So problem started when i dropped the phone and smashed the screen panel (i was sure when i removed the screen) however, the phone was responsive to fingerprint scanner and vibrated even when connected to my PC it showed it was connected but since the phone is locked i can't seem to access any files.
I left it overnight connected to the charger and woke up on a BEEPING sound from the device and power button didn't seem to stop the sound so what i did is power button + vol down and it stopped but now the phone is not responsive to the fingerprint and it won't vibrate.
I know that i have to order a screen (Egypt is not a supported country for repair) but is there any way to be the sure the phone is responsive to anything? I'd like to think that i am stuck on the recovery mode but since i have no screen on the phone i can't seem to exit it.

Pulled my bone-stock (with current OTA updates) Nexus 5 out of my pocket and the screen was already on. It was asking for an encryption password to decrypt the data on the phone. I figured it may have turned on in my pocket and the pocket movement caused too many pattern unlock attempts. I turned it off and went about my business for a bit. Now the phone won't turn on.
It does not respond to being plugged into a known working usb cable and usb charger.
It does not respond to being placed on a known Qi wireless charger (the charger does indicate a connection).
My computer recognizes it as a QHSUSB_BULK device, but cannot find/install drivers for it.
Tried every power combination of vol-/power, vol+/power, vol+-/power.
Any suggestions?
Sounds like you busted your bootloader. I guess even the secondary won't come up?(Both volume keys and power button)
secondary bootloader fix attempt
Unfortunately my phone did not respond to those combinations of power/vol buttons.
The title is pretty self explanatory. Noticed when i woke up that neither the power, volume or the camera buttons work. They still clicked when pushed but no function beyond that. The phone its self still worked before i pressed the yellow reset button next to the sim card slot. when i pressed the yellow reset button the phone vibrated and turned off, never to come back on. When i plug it into a charger it still has the LED light except its off so i cant just press the power button to turn it back on. When plugged into the computer, then computer recognises that a device has been plugged in (makes the dun-duh! sound) but the phone is not recognised by either the PC companion or Sony EMMA. Same deal with pulling it into a mac. The Sony mac companion program pops up automatically , it says it does not have any device connected, despite it popping up when i plug my phone in...Ive put adb on my computer and tried adb reboot but again it does not recognise the phone while its off. Is there anything i can do to fix this phone or at least turn it back on? I've spent enough on getting this phone prepared as it is so a DIY fix would be great.any help at all would be much appreciated, thanks

No luck unfortunately. When i plug it into the computer the Sony logo pops up and goes to the charging screen. When i press the yellow button just after plugging it in it just restarts and does the same thing. Thanks anyway
That's exactly what happened to my phone last time, managed to get it started after some random trials ( it started using the normal power key after removing it from pc & letting it rest for some time)
Keep me posted if u manage to solve it.

