It fastforwards all the songs but with no sound. And so I tried to change the values back but now everytime I go into the mixerpath folder the first half of the file is missing... So yea I need help ASAP
download and extract the one i just uploaded and overwrite the one in your system/etc folder then set the right permissions and reboot and you will have sound and i personally have the boost variant

I am trying to make a custom boot w/sound but last time I tried getting sound to work I bricked my phone. Any help would be appreciated. I also am considering trying to figure out how to do a SOA theme for SCOM.
BTW somebody created the same boot animation on another phone but with no sound. So I have that already.
Maybe this will help you or atleast point you in the right direction.

I found somebody who created the same animation that I wanted to do so I have reposted the bootanimation.zip and have converted the theme to wav format (don't know if I needed to do that or not) and replaced the PowerOn.wav from the ect folder. The rom I am using already had boot sound. So I was able to just replace the files. What I want to know is the bootsnd.sh file listed in the tutorial the same file needed for our phone? Also it listed a different directory for pushing the sound file. Is this something that is different per phone or ROM or just a preference?

I have a feeling I know what bootsnd.sh file your talking about. No you dont need that for the current roms for the phone. That script is for phones running roms like CM7 that dont have bootsound turned on.
Put the poweron.wav in the same directory as the factory one is now. In converting the file to wav did you just rename it or actually convert it using a program on your pc? Just renaming it will not always work.

I have a conversion program on my system. I have the animation and the audio file posted in themes right now. Planning on tweaking it a bit and making it my own creation once I have more of an idea of where I want to take it. And will be attempting to make it flashable in a week or two I hope.
Ok so I have my boot animation installed and working but can't get the sound ogg file to work. My desc.txt file is properly set.
It used to work great on my bionic but cant get it to work on the GS3. Where in the world do you put the darn sound file?? The original desc.txt also states that it will read the sound file at /system/media.
Of course I put it there and it doesn't work. The sound file is called bionic.ogg. anybody have any idea?
Bump?

Just running the newest stock rom out right now with lean kernel
The 'beep' sound that my phone makes when I increase or decrease the volume is pretty irritating. I found some threads that help me disable the 'beep' but none that will guide me how to replace the same with any custom 'beep'. I'd really like the Zenfone volume control sound on my phone.
Device Specs :
Lenovo A369i
4.2.2
Stock Rom
ROOT
XPOSED
CWM 3.2
I have tried looking in system/media for the ogg file to replace but it isn't the correct location to look for. Do I need to modify my Android System.apk or SystemUI.apk for that?
P.S: I know that beep isn't the correct word but I don't know what is the correct one.
Dont even think to touch system UI or Android system
That doesnt help u the beep is nit there plus it will brick your phone
Navigate to
System/media/audio/ui
And find there file called volume control.ogg
Replace that with ur desired tone
Give a thanks if i helped u

Hi
I have the excellent Cyanogenmod rom on my 6039Y.
I just would like to modify the sound of the camera.
When I had a 9505 galaxy S4, I was able to modify files in system/media/sound/ui and change the file "camera_click".
with root browser, if I wand to put another file "camera_click", it fails. Root is ok but can't modify or replace files.
Do you have any idea to help ?
Thanks a lot
I modified a few sounds using ES File explorer, might work with you too just be sure to check properties for them to work.

Hi brother I have flashed custom.ROM mokee 6.1 mm but I want to add sound during boot can you send me the procedure and samples.. Plss help
First select your tone that you want to set as boot tone. Download a file converter and convert tone to .ogg format and rename it to poweron.ogg or something like that. place these tone to /system/media folder.
If it helped. Please thank me.
