Hi Guys,
Is there anybody who has replaced his back glass panel?
I don't want to make any mistake by replacing it.
Any tips ? Heatgun required? Are there any cables around?
That's not the place to ask a questiom.
Yes you'll need a heatgun or a hairdryer, and you can find tutorials on YouTube or Google on how to remove it and replace it
Watch jerryrigeverything on YouTube and maybe ifixit. As far as I remember, the camera flash is glued to the glass so you better don't cut that cable. But you will see in the videos.
I think one plus charges like 28 bucks, I'm going thru them

Hi,
Please check attached images, I need replace those parts from my S4 i9500. From google search there are replacement parts available. I can't able to post link.
but how can I able to put LCD back from the damaged housing to the replacement part. Is that possible.
If for example I'll find the better housing. can I able to put all the rest parts back into front panel and middle frame? why I am asking because I've seen on some screen replacement videos on you tube, they cannot able to replace just front panel frame and put back old LCD.
Please write me complete details if possible, then I'll buy the frames.
Thank you.
It's a part of the lcd display and nearly impossible to replace without damaging the display.
You can find the complete front panel assembly on ebay for about 180 dollars.

Has anyone already buy a screen replacement foe your moto x play? I broke my screen a few days ago.. i've ordered the replacement on ebay and the seller says the design it's like the original.
Yeah I did and replaced it. What I noticed is that the glue on the very thin black frame that attaches to the screen does not go back on after you have taken it off with a heat gun. Also, be very careful while performing the step of separating the frame from the screen the frame breaks all too easy. Most repair guides don't show you that step as they show the part that has the frame attached to it. Another tip is make sure that you take your time removing the components while using the heat gun... Patience really does pay off. Good luck.

I also ordered the full kit including the frame.
The display is on par with the original one. Only problem with mine is that the screen glass isn't glued perfectly to the frame/display on both sides on top. You can see the lcd backlight shining through a bit if you view the device from the side.
Fixed it with a back cover ^^
The replacement process isn't that easy, you should have time and good light. A heat gun (or hair dryer) will help as you need to get the battery and the logic board unglued.
Another essential tool will be a high quality Torx T3 screwdriver. The little screws are quite sensible and the cheap china tools will do nothing but destroy them.
With a steady hand and a bit of luck it can be done. :good:
Edit: This video was quite helpful. It's in german but most of the video content speaks for itself.

Bro let me tell u one thing, before buying this glass contact a repair shop and make sure that he will be able to replace it,
Replacing the glass is very tough job to do, it requires a lot of experience, you can even check videos on YouTube about changing the glass.
If the mechanic agrees and is sure he will be able to change glass then only try to buy it.
And don't try to change it by yourself at home cuzz it needs special equipment to replace it.
Good luck
Hit thanks if I helped you

and did u made it?
the linked vid above is for a moto x, no play, but guess its the same. anyone knows what kind of glue he is putting between the screen and digitizer?
yes bro the xplay will be same like that and don't do that yourself because the process should be done by a professional mechanic... i asked some mobile repairing shop and he said it will charge 1500 to change the glass so i decided to change it what about you?
I've replaced mine successfully.
Although it's "OEM", I have noticed quality issues.
The screen is very sensitive to pressure (Distorts when touching screen) and white spots towards the top of the display are noticeable under white pixels.
I believe something is pressing into thee back of my screen but I ain't touching it until I recieve my replacement earpiece.
Pretty modular phone, 3.5 jack, battery, NFC, earpiece and buttons are easily replaceable.
Just be very cautious when putting your phone back together, don't do what I did and just squeeze it all back together in a rush.
Just got the s5 from a family member..great phone..the bezel is chipped quite heavily .. the replacement part seems cheap enough but I don't know if it's worth the risk..maybe just case it up and be done with it..

Your best bet for a guide to follow that also has images is on the following link.

No, it isn't if you've never done this before.
Reasons are the next:
1. The risk to damage LCD-assembly is very high.
2. The risk to buy a non-suitable bezel (middle frame, or "rear case" how Samsung calls this part) is very high. They are different for different variants of S5 and contain different main antennas inside gray plastic.
Your best bet is to wait for a crack in the screen. You're also gonna screw up the adhesive around the screen and you could literally break keys underneath (no backlight anymore)
Unless you can pop in a nail and try to lift up the screen yourself... as it happens when device is old.
As of now new Original screen is around 100€, which is one of the best display today.
I'll just stick a case on and be done with it..just get a new charge port cover and that'll do..haha
I just installed a new charger port cover. Cost me $3.50 and took 5 minutes to install.. If you really want to change the bezel do a google search on how to do it.. There are plenty of videos which will show you the steps..

after watching several instructional videos on how to disassemble my s5, i realized its not worth it. they water-proofed the crap out of it with multiple layers of adhesive. using a heat gun to soften the glue is a pain, and can also damage the components.
if you use some kind of very soft heat gun and a "sucker" while sliding in a small credit card, you can do it. it is all about being delicate...
The bad thing to replace the bezel frame is that you have to unmount the whole phone, and at last remove the screen. It's glued to the frame with an adhesive band and it's very difficult to remove it without breaking it. And probably you'll need a new adhesive to mount it again to the frame, otherwise parts of the screen will remain elevated from the bezel.
And it's very easy to break the AMOLED screen connector between the mainboard and the screen if you don't know where it is. First, you'll have to watch several youtube vids to get to know how to disasemble the phone and where the connector is.
And if you dare to replace it and you fail, there're cheap alternatives like this: https://lltrader.com/collections/s5/products/samsung-galaxy-s5-display-assembly-no-frame but it's not an original AMOLED, it's a LCD and very fragile, keep it in mind.

replacing the back cover is a breeze,, just use a hair drier to soften the glue along the edges, using thin pry tool,,, plenty of utube / parts video' s out there showing how,,,replace the battery as long as your in there,,, jacks,,, batterys , back covers can be had on ebay, amazon, cracked screen is alittle more detailed but still hoghly do-able, i myself have replaced the whole case assembly with screen attached but replacing just the digitizer seems more common, once again plenty of videos out there,, hth
I've cracked the glass panel that covers the camera lenses on my ROG 5 by accident. I want to avoid replacing the entire back cover if possible, Has anyone seen the glass piece for sale anywhere? I haven't had luck finding it anywhere...

I went through this and had to change the entire lid friend. Now I have a cover for sale... The only piece I found was practically the same value as the complete cover, as we have to remove it to exchange it decide to change the whole thing... You can do it yourself, I used a hair dryer to soften the cover. glue I loosened the cover with a credit card (be careful with the flat lighting cable) and used the same glue for the other one. (I just put the new one on and the original glue was enough.
Wanted to avoid replacing the entire back but it might be the only option. The leans cover would be much easier to replace if it was easily available but I can't find one. Thanks.