Will do, I've gotten in contact with the sellers and they are happy to inspect the phone for warranty claims to see if I've done anything to it to trigger the breakage, so ill be sending it off tomorrow . You may not be able to answer this but i might as well ask, I got a whole screen replacement for the phone a few months ago as i had dropped it and the screen had smashed etc. The screen replacement all went well. Do you think the re sellers will know/care that the screen has been replaced? Will it impact upon my warranty claim? I don't plan on telling them I've gotten the screen replaced but I'm just worried they'll find out and say my warranty has been voided.
I replaced my phone's speaker from 3rd party, right after that I am having problem to restart the device.
I think Your warranty is probably gone.
Try to flash Ftf file,i didn't cause I don't wanna loose my root.(changing between roms help a bit)
when you open the phone and remove the battery, you can see like some flat wires. those connect all your buttons, screen, loudspeaker and other things to the motherboard. I'd say that the problem is in this flat wires if the buttons do not work. It can be changed but don't try it if you do not have some practical skill since the z3 is not really an easy phone to repair, it's all glued >.<
ps.
this is what i'm talking about, to be clear: http://www.ebay.it/itm/FLAT-FLEX-TA...008493?hash=item2c9efe04ad:g:4QkAAOSwyQtVt5MY
I have a 2nd Gen Moto G that was pretty much in mint condition & prior to yesterday it showed no signs of any potential problems. Then last night the screen completely froze & wouldn't allow any input. The phone then shut itself off & I figured it would just restart & be fine. Instead it went into a constant boot loop where it reaches the white "M" animation screen then shuts right back down. I played around with it for a few hours today & did a ton of searching on the internet with no results.
I also should state that the battery did not die when this happened. I mention that because there were some posts where people let their battery go completely dead then they couldn't get their Moto G to power back on, however that was not case for me as the battery had well over 50% charge when this happened.
Things I have tried in order to fix this:
Using a different charger (both wall and USB to the computer).
-Holding down the power button for 7-10 seconds while plugged in.
-Holding down the power button for 7-10 seconds while not plugged in.
-Holding down the power button for 2 minutes or more (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
-Holding down the power button and volume up buttons until the phone starts (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
-Holding down the power and volume down buttons for 2 minutes or more (while plugged in and while not plugged in).
Now this step does bring up the fastboot menu however selecting any option in this menu just causes the phone to back into the boot loop. And yes I know how to access options in this menu (down volume to scroll & up volume or power button to select).
So basically everything just sends the phone into boot loop. Is the phone toast? Also I should mention that all day today it would randomly try to start itself & get to the Moto animation screen & then shut down & that was while it was sitting on the desk & I hadn't even touched it.
If the phone is toast is there any way I can access files like pictures by plugging the phone into my computer while the fastboot screen is up?
Alright so seeing as no one has any suggestions (understandably) & based on the searching I've done I'm assuming that the phone is just DOA. However does anyone know a possible answer to my second question which is, if the phone is un-savable is there still any way I can access files like pictures by plugging the phone into my computer while the fastboot screen is up?
hey,
all the sudden, my S8+ died but I'm not sure if it's bricked or the screen is dead. Please chip in your ideas.
Everything was fine and the screen got black, the phone was still working but the display didn't have anything on it. Top LED was OK.
I tried to restart the device from my memory thinking that it's a system bug and did it.
The phone didn't wake up after that, or maybe it did but I cannot see the screen.
Now, when I hold down the power and vol - key the phone vibrates but no LED or display
if I only hold the power key nothing happens, no led or vibrations.
the phone used to vibrate randomly when untouched with a blinking blue LED. I'm not sure if it still does.
my screen has a crack on top, what I'm thinking is that water got in and did stuff
I need to access my google authorization app, and that is the only reason why I want it to be repaired. But, if it's going to be formatted during the repair work, it just doesn't worth it anymore.

Hi there,
That happened to me too exactly the way it happened with you. I just had to change the display with digitizer that i bought online and now everything is working fine.
Hi, I started having the strangest issue 2 days ago. Phone model is Samsung Galaxy A50.
I have been unable to unlock my phone once I pressed the lock button or if it went to sleep (screen off).
The only way out of the issue is to restart it by pressing volume down and power for 5 seconds. I put the screen timeout to 10mins (which is the maximum). But no long term solution. Whenever the screen turns dark it stays dark. If a call comes in, the phone vibrates (or ring) but any interaction with the phone is impossible. If I play music, the music continues once the screen is off. The sound can be turned up or down, but it's the only thing that can be done.
While the screen is on, changing the volume via the buttons affects the actual volume of the music, but there is no UI indication that the volume changes, no popup nothing.
So all physical buttons are working correctly.
I have trie "reset parameters", I have tried "reset all data" (backed up everything through Smart Switch). It doesn't change a thing. The phone is reset (still on android 11 though, although I bought it on android 10...) but the issue remains.
Now something very interesting :
Just now, I setup Phone Link for windows 10, so that I am able to see and answer texts and phone calls while at the office. Which works, it sort of defeats the purpose of a "cellular" phone but well...
HOWEVER : while my phone is connected to my desktop through Phone Link. I can lock and unlock at will, change volume and see the UI pop up (via the windows interface or directly on the phone, same behaviour) It's basically fixed. I thought it was fixed for good, so I disconnected my phone from Phone Link. The screen went black as before and there was nothing I could do except reconnect it via Windows 10 (then it immediately starts behaving as usual again...).
My guess is it's definitely software. I just don't understand why a factory reset didn't do the trick...
I wanted to try and reset through the bootloader, but I never managed to effectively get into the bootloader (through volume up and power while the phone is off).
I do not recall making any updates or installing anything just before these symptoms occured. I did install a firmware update that was available after these symptoms started but to no avail
Has anybody seen this before ? Thanks in advance
