I realize it's listed on the OnePlus website but can anyone confirm it has bluetooth LDAC connectivity please? I've already ordered and am awaiting my 7 pro 256/12 nebula blue and I have a pair of Audeze Mobius headphones that utilize LDAC, hence I care not about 3.5mm headphone jack.

I have the Sony wh-1000xm3 and can confirm LDAC works with my OP7pro! Enjoy!
Very nice. Can't wait. Will get my read on while I wait...
yeah LDAC works. i use it w/ Sony XM3. same happened on OP6T
I also have Sony XM3. LDAC works with the OP7P, viper4android and build-in Dolby Atmos now works side-by-side.

How did you accomplish this? Every time I go into developer options on my 7pro and switch from SBC to LDAC it reverts back to SBC

Check the Sony headphones app, certain features like the EQ will force SBC. Disabling those features should let it use LDAC.

Hi. I have 1000xm3 and op7pro.But during calls my microphone doesn't work. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Once when i switched off my phone and reset my 1000xm3 it worked for sometime but then again stopped. Any solution?
Here's something for people with LDAC devices to try out....if you are on Android 10, could you connect to your devices and then go to dev settings and see if you can change your bitrate from adaptive to optimise for audio quality? After updating to Android 10, i seem to have lost that ability with my Fiio BTR3 DAC. Worked fine for me back in Android Pie
I am still getting option to change the bit rate. But will that help?

Yup... LDAC bitrate setting always stays at adaptive on android 10. Tried with a OP7 non pro GM1900 running android 10 (OxygenOS 10.0.1.GM57AA), with Sony wh-1000mx3, wh-xb900n and wh-h910n.
Ergo, this problem isn't limited to a particular pair of headphones, or to the OP7Pro. This seems to be a more generic issue with OxygenOS 10 in general.

OP can you confirm if you have LDAC working on the mobius + OP7Pro. I got about 5 minutes hands on with a mobius at an event last week and could only get SBC/AAC (using an OP7 non pro though)

So it seems Sony removed Hi-Res Audio from the Z3 when they changed Walkman to "music".
I have been using the XBA-Z5 earphones and MDR-Z7 headphones through the
PHA-3 Sony amp with Xperia Z3
and the sound with this set up, while not really mobile,
is beyond incredible.
BUT after lollipop the option to use the PHA-3 amp for hi res audio
through UBS is missing.

Yup not there for some time now.
Sony is promoting their new HiRES player. So they removed it on Z3. They always do that. It's called marketing.

The option still exists in the latest "Music" app for Kit Kat. The reason why you don't see it in Lollipop is because Lollipop supports sound over usb natively. Kit Kat did not. It was a custom option that Sony added to our phone.
"Android now includes support for standard USB audio peripherals, allowing users to connect USB headsets, speakers, microphones, or other high performance digital peripherals. Android 5.0 also adds support for Opus audio codecs."
https://developer.android.com/about/versions/lollipop.html
Sorry if I bump an old thread but does the USB amplifier works natively like the previous poster said or they removed the functionality? I was thinking about buying one but I'm worried it might not work properly now that the option has vanished.
I would say the above reply is correct, this was simply blended into 5.0 and you no longer need to check the USB box,
it is automatic.
Still, I was inspired to buy a ZX2 walkman in fear we were losing the hi res audio and sadly now no going back, wow.
Now I get why the phone app was changed to "music".
Still, I'd say above issue and this thread issue has been resolved.
Hi Res Audio is still a part of Z3 ( though I noticed they dropped the Hi Res Audio logo when promoting the Z4 in Japan ?? )

Kind of off-topic but how is that ZX2? Worth the investment?
In my opinion absolutely without question, the sound when used with the correct headphones and amplifiers, and even without the amplifier, is beyond belief incredible. So I would say a very strong absolute yes.
I grabbed the xbaz5- in ears by Sony for when carrying this thing around outdoors, and that too is an incredible experience and also well worth what many are are going to be a ridiculous monetary investment.
While I'm perfectly content with my Z3 and ATH-IM03's, I can only wonder and dream what nearly $2k of portable sound equipment provides to the ears.
I imagine it's something like being cradled by a choir of singing angels in a cloud chapel.
Thanks for the information. I just removed the Music update and gone back to Walkman. Now i´m able to use my DAC again.
Has any one tried it with AA ,need to know before I purchase. Cheers

THANK YOU. Was going to drive me nuts.
It works for me but it takes over a minute before it starts. The car does more see the device. Skoda Octavia Combi model 2018.
Anyone else has the same slow starts?
EDIT: fixed it! Disabling ADB debugging solves the delay (found out using logcat)
Works fine for me on 2018 Acura. Only issue, as referenced above, is if the notch is hidden, it cuts off the screen on the car's display.
Works fine in my [emoji176]Kia Rio 2018[emoji176]
Had to disable the notch hide... grrrr, works fine, not as snappy as my pixel 2 xl in android auto though, connected to 2018 Jeep
works fine on Chevy Volt 2017.
Yep is fine for me. Was tricky to initially pair but after I changed notch setting it worked. 2017 Mercedes.

Cool! I've never actually used Android Auto. (Mine's a much older system, so too prehistoric to have smart related stuff, but after seeing this, I'm now seriously thinking of upgrading). Does it give you access to all of the stuff on your android phone, or is it just basic stuff like syncing up music, etc?

