The unlock / lock sound on most of custom roms is pretty much basic (same with miui).
So if you want to change it here is the process
(Disclaimer : I have tested this on my device, I take no responsibility if u damage ur phone by following this method. U r on ur own)
First, download the sound/tune that u want to set as lock/unlock sound, for example:-
1) door open / close sound
2) nubia red magic 3's unlock sound
3) page turning sound etc.
Now, using root browser go to below directory:-
/system/media/audio/ui
Click to collapse
in this folder find "lock.ogg" and "unlock.ogg"
backup and delete the stock sound, (in case, u can restore later)
copy the tune u downloaded earlier and paste it in the folder and rename it to "lock.ogg" or "unlock.ogg" or u can already rename the tune and then paste it.
Finally...Restart!!
Voilla!
I have set car lock sound as lock/unlock (both) tunes.
Enjoy, hit the thanks if it helps.:silly:

Hello everyone, I am going to show you a neat thing for me and hopefully for you too. As a result, you will get the same lock sound you hear in the ending of the video.
Step by step:
1. Download the files from HERE
2. Extract the files and copy them
3. Go to /system/media/ui and rename your Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg to Lockk.ogg and Unlockk.ogg (just to have a backup I'm adding an extra k at the end)
4. Paste the files you copied before into the same directory
5. Set both their permissions accordingly (all can read and only owner can write)
6.Go to system settings/sound/sound effects and enable Screen lock sound
7. Reboot and enjoy!
P.S. If you are using Swipe method to unlock you need to rename those files to their correspondence in the system/media/ui folder. You can easily spot them by their name. In order to work, you need to rename the files you downloaded as the ones that orginally in there(dont forget to back them up).

Which lock setting does this work on? It didn't work with knock code or no lock. I switched back to stock one and I'm getting no lock screen noise period. No matter what I choose.

I'm using knock code and its working m8. But probably its not going to work on no lock type. Be sure to reboot after you made those changes.
Edit.
With your situation, I checked all locking types and the result is:
If you copied unlock and lock .oggs and change their permission , all of them should work except no lock, swipe effects other than basic and pattern effects other than basic. In order to change these sounds you just need to find the matching ones. Listen what you are using at the moment then go to system/media/ui and find the exact one then copy my files over and rename. If you have questions please ask.

I've updated the previous mod. It had some bugs.
Works awesome on my E3........ but i had to play with the equalizer and Clear Phase to fix the distorsion
Can you try to make stereo sound using the earpiece as a front speaker? I've saw that some devices have this mod..... it would be cool to see it on E3

Work on D2203 ?
THIS IS TOUCHWIZ LOLLIPOP ONLY (earlier versions i do not guarantee it will work but you are very welcome to try)
FOR THE I9500 AND I9505 ADVISED (other models you can try but there is no guarantee)
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO YOUR BACKUP now that you can!. For this method i tried it on a SAMSUNG TOUCHWIZ LOLLIPOP ROM FOR THE I9500 so i do not know AND I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSABILITY if your device gets bricked or if you are on CM or if Apocalypse wakes up. Please use root explorer since the tutorial is adapted to it or use another explorer if you know very well how to use it. That being clarified, lets begin:
The files needed for this tutorial are attached on a zip (DO NOT FLASH IT!) unzip it on your pc or on you mobile
I am using Magma Rom which does not come with Air Wake up gesture, i was able to get it working doing the following (please follow steps carefully):
-First of all you will need to copy these folders 1.AirMotionTryActually and 2.AirWakeUp on System/App and set the folder permissions to rwxr-xr-r". Then, open AirMotionTryActually and you will see the apk, change the apk permission to rw-r-r- and do the same with AirWakeUp.
-Look for GestureService and GlanceView folders under the same path system/app and replace the apks inside the folders with the ones i provide and set the apk permissions to rw-r-r-.
-Now we will put files in system/lib and we wil set their permisions to rw-r-r-. The files are
*libsensorhub.so
*libsensorhubcontext.so
*libsensorhubservice.so
*libsensorservice.so
*libSensoryBargeInEngine.so
*libSensoryUDTSIDEngine.so
*libSensoryWakeUpEngine.so
-Last but not least, we will copy the folder wakeupdata to System and we will set permissions to rwxr-xr-r and also check the option to set on all sub-folders and files (this will select the option underneath by default DO NOT CHANGE IT), click ok
-Reboot! Then look for Air Wake Up on settings>accesibility>dexterity and interaction and turn it on. Enjoy
I hope i can help and you can use the gesture on you rom :fingers-crossed:
You can simply use it.

Nice Work!
I'm on a t mobile note 3 running a 5.0 custom rom. The note 3 and s4 are similar platforms so I gave this a try as I had lost air wakeup on one of my flashes. This works very well and better than the native wakeup gesture. Some of the libs and all the system/wakeup data was there already but I just put in the missing pieces and it works like a charm. Great job.
Works with LL Imperium Rom v15.0.
Any negative changes in the interface and the work is not found.
Thank you!
Excuse my ignorance, but what this port is actually doing? Can you give an exampe? I put it on 9505 5.01 stock and I have no error. I activated the function, but... now what?
This works because magma rom is based on stock, if you're using an s6/n5 port or aosp logically it wouldn't work
*UPDATED*
Helo guys as u all may sometime experienced a low speaker sound or earphone sound in some cus roms or as i in xiaomi.eu rom the output of sound in both is low. So i am here giving the best sound profile(boosts all type of sound like speaker + earphone + bluetooth) for viper4andriod which is completly made and tested by me. U must instelled viper sound mode ( i installed from magisk module). Then place the sound profile(3 files which u downloaded) in /viper4android/profiles/yourfolder(or whatever u want to create a folder with any name) in your phone storage and then go to viper and select load effect profile and choose yourfolder(or whatever folder name in which 3 files were placed). Play a music and enjoy pure loud sound.
Hit thank button if u like my work.
NOTE - download all three files from gdrive then make a folder (name the folder what u want) in above discribed place(/viper4android/profiles/yourfolder) and place the 3 files in "yourfolder" folder.
