Yea this as always been a OP issue and I have no idea why...the Tmobile variant doesn't have this issues but global does.
If you're on global, then a few option to try is to go to...
setting -> battery -> Adaptive Battery = off
-> Battery optimization -> more option --> advanced optimization --> turn both off
-> find the affected apps click and check 'Don't optimize'
Hopefully that alone works for you if not then look up how to disable doze mode.

I'm having the same issues on T-Mobile Variant. Specifically with GroupMe. I went in to Don't optimize on it and still not getting them. I will try the other steps.

Turn Off Wifi during sleep mode

Hey guys,
I just need to know all the options available in HAM7 in order to switch-off the WI-FI whenever I pressed the lock-button or screen is off or phone in sleep mode?
However, Can anyone tells me how long does the phone needs to enter the "sleep mode" if it's screen timeout is set to 15seconds + all apps are protected "restricted" from (Running in background + Push-notification)?
Thanks

Hey Alex,
Thanks for your help, but i think there is already an option in the Huawei Ascend mate 7 phones for doing such thing but i can't really find it, the reason that i don't need to download any (Battery Saving Programs, that the phone is packed with the same utility too! called "Phone Manager") ,, it was working with me, but seems to be i done something (disable something or protect something "Restricting it") from doing it's normal function that i still don't figure it out what is it!
Thanks for your reply, I've tried this app and i wasn't knew what does "Smart WIFI" means until Now, so i would make it my last choice to download this app again, in case if i didn't find a way to manage it within the phone settings.

Unfortunately, I've the same options on "Never (increase data usage)"
But still the wifi is on, that means either the phone doesn't enter into sleep mode after 2-10mins or more or either it's not the option we're looking for!

Yeah, same here, I tested on 'Never' and I have the same result, so don't worry it's not from your phone, probably it's from the firmware I guess.
You can test the Smart Wi fi option from the Smart Battery Saver app to see if it works.

I'm on b120 also now and wi-fi doesn't turn off during sleep when I leave it to 'never' . But it's not that important, I don't know how much battery will save anyway

As you can see in the following picture it's my settings, without using the app "Smart Battery Saver" suggested by member in previous comments the device couldn't been able to Switch WIFI automatically, unless I use the app provided.
However, the phone was working properly but I don't know what happened to that option later on.
All my apps is restricted from running on background and app notification is restricted too, Sync is switched off. I wonder what eels remained.. lol
I found option to control Wi-Fi in the Viber application settings (you can see this option on the attached screenshot). May be you using something app like this?
And IMHO restrictions working only for automatic memory clearing if it's not enough for active application, but I could be wrong.

I found out if you want wi fi turning off during sleep do this: Go to settings - > WI-FI -> scroll down -> Advanced Settings -> Keep Wi- Fi on during sleep -> Only when plugged in.
I think this was the setting you were looking for. With this setting my wifi disables every time during sleep and reconnects automatic when i turn the screen on.

It seems to be doesn't work, I've tried it just in few minutes, and changed my display screen time-out for 15-seconds to go to sleep quickly, still it doesn't work after several minutes, so my question is for (How long does the phone consume from time to "enter sleep mode/device WI-FI switched Off") with your phone?

I think it must be in sleep mode at least 5 to 10 minutes. If you just turn off the screen and turn back on, the wifi will not disabled. Test it. Let the phone off for 5-10 minutes to have time to enter sleep mode. If you want to disable the wifi immediately every time you turn off the screen, the only solution is that app.

Ifttt and Tasker not running?

Since I got this phone ifttt and Tasker do not run any of my tasks... Anything I should check?
I'm not having any issue with Tasker. Things to check that comes to mind:
Ensure the app has root access
Disable/enable Tasker from the three dot menu
Check if it has special permissions in «Apps & notifications > Special app access»
Disable battery optimization

I tried all that. Tasker will only work if I got into the app first so seems something is killing it or not allowing it to run in the background.
Tasker works fine for me as well. Maybe it's optimised under battery settings?

