Rule 7 generally does not allow you to sell it here.
But you might be able to start a thread in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum to advertise it and discuss it. Read the stickies in that thread, and look at a few threads that are already in there to get an idea of how to approach it. Often, people who create a new app with the intention to sell it will offer a free version in their thread here for fellow members.
From my quick look, it seems you need to have some contribution history here at XDA to post in the Paid Software Announcement and Discussion forum, which it seems you do not (yet).
Hope this helps! Good luck!

[Q] To the moderators

Can you change rules to prevent for sale or want to buy posts?
I understand them but don't think they belong.
Not trying to offend anyone, just believe it will get out of hand soon without some control.
I agree. Maybe another subsection in the Gtablet forum for classifieds so people could go specifically there.

That would be a great idea.

There is a subsection for this sort of thing but I'm guessing those that post their items for sale in this forum are not aware of the "Market" on here to buy and sell things..
Market Place
A few have been coming in just to sell. Complaining they can't access the market but the op is right

I agree with that.
Plus I am frustrated that as a new member to this forums I can not post in the development section. I find no use in posting garbage in other sections that I have no interest or legitimate questions and or comments on the topic. I can only PM the developer nor can I help anyone if I choose to do so.
I read that this was a "new thing" but still It is a frustrating experience. Thanks to you all for this forum and the developer, testers, and anyone involved for their efforts.
Even If you have nothing to add please respond to this post. So mabye If I post garbage I may be able to participate!!!!
PS Thanks for listening...(meant reading)

Is this supposed to be a request thread?
repair
Yes, does not work at all and GSM and phone application. Version iokp_n8000_official_2013-12-01.zip and iokp_n8000_official_2013-12-28.zip. That's why I started this thread.

You know the forum rules, and guidelines, that XDA makes you see when signing up? and how they go above and beyond to try to get users to take a moment to read? They stress the importance of following rules, for this exact reason, to keep forums clean and organized, yet people still don't pay any attention.
This is not a request forum, this is why your post is confusing people. This is development forum where developers post their ROMs, and work. Users are expecting a download, yet they are presented with this.
Please take the time to read the rules! I am sorry if I come off as a jerk, I don't mean to.. But being a member of this site so long, it gets frustrating after awhile when users continuously do not pay attention to the rules, especially since XDA goes above and beyond to make users read and understand the rules.
15. Keep threads / posts on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is that your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
General Forums - For news and announcements relating to your device.
Q&A Help & Troubleshooting Forums - FOR ALL QUESTIONS / REQUEST THREADS AND POSTS. If there is no Q&A Help & Troubleshooting forum, use the General Forum of the relevant device
Accessories Forum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the device
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title) - For Developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs and Kernels including modifications to kernels, bootloaders, ROMs, etc.
Themes and Apps Forums - For the posting of Themes and / or Apps as well as announcements & discussions*including*modifications made to Themes and Apps.
You can click here to read the full list of official rules, and guidelines.
Click here to go to the proper forum for your request.
You will probably have better luck with your request being answered there anyways.
@lifeofcoding good luck on your quest of being moderator. But why quote me?

Some subforums, mainly development ones, restrict posting to members with at least 10 posts. This is to cut down on spam and so new members can familiarize yourself with the forum rules and appropriate places to post, acronyms, jargon, etc. You are not, obviously, encouraged to spam to get to 10 posts. There are introduction threads, threads about what device everyone is using or wants, threads in the OT section where you can jabber about just about anything, etc. There are also "noob friendly ask-any-question" threads pinned in several sub sections where you can ask a specific question that you can't yet ask in development threads.
Welcome to XDA.
Thanks for explain

[Q] I'm new... How do I?

What's the difference between regular forums and "developer" forums?
I did a google search to find out how to edit an APK name and it sent me to XDA. WOW, there's a lot of good stuff on here... but when I went to ask a question on the forum it said I didn't have enough experience and needed a minimum of 10 posts. (I'm assuming this counts as one?)
What's the difference between dev and normal forums and how do I identify them?

Any forum that says development or similar you can't post until 10 post. This is to prevent spamming, flaming, and various other deviant acts from new users, directed toward the development base of this site.
You can post help and questions in any other relevant area, to help you learn the site, and build up post.

[Resolved] Need Assistance Updating an Old Thread

I know XDA has the 10 post rule, but I signed up to fix an issue with thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890199
The old XDA thread is the top result on Google for renaming Android apps. Thread was renewed by Ashish Mundhra, a writer for www.guidingtech.com, whom necromanced this old tool that is no longer being developed. Normally instead of all this backstory I would have just posted:
A tool that is up to date, works, doesn't need Windows, and is still being developed.

When Google points me to a sour, stale, or dead thread, I like to point that thread to the new information that works if/when a solution is found.
It's disappointing I can't do this directly but I understand, so can one of you do it? I think the spirit of a site like this is community help and support.
Why I don't think this new post is forum necromancy:
Forums are great sources of information so long as the content is on point and furthers the topic. Post's like "It doesn't work for me." I believe is necromancy. However, providing a solution using modern hardware or an alternative I believe is a great asset to forums.
What are other user's thoughts? Would someone be able to update this thread for me? If not, why?
Why not actively posting on the thread you think it needs to be updated ? Whoever reads the thread would eventually see your post I guess ...
Do you want someone to add your thoughts on the first post of that thread ?
Unfortunately xanthrax, as a new member I cannot post to developer forums. I would need assistance from another member to do what you suggest.

Oops! Sorry, TehZig, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
New members (those with few posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and software. New users can read posts and download files, just cannot post for a bit.
To ask Questions about developing your device, installing ROMs, software and themes you must go to the Q&A or General Forum.
Remember, your question has very likely been asked already, so please search before posting.

Hi !
That`s ok and due to not enough posts count.
All new members must reach 10 posts across the forum in order to be able to participate on the development section by helping around .
This will make them get accustomed to our website before jumping into the development section.
No problem. I've lurked years but only now created an account.
As to the purpose of this thread, my thoughts were that I could possibly gather relevant post replies while debating my own topic for 10 posts.
The 10 post rule is a good one. Not everyone has dialed into information via BBS and used the internet before it became popular for information, instead of popular for instant messaging.
Well you're almost there, welcome to XDA [emoji6]
