 years old now but I've had several android phones and have never seen this problem before...
Anyone else have similar experience? Any suggestions as to whether or not this can be fixed ?
Thank you in advance for any opinions/feedback...

Bump... anyone?
I had a problem with my s8 is port. Took the phone to a Samsung repair shop and they fixed it the same day. You may have to pay for your s7, assuming it's not under warranty (2yrs, I believe).

Hi there, I've had a similar issue which I couldn't understand for a while, as when I tried to duplicate the issue it didn't occur.
Finally realised that my case was the problem - I de-case the phone while charging now and the issue is gone.
It's a long shot, but you could try for nothing before spending repair money
Hope it helps...
USB-C is supposed to work regardless of plug orientation, but It seems my phone will only connect for MTP with the cable oriented one way. The other orientation just charges. Same result testing with a different cable. I'm wondering if my phone has a defective port or Asus just ignored the USB-C specifications. Would anyone mind testing whether their phone can connect for MTP in both orientations?
mine works both ways without problems

You will RMA the phone for a cable problem you can solve, taking the risk to have a replacement with bad screen or something like that, strange.

It's not the cable. It's the port. As I said before, I tested with multiple cables.

You can always try cleaning the usb port.
Using compressed air to blow it clean
Then dropping some acetone (oil-free!) or chemically pure gasoline in a USB cable contact and inserting that in the phones port a couple of time.
The gasoline is of course explosive, be careful.
