I started looking at my phone and it looks like the left side of screen has more black bezel than the right. I will post pics later today. Really upset if this is true. With the 6T I had an issue and the RMA experience is horrible. Post pics of your side bezel so I can compare. Post with case on and off.
I was looking at mine, sorry i cant post a pic. what i think you might be noticing is that the factory installed screen protector is just the tinniest bit to the right. at least, thats what i notice on mine. you cant see it unless you really examine it closely, but the bezels are definitely the same on both sides.

It's seems to be really noticable with white background. Or maybe it's the stock case that cut uneven. Put on your stock case and see if one side of the phone shows more bezel. I am using the clear stock case and that might be the issue.
you might be right. best test i could think of was hiding the navbar, then going into an app where theres a text input box on the bottom. this way, you can compare the curve along the box

This is the best pic I can take off the screen not aligned. Not sure if you can tell but with the bright sunlight you can see where it's misaligned. Left side is off by a bit.
I see what you're talking about, but I do think it's the stock case as well (i'm still using the stock case) and not the phone, because when I take the case off and look at the actual bezel of the phone, it's the same
Looking at it with the sun directly shining on the screen. You can see the AMOLED is slightly shifted to the right.

It was. That's why I sent it back.
If you forward the the 6:10 mark you can see the AMOLED screen is not glued to glass. This issue I have can become very common.

Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a Oneplus one and am a bit disappointed with the display. Besides having the yellow part at the bottom, when I look a little at it at an angle I see the screen tint to whitish almost blue and this effect increases as my eyes level to the surface, this is best seen by looking from the right corner of the screen with a black background. Is this normal? I only need my head to be slightly away from the screen to notice it. Also I notice light bleed from the top.
Let me know if this is just an effect of the LCD display and if its normal. I've used amoled displays before this.
Regards,
Bobbie

I don't have this issue on mine. Honestly though, why is it such an issue? The scenario you're describing would just never happen in the normal use of the phone, nobody looks at their phone on such an angle when using it.

Hi Heisenberg,
Thanks for the quick reply. I do notice it during normal use otherwise it wouldn't be a problem. The phone is on the left side of my computer now and as i'm looking at it I notice the whitish blue tint while using a black background.

Fair enough. Dunno what to say though, I have two of these and neither of them have a tint when viewed on any angles. I initially thought my screen protector might be why but that can't be the case because one of them doesn't have a protector on it.

Mine does have a screen protector on it that was already on it when I received it, could it cause some kind of tinting? I only see it from an angle not if i just look down from the top to the bottom of the phone, then it looks perfect.

It's possible. Those films that come already on the phone aren't actually screen protectors as such, well they're not meant to be used for an extended period of time anyway, they're really just to give light protection during the shipping process. I'd recommend you remove that one and get yourself a good tempered glass protector. The Nillkin 9H is exceptional and it's quite cheap too (less than $10).
I took the plunge and decided to try out the S6... 32GB in black (don't need 64GB). Anyway, I'm already sketched out about AMOLED screens as it is since I am OCD when it comes to screens. I tried to stick with LCD/IPS but all current IPS Android phones suck, such as the G4 and the M9. Most of the market now uses AMOLED screens.
Well... I get the phone home and I was actually amazed that it was decently uniform, no horrible pink areas, grays seem as even as I can get on an AMOLED screen, so I guess it'll work. HOWEVER... when angling the phone downward, or looking at the phone from the top, I notice these strange "scratches" or whatever. They're not on the glass and they don't appear at any other angles, including both sides and from the bottom. I've attached some pics to show you what I'm referring to.
Has anyone seen this kind of thing before? Just my luck that I think I finally get a screen that's as perfect as can be and there's still something wrong with it. Honestly as long as it doesn't get worse I guess I'll live with it, I hate playing the AMOLED screen lottery like I've done in the past.
Use the phone looking straight on rather than an angle like that as it is intended to be looked at.
Any other remarks other than from the peanut gallery above?

Didn't the launch S6 have issues with various scratches under the glass? I could have sworn that was a legitimate issue. If anything try taking it back to the store to see if they will replace it for you without having to hassle with the insurance if you have it.

Yeah those pink scratches don't look right, I would ask them to turn on new phone and you do your inspection before they transfer line over.

I did look up the assumed "issue" and didn't turn up anything, just the issue with the outer glass being scratched on new Edge models.
Honestly I don't see them until I turn the phone at that angle, which I'm sure 95% of the time won't be viewing the screen from that position anyway. And honestly with my OCD with AMOLEDs and this screen being acceptable is a sigh of relief, so as long as the pink marks don't spread or become visible with normal viewing I'll deal with it. That, and I got the phone at a good price so it's still a win for me I guess.
This was a very hot issue at launch and it effected all variants not just the edge.

