The latest version of Viper4Android FX is working from the magisk repo. I installed these 2 modules
Viper4Android FX v2.7.2.1
Audio Modification Library v4.0
And before rebooting went into Viper and hit Ok and the phone rebooted. after booting it didn't work so I had to go to settings and turn on legacy mode. It's now working with phone speaker across multiple reboots but I haven't tested bluetooth yet. It should work, if not the module Audio compatibility might fix it.
It likes to turn off a lot forcing you to restart your music app and v4a. It's kind of annoying
Aside from the crashing issues, does it help solve the horrible dsp config that Google puts on the P5 from the factory? I hate that ugly bass thump sound it makes. It's just like an iPhone.
James DSP FTW.
I havent had it stopped for me once and works for bluetooth as well.

Initially it didn't work, but now it does
Tried installing as you said:
1. Viper4Android FX v2.7.2.1 module, no reboot;
2.Audio Modification Library v4.0, no reboot;
3. Entered Viper and hit Ok and the phone rebooted.4
4. Processing not happening + Viper crashed when switching to Legacy.
Then I,
1. removed Audio Modification Library v4.0, but left Viper installed with Legacy mode enabled,
2. rebooted,
3. installed Audio Modification Library v4.0 again,
4. rebooted,
5. Baaaam..its working both with speaker and BT (AirPods, carstereo).

On phone speaker I use only FIR equalizer (V shaped custom set), both in car (BT) and airpods (BT) I use only 1. FIR equalizer ( V shaped custom set), 2. Spectrum extension (10%) and 3. ViPER Clarity (Natural, 8db).

Hey guys,
Do any of you have the problem with Viper being enabled but not processing? (See screenshot)
Restarting the phone and starting the app manually seems to work, but after a while the problem returns.

I have the same issue, sometimes it will survive a reboot, but most times it does not. I just made it a habit to go into options and flip legacy mode off then back on everyday, and it starts processing again.
Hopefully we find a better solution.
Strange.. i have follow exactly instructions from jemeljsh and no issues After.
Try to uninstall and reinstall. Maybe ?

K.A.T_V1.5.3.apk
ChangeLog:
- Add Hardware Pre Amp Boost slider
4 modes: 0 (no boost) , 1 (+6dB boost), 2 (+12dB boost), 3 (+18dB boost)
That will allow you to boost the level before sending it to the audio chip amplifier
This is to use mostly for apps/medias that have a low input level for example some of the streaming apps like Netflix with which that new option does wonders
Keep in mind that if your media already has a normal audio level you will saturate the amp input and generate clipping / bad quality.

yes each feature is separate.
By default it will improves the audio quality.
Only if you set things manually or push the hardware volume to max can you saturate thing and degrade quality.

Yes but last time i installed the app and clicked install, my audio stayed horrible and i had to do that dsp reinit thing constantly for my audio to be restored. Ended up having to reinstall the rom because of the hastle. Should i not use the install button in the app?
Does installing the app get the gps fixed or will i need to press Install once in the app?

Same problem with K.A.T Toolbox audio
I too am having difficulty with changing audio settings in the KAT Toolbox. "Error: IWM8903 not initialized" always shows up on pressing "Apply" for any audio profile. I have installed (and tried reinstalling) the "Tim_KatKernel_118_JB4.4_Lidpatch.zip", clearing the Dalvik and regular cache after the install. I also tried updating BusyBox. I have a TF101, lower serial number, running KatKiss-4.4.4_035; the KAT Toolbox version is 2.0.1.
Thanks for any help. The KatKiss version of 4.4.4 is an enormous improvement over the Android Revolution (Andriod v3) ROM I was previously running -- thank you! If the tablet can ultimately be made to deliver some volume, that would be a 100% success.

Success! I simply uninstalled v2.0.1, and installed v1.5.3. (Figured I might as well try that first.) The earlier version is working without error; there is a definite improvement in volume. Not booming, but definitely much better. Thank you again for extending the life of my TF101.

Can't seem to install
Hi, I have a rooted TF101 with the latest Superuser, and can't seem to install the .apk for this now that I am on 5.1.1 Release 6 -- It would install on versions of Android prior to 5.1 -- has anyone else had this issue, or have a suggestion? (The dialog box with both install and cancel buttons both come up when the .apk is executed, but the install button won't do anything -- only the cancel button works)
I realize it's listed on the OnePlus website but can anyone confirm it has bluetooth LDAC connectivity please? I've already ordered and am awaiting my 7 pro 256/12 nebula blue and I have a pair of Audeze Mobius headphones that utilize LDAC, hence I care not about 3.5mm headphone jack.

Check the Sony headphones app, certain features like the EQ will force SBC. Disabling those features should let it use LDAC.

Hi. I have 1000xm3 and op7pro.But during calls my microphone doesn't work. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Once when i switched off my phone and reset my 1000xm3 it worked for sometime but then again stopped. Any solution?
Here's something for people with LDAC devices to try out....if you are on Android 10, could you connect to your devices and then go to dev settings and see if you can change your bitrate from adaptive to optimise for audio quality? After updating to Android 10, i seem to have lost that ability with my Fiio BTR3 DAC. Worked fine for me back in Android Pie
I am still getting option to change the bit rate. But will that help?

