Anyone else ever experience this? I thought it could be bad database info, actually wrote HTC. Factory reset, cache partition wipe and even RUU did not fix the issue. Anyone have ideas? Will post back if I find a fix.
To produce - Dial any number even voicemail it gets stuck at "Dialing" ending the call, or letting it sit for too long will cause System to crash after the phone hangs.
This also occurs when receiving a call (not fun.)
I have found that it is in fact not anything to do with cell but a complete shutdown of the sound subsystem even after multiple factory resets and a RUU (going to try this again.) Another user with an 11 life seems to have had this same issue with no replies. https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11-life/help/audio-able-to-make-calls-t3898060

I cant not receive texts but i can send them and I've tried everything i can think of taking the battery out resetting it and deleting the text messages? can someone help please
I had this problem before, which seemed to occur when I changed the firmware string in my system file to unlock the full android market.
I reverted back that change, and then restored from my most recent titaniumbackup to fix this issue.
I'm not 100% sure on what causes this, nor what exactly fixed it, but I did manage to fix it without a full reflash.
the thing is it was a full fresh phone and was in complete working order then it just stopped working there was not anything done to the phone
When I get certain texts I get a phone process crash. It causes my network to disconnect for a second and kills battery life. I also am not receiving all of my texts or calls. I tried flashing a new ROM, resetting it through fastboot and flashing CM11S, etc. but have no idea as to what I can do to fix it. I realized I may have gone on *#*#4636#*#* and changed something before this issue began. I thought I changed everything back and I've looked at other T-Mobile phones and they look the same. Did I permanently screw something up, or did the hardware in my phone begin to fail or something? Thanks for your help the force crash is com.phone.android btw
Hi, I'm quite stucked in very inconvenient situation. But shortly - I have run Flaki System Cleaner 2 to clean some space on the phone, but it crashed during the process. I was not able to run the program again, so I restarted the phone. It showed message, that it is updating one app and then it starts the system. The problem is, that I cannot run almost any app (including phone or messaging) - it opens and immediately crashes. I thought the problem can be in the caches, so I rebooted to recovery and clean all caches. Unfortunately the problem persist. Does anybody knows how to repair it before I do the factory reset? I'm not much into the factory reset, as I'm only on the hotel wifi, which is slow and has data limits and I need to download maps of the countries I'm going to visit in two days...
Well, I finally ended up with factory reset, which unfortunately didn't solve the problem. So I had to reload factory firmware and redo the rooting and repartitioning process again (and obvioiusly all the app reinstall stuff). It took more than 10 hours (two tries - the first did not finish due to some unspecified reason; maybe it was because of bad resuming process after the internet connection was interrupted in the night), but finally I have my phone working again. So I have a "little" lesson learned and advice for others - never try new things with your phone (even though they worked perfect on other machines), when you are not at home )
Hi
In the last month my S6 restarts or freezes randomly.
I tried clearing the system cache through recovery and some apps cache.
removed all unnecessary apps and reset configuration to the very basic.
It happens randomly and there is days where it would work perfectly.
when it does begin with the restarting and freezing loop, I notice that it gets hot, not extremely hot but noticeably.
(when its getting stuck its not that the phone is hot, but after it gets into these restart loops it does get hot)
Besides factory reset I've done everything, I am trying to avoid the factory reset since I can't re-activate WhatsApp after the factory reset since I am in a different country than where my sim card is registered, and don't have SMS/CALL access.
Is there any way to diagnose whats going on? log files? apps to diagnose problems?
any tips for me before I send it in to the lab?
Thanks
T
First this is a rant, and I have seen multiple threads with some of the same problems.
1. Day one (right after unboxing) when I first powered on the device, I could not hear the other person on the phone. I tried calling multiple times, I even called on facebook messenger, they could hear me, but I could not hear them. The only way for me to get around this was to reboot my phone. This went away for a little bit, but has been happening again and again more frequently now.
2. BT will randomly switch from headset/stereo to phone speaker without any warning. Just a simple swap from talking to someone over BT and then thinking they hung up or disconnected, only finding out that it decided to swap from BT to phone. Incredibly annoying, and I have even lost some business calls from it.
3. Stock messaging app does not work. It wont send or receive messages. I have to use another 3rd party app to send and receive my text.
4. I am constantly getting notifications that there is a problem with getting my voicemails. Now I lose calls due to the BT failure, and now I do not get the voicemails when they try to all back.
5. Apps will not install. It will download them but it freezes at the install portion, I have tried clearing everything-cache and what not, and only way to get around this is to reboot the phone again. really annoying when I want to install an app, I have to reboot my phone. Although I have had the same problems with my Note 8, So it is most likely a google issue.
Any one have any ideas on these? I am going to try and talk with TMO but odds are they will tell me to do a system reset.
Thanks.
Have you tried reflashing stock and a factory reset?
I would also suggest the factory reset.
However, I have been having issues with the play store this evening installing apps just as you mentioned. Cleared the cache and rebooted, everything installed fine then.