Its a long-ish answer so just download the Android Auto app on your phone and see it in action. What you see on the phone running the app is what you see in the car (aside from integration with steering wheel buttons etc).
Work fine with Skoda Octavia 2018
It mostly works for me but I have to change the connection mode from USB charging to MPT every time I want to connect to my car. Otherwise, it won't detect the phone.
This is with a Honda Accord 2016. The car connection has the same issue with the OnePlus 3T but not with a Motorola phone that I tested.

Oh Ok, this sort of answers my question anyway. (so basically it's more of an app than a built-in full blown Android OS on a car stereo). In other words, limited features rather than a full OS.. Not alot of point for me then if that's all it does. (Mainly I would have used it for music and gps in the car, but I can already do that from my phone easily enough). But if it had been the whole Android OS that does literally everything my phone does, then that would have been totally worth it!
Thanks for the heads up though! What feature do you use yours for mostly?
As per the title, really.
I have been pretty unhappy with the audio quality of the phone, specially when playing Spotify via Android Auto in the car.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a module and/or settings that can fix this?
My OnePlus 6 sounded way better under the same conditions - In comparison, the 7 Pro has overpowered and muddy bass, low mid-range and without details and a garbled high frequencies, almost like phased or wrong bitrate of playing.
Mind you, this is with Spotify Premium and set to maximum quality.
I really like Viper for audio (can install via magisk) but over Bluetooth, at max volume it clips heavily with bassy tracks if you have any kind of eq on bass. I remember having the problem with my OP5 and it being fixed with lineage os, but I like stock OOS so I don't want to move right now. If you can find a working dolby atmos install for android 9,thats good too.

Not full dolby atmos I'm talking about the one with full custom eq support that the razer phone has. Not the crappy one included.
Intelligent eq off, and using the custom eq. No clipping, great sound.

Where did you find your dolby atmos and how did you install?
Just one note - I feel that as long as it is not possible to disable/bypass the built-in Dolby Atmos processing, nothing that is flashed is going to make things better.
OnePlus needs to give us the ability to tweak audio settings or at least bypass that horrid processing they have going on.
The highs in particular sound like a heavily compressed .mp2 (no, not a typo) from the 90's with a 112kbps bit rate.
No idea what is going on with this sound but for many years I did not have a phone that sounded this bad.

VIPER4Android is great
install VIPER4Android_2.7.1.0-Magisk_Module.zip as magisk module (once rebooted open app and it will ask for root and install driver and reboot)
unzip ViPER4Android_Profiles.zip and move VIPER4Android folder to root of SDCard

Viper4android has been great for me as well. I asnt able to install it via magisk though, had to install from twrp.
I have noticed that the audio quality is different from the 6t. Not necessarily worse, just different. The highs do sound generally more compressed on the 7 pro vs 6t. As a result, my 7 pro Viper settings are markedly different from the 6t

Hello everyone. I have installed the february update on my A51, lots of bugs fixed, but when I tried to use Spotify with Apple AirPods the music keeps breaking.
I was afraid that it was a problem in the phone, but when I connected a BT speaker, it worked perfectly. I don't have another pair of BT headphones to test if it was a problem of the Airpods, I use them with Windows on my laptop and they work great, also tested a Galaxy A30 and they also worked fine, but on my A51 they seem to fail.
Anyone else with problems with Bluetooth, or with Airpods specifically?

Hi. I can confirm the issues with Apple Airpods 2. Shure 215 BT work fine and the Airpods stutter and seem to disconnect from time to time. They are not usable with the Galaxy A51. It gets better if I turn off wireless but that is not an option.

The latest version of Viper4Android FX is working from the magisk repo. I installed these 2 modules
Viper4Android FX v2.7.2.1
Audio Modification Library v4.0
And before rebooting went into Viper and hit Ok and the phone rebooted. after booting it didn't work so I had to go to settings and turn on legacy mode. It's now working with phone speaker across multiple reboots but I haven't tested bluetooth yet. It should work, if not the module Audio compatibility might fix it.
It likes to turn off a lot forcing you to restart your music app and v4a. It's kind of annoying
Aside from the crashing issues, does it help solve the horrible dsp config that Google puts on the P5 from the factory? I hate that ugly bass thump sound it makes. It's just like an iPhone.
James DSP FTW.
I havent had it stopped for me once and works for bluetooth as well.

Convolver was on by mistake .
On phone speaker I use only FIR equalizer (V shaped custom set), both in car (BT) and airpods (BT) I use only 1. FIR equalizer ( V shaped custom set), 2. Spectrum extension (10%) and 3. ViPER Clarity (Natural, 8db).
Rather simple, but daaaamn it sounds so much better :good::good::good:!
I don't find the Bose QC35II DDC so..

Hey guys,
Do any of you have the problem with Viper being enabled but not processing? (See screenshot)
Restarting the phone and starting the app manually seems to work, but after a while the problem returns.

I have the same issue, sometimes it will survive a reboot, but most times it does not. I just made it a habit to go into options and flip legacy mode off then back on everyday, and it starts processing again.
Hopefully we find a better solution.
Strange.. i have follow exactly instructions from jemeljsh and no issues After.
Try to uninstall and reinstall. Maybe ?