Disregard this thread. Because of the junk speaker, horrible LTE and wifi reception and terrible battery life this phone went back. Very disappointed with Samsung.
I'm glad I don't really have any of those issues...or at least I'll pretend like I dont.
I just got my phone last week and did not use it a lot. It was mostly in my pocket (always alone, no keys or anything) or standing on my desk. Today, I noticed there are some scratches on the back panel on the top and bottom! Is that normal ?? I thought the ceramic panel was supposed to be super scratch resistant. I'll post pictures when I have time.
Also, looking at the scratches carefully, I also noticed that the back panel is not flush with the body, it looks like the adhesive is missing in the top corner and it moves if I push it down.. really weird I think i'm gonna return it.
Definitely return it. This is not normal. Mine is very solid and the back panel does not move when you press on the corner. You've gotten a defective unit.

I took some photos, sorry for the quality, it's hard to focus on a mirror finish You can see the mini scratches (almost like fibers) and the gap between the metal body and the back panel.

First run had some pretty bad quality issues from what people have said on here.
I thought you were just whining, but that does look odd. I'd return it

I have scratches on mine just like that. I pre-ordered as soon as it was available. Might warranty exchange it.
return it, mine has no gap or play when applying pressure.

Agreed. That gap alone is worrying enough to warrant a return in my opinion. Will probably only continue to get worse.
So... Noticed the other day that each corner both on the bottom and top is really sharp. If I drag my fingers over it feels really rough. But on the middle top, sides and bottom its flat and smooth.
So the plastic frame between the metal and glass are uneven on the corners I thought.
So I sendt it in to repair since I thought this couldn't be right just to get the feedback it is normal...
So my question to other owners out there.
Are your corners sharp as well?
Could this be the screen protector that the phone comes with. Its applied very effectively so that you might not notice it.

Forgot to mention that. No. It's taken off ?
Every Google search I found said that
Mine has no sharps. But sharpness is in the eye of the beholder. Put a protective bumper case on it ! I found this to be a "must" because ( for me ) the stupid thing was always slipping out of my pocket.

I get that. I also got a case for it. But I am afraid dirt and debree gets in the easier because of it.
It could be a problem if your job exposes you and your phone to grit... I would still say 'install a protector' but then be on a regular schedule to pop it off and rinse it off. They pop off pretty easy, right ?

Nah. Actually prepared this phone with a nilkin back case and a full Adhesive screen protector. Plan to have this a long time. But it's a shame if mye phone is... "inferior" to everyone else's device
I know what you're talking about OP, and I noticed it the first day I had my op6.
Sharp probably isn't the word you're looking for to accurately describe the issue which is why most people are saying no. But there is a very rough transition between the frame and the glass. It is normal on the two op6 I have used

Appreciated for the confirm. It's a shame though
Each corner the plastic rim is slightly raised above the glass so that it might prevent direct impact to the fornt glass in case it falls.
I also noticed it the first day that I bought it and maybe it's just me but I feel the "sharpness" in every point of the border.
It was annoying to use the phone because the way I usually hold it my finger lays on the border and it hurt a bit, luckily with a case you don't feel it anymore.
Maybe reading these post about the problem made me think too much about it, because I just checked and it seems even a bit worse so now I don't know if I should contact OP or not
I've had my phone in the carbon case since day one, took the case off to clean it the other night and felt the "sharp" edges and wondered if I had either bent the frame or if the case had compressed the glass. I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this, as I didn't notice it in the few minutes of having my phone naked at launch.
Just took delivery of my OP7 Pro and immediately out of the box my eyes were drawn to what looks like a cosmetic issue at the top just to the left of the speaker grill. Hard to describe, not sure it is a scratch but looks more like dirt or dust stuck between screen or frame or maybe just shoddy glueing.
Picture attached, wondering if anybody else has seen this? Pondering whether to return it or not.
From the third picture i'd say it's from casting the aluminium frame, but i'm not entirely sure. But mine looks normal there, and it's covered by the bumper case anyway. But if it bothers you, then try and change it.

It does not look too bad under normal circumstances but does not feel right. I think I may return it.
Mine had something like that but on the bottom bezel. I think it was just excess adhesive or something. I was able to push it out with my finger nail and now it looks as it should.
Mine had same thing on it, I just ripped it off and now it looks normal.. their QC is not top notch... Neversettle I guess, lol
No I don't have that, but I have dust under the screen protector in 2 spots.
Replacement arriving this morning so let's see if this one has it too!
Replacement still not perfect but better than the first. Going to keep it I think.
