Hi, I'm quite stucked in very inconvenient situation. But shortly - I have run Flaki System Cleaner 2 to clean some space on the phone, but it crashed during the process. I was not able to run the program again, so I restarted the phone. It showed message, that it is updating one app and then it starts the system. The problem is, that I cannot run almost any app (including phone or messaging) - it opens and immediately crashes. I thought the problem can be in the caches, so I rebooted to recovery and clean all caches. Unfortunately the problem persist. Does anybody knows how to repair it before I do the factory reset? I'm not much into the factory reset, as I'm only on the hotel wifi, which is slow and has data limits and I need to download maps of the countries I'm going to visit in two days...
Well, I finally ended up with factory reset, which unfortunately didn't solve the problem. So I had to reload factory firmware and redo the rooting and repartitioning process again (and obvioiusly all the app reinstall stuff). It took more than 10 hours (two tries - the first did not finish due to some unspecified reason; maybe it was because of bad resuming process after the internet connection was interrupted in the night), but finally I have my phone working again. So I have a "little" lesson learned and advice for others - never try new things with your phone (even though they worked perfect on other machines), when you are not at home )

I have had the transformer for about 2 weeks with no problems installing any apps.
However I was unsuccessful yesterday and googled about clearing cache, but it didn't work so I had to factory reset.
Today, I'm getting the installation unsuccessful messages again. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm starting to get annoyed I have to factory reset to fix this problem.

This happened to me also, I did several factory resets, clearing cache, etc... nothing. Also, keep an eye on the GTalk app, if you can't enter the market, then it's possible that GTalk can't logon. However, the browser and other stuff should work.
What I did is created a temporary second Gmail account, then on the TF, go to settings and remove your account, then add the new temporary account. Again, clear the Market cache again and Google Framework cache.
Try to go market and login on GTalk, if you still can't, no problem, the same thing happened to me.
After that, I did another factory reset, during the initial setup, I used my original GMail account again. Everything started to work as it should, Market and GTalk.
The problem lies within the Google account, like something got stuck or another thing that I don't know. It was frustrating at first...
Occasionally google does maintenance and this seems to affect certain accounts more than others. If you suddenly just get this error then you're better off being patient and try again at a later time/date. Sometimes it's only a few minutes, other times it's hours. It's also worth trying to bypass the app entirely and try using a desktop browser to install.
i've tried using my desktop to install apps, but it fails as well.
i'll try giving it tomorrow to see if it clears up, if not i'll just have to factory wipe again.
Folks, I rooted my SGS2 and installed CM7. I have been facing intermittent problems and had to do a factory reset 3 time already (in ~8 weeks). Don't know if these issues are related but any insight on how to resolve these would help.
Issues faced:
1. Around 3 weeks back, started getting popup messages saying activity android.xyz is not responding and needs to be force closed. This popup comes for multiple apps one behind the other. At this stage, I can do nothing but a factory reset via the recovery boot.
2. While connected to a phone call (either making or receiving), there was a sound playing in the background. First it was of a child speaking (some media file connecting to a call?) and now (after a reset), there is a notification ringtone sound every 5-7 seconds.
3. I have Titanium Backup Pro and have scheduled backups that run every day. I do see backup files in the backup location but the 'Batch' menu shows '0' for all restore options.
4. When I try to do a Titanuim Backup restore after a factory reset, nothing gets restored.
5. When I connect my phone to my laptop, it is not identified. I have tried to re-install all drivers but hasn't helped.
Has anyone faced any of these issues? Are they linked to a single root cause or are separate issues? Any known solutions?
Thanks!
Hi
I am having a problem that just cropped up on a Xoom 3g running unrooted, Motorola Jelly Bean 4.2.1. I am using it on wi-fi only, no Verizon account. The unit will get past the M screen and then ususally hangs up when it gets to the screen with the expanding colored rectangles. Sometimes the home screen will flash up for a split second, sometimes with enough time to log in. In either case it is back to the colored rectangles shortly, even if I get it to log in. I can get to the factory reset screen during the boot and do a full factory reset reload the apps and settings. I have done this twice. It works for about 20 or 30 boots and then colored rectangles show up in the middle of a session and its back to the boot problem.
Questions:
Does anyone have a quick answer?
Will rooting and reloading Android help or it is a hardware issue?
Thanks for any help
John
Have tried a full factory reset without restoring your apps and settings to see if the issue persist?

It seemed to work ok with the apps installed for a while. There were a couple which were suspect and I did not reinstall after the factor reset. It could be a problem though. Maybe I will try the reset again with only a couple of apps. I am still undescided on the root and updating the OS.

Hi again.
I did some thinking and now I suspect the Bluetooth connection. I had enabled an app that required BT (Logitech Harmony Hub). I also enabled the BT but not the app after the second factory reset. I did another factory reset and did not enable Bluethooth. The unit has been running flawless as before. I did a little searching on the web and found a guy with an identicle problem but it was not clear if it was resolved.. Does anyone know know if this is a common problem and if there is a solution. I could not find anything elso on the web or in the formum that helped. If this is a persistant problem, I am wondering if a custom rom would help.
Thanks
John
Hi
In the last month my S6 restarts or freezes randomly.
I tried clearing the system cache through recovery and some apps cache.
removed all unnecessary apps and reset configuration to the very basic.
It happens randomly and there is days where it would work perfectly.
when it does begin with the restarting and freezing loop, I notice that it gets hot, not extremely hot but noticeably.
(when its getting stuck its not that the phone is hot, but after it gets into these restart loops it does get hot)
Besides factory reset I've done everything, I am trying to avoid the factory reset since I can't re-activate WhatsApp after the factory reset since I am in a different country than where my sim card is registered, and don't have SMS/CALL access.
Is there any way to diagnose whats going on? log files? apps to diagnose problems?
any tips for me before I send it in to the lab?
Thanks
T
Hi all,
I've a Moto G3 (2015) smartphone that, since few weeks, has a very weird problem. It starts using a very high CPU % and so the device become really hot and the battery goes down in a very little time.
I've already done the reset (multiple times) and started fresh, with no imported backups and installing the apps one by one manually (and only few of them). But the problem still is there, without a precise reason (sometimes just after the reset, without any new installed/upgraded app, sometimes after some days and without any changes from the day before...)
All I can see is that when it happens the PlayStore stops working... It can't install new app, nor update any of the installed ones
I tried several guides form the web about the PlayStore problem but no one work... I've everytime to reset the phone and start anew
Has someone the same problem?
Thanks in advance
