Best buy now has the 6X for $179. I was debating this phone vs Moto G5S Plus or G5S Plus. The G5 is a steady $229 for 3gb and 32gb. Seems the Honor vs Moto is a very close rival like Mustang vs Camaro. Is the Moto worth $50 more? What is it with the Honor 6X to be so cheap now? I'm on T-Mobile network if their are any issues with that. Just curious how you guys feel vs the Moto. When I get off work I'm headed to Best buy as both are in stock
It's due to the soon to be released Honor 7x
Simply time is passing by, new devices will come out soon so is time for the "old" ones (neither 1 year from the exit date of 6X) to get ready to be shot out, it would be a nice move to sold the major quantity of 6X that are still in stock before the showcasing of new devices... you don't think? Jokes aside, the device hasn't nothing wrong. Great performances for a mid-range phone, satisfying camera, it only lacks on third-party development side since that Huawei sadly still have closed-source the codes for Kirin processors and so there aren't many developers interested, or willing to work on unknown sources... but the phone itself works very well.
I'm using the honor 6x on T-Mobile with no issues at all. LTE is working perfectly fine.

This is it.
I went thru 2 of the Honor 6x phones. Bluetooth problems with microphone on apps like Threema, Skype, Wire, etc. Beats X and Jaybird X3 both hated my 6x. Took Beats X back too, got Jaybird, and there's an issue with Note 4. I hope this Moto phone has zero issues as I've been using a Moto E4 (40 bucks) as a back up and it's the only stable phone of the bunch! Finally got fed up and grabbed the G5S Plus today. So far so good. I may give the 7x a shot in the near future, depends on the performance of this new Moto. I upgraded to the 4/64. I did love the feel and the usability of EMUI and the 6x, but broken Bluetooth is a deal breaker for me.
in India we had 6X in 50% discount last week for few limited numbers. Amazon provides good deals so we can get in 20% discount + cashback etc etc.
This is to clear the stocks before 7X and upcoming phones.

5X price is still more than 10K INR while it was launched at 13K INR.
6X was 13K INR but on sale it goes as low as upto 6-7K.
one of my friend purchased Honor 8 smart in 6.7K (700 cashback) while the phone was launched at 17K I think.

i am looking for the Note 10 ... actual i have the xiaomi max 2 and my plan is to buy the Xiaomi Max 3 ... but xiaomi Max 1,2 and 3 have no NFC, i like to have NFC for Google Pay ....
But my old days with huaway are not nice ... no realy good custom roms.
This 2 phones are realy nice, the Max 3 and the Note 10 .... both have dual speaker, battery 5000 mAh or more, dual Sim, SD-Card.
Pro for max is the price and a little better battery, the PRO for the Huawei is NFC
Question:
Which Camera sensor huawei use for the back dual camera ? Its sony ?
Can i use the google dialer with the Note 10 ?
Greets, Peter
Mi Max 3 advantages over Honor Note 10:
1. 3.5mm Headphone Jack. Absent in Honor Note 10.
2. Infrared Remote. Absent in Honor Note 10.
3. 5500mah battery with frugal processor, so more endurance than 5000mah battery in Honor Note 10.
4. Most important to me, Bootloader unlock ability. Main reason for me is Adaway with root.
Huawei made it impossible to unlock bootloader in Honor Note 10.
5. If fall from a height, less prone to shatter due to metal back . Whereas Glass back in Honor Note 10 has more chance to shatter.

Yeah that’s true , but to be honest only think hold me back from getting max 3 is the processes, snapdragon 636 is ok but it not powerful. While honor 10 have Kirin 970 and it a powerful ship
Second honor 10 have an better display , camera , GPU turbo And I believe that max 3 target different customer than note 10
I am also buying the note 10. Mainly because I need a big screen and NFC enabled phone. Xiaomi Max 3 looks good as well but CPU is not very powerful and does not have NFC which I use a lot.

I don't think the ones listed on Aliexpress are ready for shipping. The international version should be available after 30 of August 2018.

Hey,
Do You know when and in what online shops will be available to buy? I'm waiting for European premiere, but if it will be online - i can buy from China.
Greetings
From what I read it will be available starting August 12th. Most likely only for China, and the global variant should be released some time later.
I'll wait a couple weeks for user reviews, mainly to find out whether it's possible to install Google services on HarmonyOS. Apparently it's possible on CHINESE variants of the Mate 40, with the Lzplay app (or whatever it's called). For global variants, gotta use GSpace which is not ideal.
EDIT: pre-order available on aliexpress HERE. Price is a bit high though.
Hello. Any news about Chinese variant and harmonyos running or not Google? I'm crazy about this phone.

Hi.
I live in Sanya, China.
I recently bought 2 Huawei P50 Pros here to send to my friends in Russia and while testing them, I got quite disappointed. I even made a short review on my youtube channel (Mark Victorson).
They're overheating crazily, and in general, while cameras are the only reason one might want a Huawei phone, the video performance is seriously underwhelming.
And I don't recommend getting the China version with Kirin.
Wait for the global release. Or PM me if you can't live without the phone, I'll give you contacts of ppl who can buy and send the phone from China

1. Harmony os - hopefully the global version will have full fledged android 11 not the piece of android 10 they call a new os
2. Camera is underwhelming. Omnivision sensors are inferior to Sony. The quality and color science difference between the wide, main and tele lens are not in sync - shooting with all three makes you feel like you shoot on three different devices, so great the difference is. Video is still 30mbps in 4k...srsly? SONY gives 85!
3. Heat dissipation on Kirin is terrible, it drops from 300gips to 100gips in 9 minutes of CPU throttling test.
Hopefully the global version with Snapdragon will result in a better experience.

Hi, what is the battery life like ? How does it compare with the honor magic 3 pro plus? Are the cameras better on the p50 pro or on honor magic 3 pro plus? Which of the 2 devices would you recommend for overall everyday use (camera, speed, battery life, Heating). You mentioned the p50 pro gets hot, is that the same with the honor magic 3 pro plus?
Mate40 pro is not a better choice ??

Overall I'd recommend honor. It shoots better videos, its screen is better, it never heats up, its face id works in darkness. The only downside - it's a step behind p50pro in photography. Battery life is not bad on the both, but I can't say anything particular because i only had the devices for a week, and then sent them to Russia.

Lol wow. I have the phone, it's typical huawei goodness.
Hot? Not at all, it's same as any other normal phone concerning heat, camera is excellent! As expected, slightly better than by mate x2 camera which was also great. P50 pro ain't seen as the best phone camera right now for nothing.
Battery life again is typically great! It's a small battery, 4360 I believe, but it's roughly 8+ hours on screen time for a complete full charge.
I'm amazed at these statements

How much did you pay for it?
I've been told that photos are excellent but video recording is underwhelming, can you confirm?
Is there a 90hz option or only 60hz/120hz?
How many updates have you received so far ?
Does that 8 hours sot involve gaming or just normal usage?
How much battery do you lose overnight/idle?
8 hours is decent SOT, but I'm used to my 14 hours on the Rog 5 unfortunately there's no reviews on the p50 pro so I'm still undecided.

Paid about £870 from Alibaba
Pics are the best, full stop! Videos are good, iPhone still king
No it's only 60hz or 120hz dynamic. No 90hz
I think its been about 2 updates since I bought
It's 8 hours very conservative. Uses about 10% per hour
Losses about 3% overnight

Good to know! Will the warranty be void if I do this, even if I relock it?
I have the 8 Flip (same spec with the 8 and same OS) and the 5 III.
The ZenFone 8 have best a more powerful grip of the cellular network.
Sony better audio quality and screen quality.
Both have os experience like android stock with minor options like dynamic vibration for Xperia 5 III and native call record for the Fone 8.
Warranty void depending on your country. For me in France no warranty void with unlocked bootloader.

Hi all.
I'm currently looking for a new phone, and currently have 3 choices.
Honor Magic 5 Pro 512GB: USD 930 (Honor Official)
Samsung S22 Ultra 256GB: About USD 600 (Like New Second-hand with no warranty)
OnePlus 11 256GB: About USD 812 (OnePlus Official)
Which one is a better value for money? Appreciate all comments, thanks.

I would never buy a used phone. No way to know how it was used by the previous owner.
S22U would have been my pick had it been new.
I don't have too much idea about the software on Honor device. But it is a very good phone based on reviews.
In this case, I'll go with OnePlus 11 just to be on the safe side.
Have you considered other phones like Vivo X90 and iQOO 11?
Ah, the vivo and iqoo aren't available in the region, but the s22u is "Certified" by the marketplace app.

Those certifications mean nothing. Avoid a used phone if you can.
How about a brand new for USD740? Is it worth it? I'm concerned about the soc mainly...

The S22U tends to run slightly warmer. The battery life is average at best. On an average, I get about 5 hours SOT (mostly on WiFi) and a standby time of about 15 hours when the battery is at 15%. They have sorted this out on the S23U, so if you can stretch your budget, you should consider getting that instead.
Everything else is excellent, even if the software has a few bugs here and there.
Between the S22U and the OnePlus 11, I'll go with the S22U only because of it's cameras (S-Pen is a bonus). This is not to say that the OnePlus 11 cameras are bad. They are very good too. But the S22U is better.
OnePlus 11 has the better SOC and lighter software on its side. So it will give you a snappier performance and better battery life.

Brand new is better. If you read through the forums here, you'll read about people who bought used phones that were essentially paper weights because they were either stolen, or bought then resold without being paid off, and Samsung locked them.