Yes you just need to go into battery optimization, find the app, tap it and choose "don't optimize"

Not getting any notification until I open the app

Since today I'm on Open Beta 5, and I have the isse that apps like Snapchat/Instagram and Gmail aren't sending any notifications until I open the app and manually refresh them.
WhatsApp is working as it should.
I already checked the notification settings in these apps, but everything is set up as it should. I also tried "not optimizing" the apps in the battery settings, no help.
Any other idea?
Pin them in recents and it may help. Also make sure you have turned off sleep stanby optimisation under battery optimisation

Issue with Battery Optimization - Please Help

Battery Optimization always turn off my MicroG and Volume Style
Detail:
I Use MicroG for Vanced, and Volume Style for swipe volume. (I like these two apps very much for several years) Then need to turn off battery optimization. I choose to not optimize. Then it will always back to optimize. Every day, every time I should find these two apps, and set to not optimize.
Open app setting and turn off battery saver too, still the same.
Is it because of MIUI Optimization ? is it okay to turn it off? Or I just have to give up using those two apps anymore :crying:?
you can turn off MIUI optimization. try enable microG in autostart. and disable Miui battery saver in microG. recomend use MIUI eu for this youtube vanced for better experience.

Can confirm, I'm seeing the same here (Vanced on stock EU v12.0.3.0).
same here, especially if you reboot the optimisation comes back...very frustrating.

You don't need to turn off MIUI optimization. What's basically happening is that Microg doesn't request the proper app permissions for it to run on background smoothly. Even if you manually grant it the required permission i.e. Allow_in_power_save, it won't work, since it doesn't use it and MIUI requires it to be set to specify what to do. In short if you are worried about functionality then don't be. And if the notification bothers you, you can turn it off like in screenshots below.

I get it, so it means MicroG will still function well even though the notification appeared.
And what about function in Volume Style that always turn off because it back to optimize even I've already make it not optimize. Is there any suggestions what I have to do ?
seems MIUI battery settings seem to revert back after a while for "important apps" - such as Nova launcher for example.
i have optimisation off in developer settings, but no matter how many times i set specific apps to "no restriction" , MIUI 12 just reverts back after a little while.

Developer options>standby mode
Try setting all buckets to active*; if they're not already locked to active, power management is active.
Find the app causing this and deal with it directly.

*this may work but the power management app may simple reset the bucket state latter.

For those wondering (this thread is a top match via Google), the solution is to simply enable the app icon in microG settings. You can get to settings via YouTube Vanced. Then MIUI will treat it like a standard app, allowing you to disable battery optimisation and it will persist across reboots.

This is how it should appear if global power management is disabled. Although the bucket shows all buckets as active, many are not and not using battery or any resources like ApkExport or Autostarts which weren't in the memory cache at the time this screen shot was taken.

Signal App battery consumption problem on Moto G7 Power

Hi All,
I have plain LineageOS 18.1 installed on my Moto G7 Power, no GApps.
I am using the Signal App as my messenger and was wondering about the high battery consumption that the Signal App has.
Basically about 70% or more of the entire battery usage is just going to Signal.
I guess that cannot be normal. On my last phone (stock Android with google apps) the Signal App had a very low battery usage.
Does anyone have an idea what could be done about that?
Is it maybe because Signal is not able to use the push message service of the google apps (no GApps installed!) and has now to fallback on its own build in communication service which is maybe super frequently polling information from the signal servers to see if new message are there?
Has anyone the same experience as me?
I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks a lot, cheers!
I switched on "Battery Optimization" in Settings -> Apps -> Signal -> Advanced -> find the app and switch on Battery Optimization.

Thanks for your answer vasq10!
Unfortunately the menu navigation is different on my phone than what you described.
Are you sure you are talking about LineageOS 18.1 ?
Anyway, within the Signal App settings the point for battery optimisation says "Not optimised".
When trying to set up the optimization it says "Battery optimisation not available".
Also within the Signal App settings the setting for "Background restriction" is greyed out with the info "Background usage can't be restricted".
Any idea?
Yes, I'm on 18.1-nightly.
Settings -> Battery -> Battery Manager is enabled?
I've installed the Signal APK from the signal website, I habe no gapps or microg.

Yes, Battery Manager is enabled.
I also installed the Signal APK from the website and using no gapps or similar.
Are you also experiencing higher battery consumption of Signal as I described in my initial post?
Strange that the battery optimisation option is available for you and not for me.
Maybe anyone an info about that?

No, battery consumption is ok, 5% "Used for 3days 7hrs, 2min" Of course I didn't use it that much, but I'm also using the phone not that much. Battery is really fantastic for this device, like 1 week with one charge for me currently.
