Offer donation for support? - Android General

Is it against ToS here on XDA to offer a donation to get one on one help for phone problems? I just want to post a problem, offer payment for successful repair and connect with someone on here to receive support. I know this is a community based forum but didn't know if that was against ToS. Thanks!

I'm not a Moderator/Administrator but, I can only refer you to the following link...

.. that states the following:
8. Donations.
As a user, you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work, however donations up front are not allowed. This forum is about sharing and not about getting paid to do something... that is what your job is for.

Android Developer Contract

I am not sure if this is allowed on this site or if it belongs in a different forum, but I was wondering if anyone on this site was seeking a job position as an android developer in Chicago. It is a 6 month contract position. They aren't looking for someone that makes apps but someone with solid experience with android operating systems. They also want java and api experience. If anyone is interested or has any questions, email me at [email protected] If you are interested and don't mind doing so, I'd appreciate an updated resume along with it.
Thank you,
Connor McLeod

Was does XDA have a job board?
We get numerous requests from companies looking to hire bright engineers and developers, and XDA has thousands of people of this caliber. With unemployment at record highs all across the world, we thought we'd do our part by connecting firms that are hiring, with people that might be interested in work.
Are these paid jobs?
Yes, all jobs are salaried positions.
How do I get my job posted here?
Email [email protected] from your corporate email address. Provide the job posting and location. We will do our best to verify the validity of the job.
Please note: We provide this job board as a free service, and will not be involved in any of the hiring process.

It's all good pal. To be fair, I'd say you posted it in the next best place really.
Anyway, welcome to XDA. I hope you'll stick around and enjoy what the community has to offer.

{Guide} How to get a Moderators assistance
Or you can send a PM to a Senior Forum Moderator, or worst case direct to @MikeChannon
If this is about the moderator I think it is then I wouldn't bother - there is nothing wrong in his actions to close certain threads and keep others open. XDA is a Development site first and foremost, anything beyond that is tolerated, not a right.
Mod Note: Why region specific threads are not allowed.
As mentioned in the other thread, via pm, the sticky and above, the reasons have been explained to you.
I understand where you're coming from, since apart from 3 posts in 2012, the rest have been with regards to the UK/Ireland thread, but you need to read the sticky to know our point.
The closure of any of the region specific threads has nothing to do with my nationality, nor the devices I own.
Still have complaints? Send a pm to the Moderator Committee.

This thread is mainly unused.
There was a perfectly good thread running that a.cid closed that was much better suited to mine and others needs.

He dosnt have an s4 and hes in india.....

I've already told you the reason via reply to your pm (and the sticky), but if you still disagree, feel free to take it up with the Mod Committee.
Requesting you to please keep any more discussions restricted via pm. Public posts will be deleted.

Rule 7 generally does not allow you to sell it here.
But you might be able to start a thread in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum to advertise it and discuss it. Read the stickies in that thread, and look at a few threads that are already in there to get an idea of how to approach it. Often, people who create a new app with the intention to sell it will offer a free version in their thread here for fellow members.
From my quick look, it seems you need to have some contribution history here at XDA to post in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum, which it seems you do not (yet).
Hope this helps! Good luck!
