I have stock rom on my Oneplus 6. After the new OTA update 9.0.5 it downloads (aprrox 94 Mb) but installation failed. After 2 tries it says download full rom. then I rebooted my device, It stuck into fastboot mode. I called customer care they flashed the device remotely, now device is booted normally but all sensors are not working like proximity, autorotate etc. by dialing *#808# engineering menu tries to self-test & calibrate sensors but it shows only grey screen. Also sensor test & CPU-z app from play store also not showing any sensors.
dear members is it possible that flashing currupted my sensor files in system, could it possible to flash sensor file.
I tried to downgrade to 9.0.4 via update from local, says downgrade not possible. I tried Beta 16 update , problem still persist.
help me guys ASAP.
try to flash with msmdownloadtool, just search "op6 unbrick tool", if no success, try to flash via fastboot persist.img (pretty common issue with Xiaomi/OnePlus that comes to my repair shop) from working OP6. good luck.

I think you have a faulty phone now. Probably why you had a problem to start with. Msm takes you back to factory reset. Should work but if the problem is still there looks like its hardware. ?

So as you may know... I tried a little too hard and bricked my Mate 8.
I can get into flashboot with a black screen. I dug through the flashboot image and found some things that might help. Namely, doing the following:
fastboot flash rescue_recovery RECOVERY.IMG (from any Huawei rom version)
fastboot getvar rescue_enter_recovery
This will boot my phone into a mode where the light blinks green three times and red one time. It says it's some kind of HiSuite recovery mode that's being launched, from Fastboot, but no USB device is detected by the computer when it's plugged in.
I think this may be the entrypoint to recovering the phone (My guess is bootloader is the issue and needs to be reflashed, but can't be from fastboot). But I can't figure out how to proceed from here, having no recognized USB device. Putting recovery files on an SD card does nothing.
The other thing I've tried is using HiSuite with the phone in this mode, where it's recognized (it's a fastboot device so it should be...) but trying to do any kind of recovery from HiSuite says my device is not supported. NXT-AL10 is listed in supported devices so my guess is it's because of the unlocked bootloader.
What I'm hoping is that someone can try running the commands from fastboot and see if they get the same green/red light blinking status. Also, hoping that someone might find a way to flash an update.app from there. I can't get into any recovery mode other than that and fastboot, and flashing the permitted partitions (system, cache, userdata, recovery, cust) from flashboot doesn't help.
Thanks for anyone who can offer anything. If I can get my device working, I'll resume my work on finding various firmware versions and fixing the notification bug, but until then, I'm out of luck. My device is from China, so local Huawei Japan can't help me, too, sadly.
Can you fastboot other partitions except 5 partitions above ?
My idea , Maybe other parttition has problem but we can't know what partitions. If we fastboot flash other partitions maybe help.

im presuming uve most likely already checked that option, but just to make sure: the italian knife tool includes an experimental unbrick option for such emergency cases. maybe acer73 can provide some input there, since i havent used that option yet (might just be the inbuilt erecovery, in which case its useless for you, but hey, better be thorough, right?)

My tool don't work in this case. Duraaraa I give you in pm a Link for bulk driver
Just to update, the only partitions fastboot lets you flash are the ones mentioned above... cust, system, cache, recovery, userdata
There are also two special things that can be flashed, which aren't known publicly. One is called slock (I've yet to figure out how to use this) the other is rescue_recovery (this is what I was trying to work with.)
As for the information sent to me by acer, I appreciate it but unfortunately I don't see any such device as USBVID_12D1&PID_3609&REV_0000 so I can't do much with it.

IMHO this option is somehow hardcoded and not changeable/resettable flashing a new ROM.
Otherwise it will be easy for a thief to disable this protection system...
interesting, so basically hed have to somehow reflash the chinese rom and manually disable that function in order to get his phone going again....

If you enable this option, you can use the eRecovery to flash the rom freshly over again. On first bootup it will ask for your huawei ID and password to activate the phone. So you can't get around it by flashing. You need to know your huawei ID to set up the phone, then you can just not enable the option.

Hi all,
Has anyone tried the unmodified dirty Santa on the h990.
Im lookink in emdroidle user thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/bounty-thread-lg-v20-root-h990ds-t3493062/page17
hows working on the 990ds.
And he said that the unmodified original dirty Santa should work.
And the question if it will went brick this will resotre to stock?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/restore-v20-to-100-stock-bricked-devices-t3524903
???
No one had tried yet as far as i know .
For me i didnt get an answer for restore back if i bricked my device with this method . so its kinda riscky for me as i dont have another device to use if i bricked mine .
Seems like there's a compile files in the link directry to the h990 if bricked.
There is a kdz available for the h990 single sim so just try it. If it doesnt work then let me know and ill see if i can help. But you can restore to stock using the kdz

SP Flast Tool Error
Guys,
I am trying to do a nvram.img backup with SP Flash Tools, but when I connect my turned off phone I always get this error
ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL.
The phone than just starts (it shouldn't, I am not sure why). Someone had this problem before? I running the August release rom.
Thanks!
It was a problem with the cable connection due to the plastic cover. I removed the cover and the cable is now well connected. Everything worked....
Don't understand why when booting up with the 20170920 rom, the boot "Bluboo" shows up twice: first saying "Powered by Android" and than black screen and than powers up again just saying bluboo....
Help.
My cable can not connect to the computer. driver installed.
I think the cable is broken. but still charging and charging very slowly
does anyone like me?

Hello everyone, I have a big problem here
Today finally finish my wait time to unlock the bootloader
I decided to do it and install the ROM by xiaomi.eu
When I completed the installation and had the cell phone ready I realized that the camera wasn't working :crying: :crying:
I tried everything, i flash the rom for fastboot and camera still don't working
Most likely, that is a hardware failure, but if so, what could I do to repair it?

I was able to correct the error by downloading the global fastboot rom, extracting it and copying the file persist.img, then giving flash in TWRP corrected the problem.
Hello,
i did a transcript persist.img since then my fingerprint doesn't work. Unfortunately I did not make a backup backuppersist.img Please, if any of you here do not have persist.img functional or some other advice.
Thank you very much.
Download fastboot rom here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/lmi/and extract it.
I tried Global and EEA doesn't work.
Flash to EEA ROM and then calibration it already works. Thanks a lot.

Probably you loose Widevine L1 also.
I lost my fingerprint too, find my thread about that and how to fix it.
There is no need to flash ROM.
Just go and tap couple times to kernel to open CIT test, ind the right corner go to additional setting and find fingerprint option, find something black ,paper ,white , to cover sensors.. follow instructions..its simple..and your fingerprint will be back
For me, the fingerprint calibration on the Xiaomi.eu ROM did not work. Because of this, I first made a flash on the EEA ROM and then calibrated the fingerprint.
I uploaded my backup. You can try it, maybe it will help.
I fix mine with calibration but did you try this one in advanced setting? In CIT?
Because if you not try this in advanced setting the first one will nor working..and you will not be able to fix it and pass