Yup... LDAC bitrate setting always stays at adaptive on android 10. Tried with a OP7 non pro GM1900 running android 10 (OxygenOS 10.0.1.GM57AA), with Sony wh-1000mx3, wh-xb900n and wh-h910n.
Ergo, this problem isn't limited to a particular pair of headphones, or to the OP7Pro. This seems to be a more generic issue with OxygenOS 10 in general.

OP can you confirm if you have LDAC working on the mobius + OP7Pro. I got about 5 minutes hands on with a mobius at an event last week and could only get SBC/AAC (using an OP7 non pro though)
As per the title, really.
I have been pretty unhappy with the audio quality of the phone, specially when playing Spotify via Android Auto in the car.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a module and/or settings that can fix this?
My OnePlus 6 sounded way better under the same conditions - In comparison, the 7 Pro has overpowered and muddy bass, low mid-range and without details and a garbled high frequencies, almost like phased or wrong bitrate of playing.
Mind you, this is with Spotify Premium and set to maximum quality.
I really like Viper for audio (can install via magisk) but over Bluetooth, at max volume it clips heavily with bassy tracks if you have any kind of eq on bass. I remember having the problem with my OP5 and it being fixed with lineage os, but I like stock OOS so I don't want to move right now. If you can find a working dolby atmos install for android 9,thats good too.

Not full dolby atmos I'm talking about the one with full custom eq support that the razer phone has. Not the crappy one included.
Intelligent eq off, and using the custom eq. No clipping, great sound.

Where did you find your dolby atmos and how did you install?
Just one note - I feel that as long as it is not possible to disable/bypass the built-in Dolby Atmos processing, nothing that is flashed is going to make things better.
OnePlus needs to give us the ability to tweak audio settings or at least bypass that horrid processing they have going on.
The highs in particular sound like a heavily compressed .mp2 (no, not a typo) from the 90's with a 112kbps bit rate.
No idea what is going on with this sound but for many years I did not have a phone that sounded this bad.

VIPER4Android is great
install VIPER4Android_2.7.1.0-Magisk_Module.zip as magisk module (once rebooted open app and it will ask for root and install driver and reboot)
unzip ViPER4Android_Profiles.zip and move VIPER4Android folder to root of SDCard

Viper4android has been great for me as well. I asnt able to install it via magisk though, had to install from twrp.
I have noticed that the audio quality is different from the 6t. Not necessarily worse, just different. The highs do sound generally more compressed on the 7 pro vs 6t. As a result, my 7 pro Viper settings are markedly different from the 6t

Hello everyone. I have installed the february update on my A51, lots of bugs fixed, but when I tried to use Spotify with Apple AirPods the music keeps breaking.
I was afraid that it was a problem in the phone, but when I connected a BT speaker, it worked perfectly. I don't have another pair of BT headphones to test if it was a problem of the Airpods, I use them with Windows on my laptop and they work great, also tested a Galaxy A30 and they also worked fine, but on my A51 they seem to fail.
Anyone else with problems with Bluetooth, or with Airpods specifically?

Hi. I can confirm the issues with Apple Airpods 2. Shure 215 BT work fine and the Airpods stutter and seem to disconnect from time to time. They are not usable with the Galaxy A51. It gets better if I turn off wireless but that is not an option.

I use Audio misc. settings (downloadable through Fox's Magisk Module Manager) to achieve better control over volume steps and XtremeMusic SoundMod (https://www.antoniocirielli.it/2019/06/06/xtrememusic-audio-enahncement/) with its companion app to get a cleaner and clearer sound output.

Do all of these options allow for louder output?

In my case it's louder enough, there is even an option that is suitable for noise places, that gets even louder although it sacrifice bass...

JamesDSP works great on Pixel 7 Pro. A very good step up in audio quality and volume boost once you find the right combo of settings and Mod files.

I installed it. The sound quality does not change. No matter what settings you press, there is no effect.
I came from a s21 ultra and the speaker sound is not good as the samsung device. Seems to be loud at the max but the level seems to be bugged. At the medium level is very hard listen good the sound. Someone know how to fix it? I have a 7pro.

Are you sure you installed the latest version?
Do you have another audio module?
The change is very noticeable...

Does audio misc has an app to config? It doesn't work along with Asus Mod, but want it to test it to compare...

No, it doesn't have an app. You get 100 precise volume steps. At 50 steps volume gets really loud and at about 70 steps extremely loud.
You can also use this app instead of audio misc but it may not work with bluetooth headphones https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goodev.volume.booster

Can you boot into safe mode and uninstall or disable it? Hopefully don't have to wipe over your phone over this.

So this one will make the phone louder and more clear? That's all I needed from v4a. After I did that I never messed with settings.

I wish I could find a guide to Calibrate JamesDSP. Like when I buy a new TV and I go to rtings.com, etc to find the best calibrations settings for that model of TV.
I don't know what most of the settings are, sadly.

Yeah there are a few I don't touch because I don't know what they do or correct settings. A few I took from using Viper4Android and applied them. It is one of those trial and error deals, not everyone's taste will be the same.
