*UPDATED*
Helo guys as u all may sometime experienced a low speaker sound or earphone sound in some cus roms or as i in xiaomi.eu rom the output of sound in both is low. So i am here giving the best sound profile(boosts all type of sound like speaker + earphone + bluetooth) for viper4andriod which is completly made and tested by me. U must instelled viper sound mode ( i installed from magisk module). Then place the sound profile(3 files which u downloaded) in /viper4android/profiles/yourfolder(or whatever u want to create a folder with any name) in your phone storage and then go to viper and select load effect profile and choose yourfolder(or whatever folder name in which 3 files were placed). Play a music and enjoy pure loud sound.
Hit thank button if u like my work.
NOTE - download all three files from gdrive then make a folder (name the folder what u want) in above discribed place(/viper4android/profiles/yourfolder) and place the 3 files in "yourfolder" folder.

[MOD] CM9 Increased System Volumes

I just flashed CM9 Alpha 11 by dhiru1602 and noticed that the Touch Sound, Lock Sound and Unlock Sound was too quiet and not noticeable. So I have increased their volume and is available for anyone to try!
Downloads :
Effect_Tick.ogg
Lock.ogg
Unlock.ogg
If you want to flash this MOD from CWM, download this zip file:
Increase Volume (Credits: frapeti)
NOTE:
Take a backup of the files you are going to replace before continuing. If you don't like the new modded audio files, you can always revert back to the original one's!
Instructions
Manually Replacing:
1. Using Root Explorer, go into System/Media/Audio/UI and take a backup of the original audio files you want to replace.
2. Replace the original file with the downloaded one.
3. Change the permission to "RW-R--R--".
Flashing Through CWM:
1. Go into recovery mode.
2. Select "Install zip from sdcard"
3. Navigate to the folder where you saved the flashable .zip file and select it.
4. Flash it!
Reboot your phone and the volume will be increased!
Cool. Would be easier for noobs if it was a flashable zip.

[MOD] increase headphone volume (only) to max !!!

-Tried in N900 only (stock 4.3 rooted) (update:works also in stock 4.4.2 rooted), but may work in other versions (backup first)
-Please take care of your HEARING when lisening in high volumes, i'm not responsible for what happen to it, you have been warned !!!
-Increases headphone (only) max volume from 85 to 127 !!!
-Needs a rooted device
-Based on work from this forum and my personal experimentation with Alsamixer app and Es File Explorer
-Steps:
1-enable root access by Es File Explorer app
2-mount system as read write by Es File Explorer App
3-go to path system/etc and backup file ysound.xml (copy to other location) or rename it
4-past the included file in the same previous path after unzipping it, it should contain xml extension not rar extension
5-long press on the file then properties and change permissions to rw-r-r root root
6-restart phone
7-done !!!
-In case of any problems or if you want to return to previous setting simply restore your backup file and restore permissions as rw-r-r root root and restart
-you could notice the increase in volume by Alsamixer app (headphone volume) before 85 after 127, not only by hearing
-included file in attachments
-Or if you have a custom recovery, you could try flashing the zip file in post 16 of this thread (easier), thanks for Dr.Ketan for making the file flashable
Thanks.

It only increase headphone volume not any other kind of volume, i have changed other values not the same in the previous thread using alsamixer app experiementation and my hearing as i opened alsa mixer app and found that headphone volume max stock is 85 so i extracted the file and searched all values of 85 and changed them to 127 the maximum as reported by Alsamixer app and tried it and the sound of headphones was extremely Loud, so i thought about sharing file here for general benefit and for easier sound maximizing for headphones only, wish someone could make a small script for flashing it via recovery to be applied easier instead of our manual method, but the good is that it could be applied in rooted phones without custom recoveries
It is not a slight increase in headphone volume, it is the maximum allowed by device hardware !!!!

1-Have you tried changing permissions of the file to root root rw-r-r and restarting phone
2-remove write permission from es file explorer after applying the patch and restart and see
3-their is no relation between two files phone.apk and ysound.xml
4-have you tried extracting file correctly
5-try restoring original file with permissions as root root rw-r-r and restart and see if the problem is solved
6-work only in stock or near stock roms not aosp or aokp types
7-I think the problem is in the file permissions not set correctly
I have just now replaced the file & not getting any fc thanks for the help....But I could not find any difference in volume of the music player...poss to help me on this pls?
SM900 /VN ROM V9/ KITKAT 4.4.2
1-restart phone once after replacing file
2-check only when headphones plugged
3-try increasing volume to max
4-check file permissions again
5-download alsamixer app from google play and see headphone volume is it 127 (try it after restarting phone and plugging headphones and playing some music)
I'll give a try

I do not think so if the processor is Qualcom based not Exynos based as i heard that Qualcom based models use a different sound chip, you could however try to go to the path system/etc and see if the file ysound.xml (Yamaha sound chip) is found or not ?? if found so backup and try mod and follow instructions closely , if not found try another mod not Exynos based, you may find one in other sections of this forum
Thanks man

Update!!! [Volume Boost + Headphones Boost] Soundmod - Xperia E3 Dual [Kitkat]

There was a loudspeaker bug during an active call in the previous mod, I've corrected it and updated the mod.
Requirements:
1. Root
2. X-plore or any other file manager with root folder access
Procedure:
1. Extract and replace "mixer_paths.xml" in root/system/etc
2. Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
3. Restart your mobile
Note:
I won't be responsible if anything goes wrong.
I'm also providing the stock xml file if you want to revert back to the original settings.
If you experience any distortion please tinker around with xLoud & ClearAudio+ settings in the sound section.

I've tested it on D2212 and its working fine, it should work on other single sim variants as well, just backup your stock mixer paths file before replacing..

I've updated the previous mod. It had some bugs.
Works awesome on my E3........ but i had to play with the equalizer and Clear Phase to fix the distorsion
Can you try to make stereo sound using the earpiece as a front speaker? I've saw that some devices have this mod..... it would be cool to see it on E3

[Guide] Set custom lock/unlock sound in Poco F1

The unlock / lock sound on most of custom roms is pretty much basic (same with miui).
So if you want to change it here is the process
(Disclaimer : I have tested this on my device, I take no responsibility if u damage ur phone by following this method. U r on ur own)
First, download the sound/tune that u want to set as lock/unlock sound, for example:-
1) door open / close sound
2) nubia red magic 3's unlock sound
3) page turning sound etc.
Now, using root browser go to below directory:-
/system/media/audio/ui
Click to collapse
in this folder find "lock.ogg" and "unlock.ogg"
backup and delete the stock sound, (in case, u can restore later)
copy the tune u downloaded earlier and paste it in the folder and rename it to "lock.ogg" or "unlock.ogg" or u can already rename the tune and then paste it.
Finally...Restart!!
Voilla!
I have set car lock sound as lock/unlock (both) tunes.
Enjoy, hit the thanks if it helps.:silly:
