Why doesn't my phone see my smart TV every time I try to cast it? It sees it about %70 of the time? Any suggestions? I restarted both the phone and the TV.

Hey, im want to mirror my screen from my galaxy s6 to my samsung smart tv UE40ES6710 but the problem is that the wifi from my smart tv is broken, also i cant scan for wifi cause it doesnt find anything and sometimes it crashes and hang up when i try to connect my tv wirh my wifi. So my question is can i mirror my screen from my s6 to my smart tv WITHOUT having my smart tv connected to wifi??? I tried a usb wifi adapter but when i plug it in my smart tv it doesnt get recognized, but the wifi adapter is ok cause it works on my pc. i tried every usb port on my tv but it doesnt help. Can i use something like screen mirroring or quick connect but without have my smart tv connected to internet??
And no ethernet cable, too
Try a Chromecast. Plugs into hdmi, has its own Wi-Fi, you can mirror your phone. $35.
EDIT: ^ What he said.
Chrome cast is cheap and awesome

Is there any other way to stream my screen and sound without chromecast? The problem is that my network adapter from my tv seems to be broken and that the software is absolutely buggy too, i couldnt update the girmware from my smart tv with a usb so i need to try another way without buy something new like chromecast stick or hdmi to micro usb cable.
I don't think the S6 supports a cabled connection, so ìf the WiFi on your TV is broken a Chromecast is going to be cheaper than replacing the TV connection.
Hello.
I have NVIDIA SHIELD K1 tablet and Sony KD-55S8505C TV (with Android TV on-board). I wanted to play some games within streaming feature. It works fine, but the problem is when I want to use HDMI to display the image on my TV. Once I connect the HDMI-miniHDMI cable, nothing happens... I tried to manually change the display mode to console, but I'm getting a message that HDMI is not connected.
After this I tried the HDMI with other TV and it works correctly. But my Sony is a new one, all HDMIs work fine (I tried them with Blu-ray player and my laptop).
I also tried restarting my tablet and TV many times (I found out it helps sometimes for ppl).
Is there any other thing I can check? No idea what to do.

Did you ever solve the problem? Mirror mode worked on one of my TVs but not another TV.
Yes. There was a problem with my TV's HDMI ports. Something on motherrboard was broken. I sent it to Sony service and they repaired everything. It has worked like a charm since the first use.

Console mode works but not mirror mode so HDMI port is fine.
To me it is happening that my nvidia shield tablet does not recognize when I connect the HDMI. I did a hard reset and everything works perfect again, but after a few days, unchanged nothing stops working again. I did the test with different cables, different adapters HDMI-MiniHDMI and with different screens but I always have the same result unless I make a factory reset again.
Maybe some app, update interferes with HDMI..
Deactivate auto updates in Play store and for Nvidia.
Hey All,
I do alot of presentations and show video clips using my phone and a projector. What I do is Cast my Screen. Every once in a while the chromecast disconnects.
So i was wondering if there is an app or a custom script that can check every 5 minutes to see if the phone is connected to a chromecast and casting the whole screen. If it is not connected then it will connect and cast the screen automatically.
So is something like this possible?
I am using miracast for quiet some time with my LG tv. Works mostly perfectly, but my issue is the tv of my neighbours. My miracast automatically tries to connect to a tv, if there is only one showing up. because my tv is slower hardware-wise, it does not always appear as fast as the neighbour's, which is why miracast sometimes tries to connect to my neighbour's tv automatically. I don't want this to happen.
My idea is, if it was possible to do either one of those:
1.block my neighbour's tv from showing
or
2.only allow connection to mine
My S7 is rooted and using superman rom
PS: English is not my native language so pls forgive mistakes in my sentences or odd describing.

I'm having the same problem now. I can cast to my neighbor's LG TV and another neighbor's Roku, as well as my own Samsung TV. I have an up-to-date Windows 10 desktop computer.
How can I mirror my phone screen to Samsunng Smart TV? I tried few Samsung Apps but without success. Did any one manage to do it? Also After I have installed Smartview app I can use my phone as a Pilot but I must first turn it on :S I could turn on/off my TV using Galaxy S8+ without problem...
Ok so I found it and want to share if someone will also have any problems.
This is built in feature.
Go to: Settings > Bluetooth &device connection > Connection preferences > Cast
Of course you need to be connected to the same network as your TV.
It works pretty nice.
Good luck all!
And just faced another problem. I can screen cast to my Samsung Smart TV without problem but when I try to do it on the older Samsung Smart TV version at my parents-in-law I have a problem.
First of all phone is finding TV very slowly and when it is found, I click to connect then it tries to connect, I get notification on TV that OnePlus is trying to connect and after 2-3 secods I get info on TV - disconnected and screen cast stops on my phone.
Using 9.5.4 EU soft version, TV is up to date.
Any ideas?
