HTC Touch pro 2 CDMA Intermittent Charge / Not Turning on

Hi Guys, ive looked through the forum and have not found anything like this.
First of all I have not flashed the wrong hard-spl or gsm rom or a rom for a different model.
I am using Energy.RHODCDMA.29022.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.DinikGlass.Jul.04, stock Radio (verizon - sim unlocked on the o2 network). A little background info I brought the phone from a US ebay merchant awhile ago it was working fine except the slider rebooting the phone but rarely happens.
Awhile ago some moisture go into the phone, it would turn on but the screen just wouldnot turn on, the htc boot sound will sound but thats it.. so i left it for a few days without the battery in it which fixed the problem.
Okay to the crux of it, yesterday the battery went dead as normal i put it on charge for awhile, turned it on to make a important call whilst on charge but the phone just turned off so did the orange light. Now sometimes it charges for a period then it stops and cycles constantly. Whats worse is that holding the power button doesnot even turn the darn thing on *.* I've tried to batteries (oem and replacement neither charge on my laptop or thru the charger). Tried to load into the bootloader even holding the power key for awhile does not work
As it does not turn on I cant get into the bootloader... to dump the rom any ideas?
Your battery is dead. Replace with new one and everything will work fine..!

Low battery bootloop but accessible via PC (fastboot & flashmode)

Hey community,
i bought a sony xperia z3 three months ago.
Yesterday I recognized that my phone was at 50% battery after charging the whole night.
I thought that its a bug or something and I got my real 100%, but after ~3 hours it was still at 50% and suddenly there was the "you have to charge your phone"-pop up for 1ms.
So i decided to plug in my charger and thought my phone will charge again. But no, the battery icon also switched from 14% to 50% in this 1ms. It was going on like (13%<->50%, 12%<->50% and so on) this until my phone died and got 0%.
I haven't unlocked my bootloader, flashed it or something like this. It was the original vodafone branded sony xperia z3.
Until now I can't charge my phone, because everytime I plug in the charger, my phone is booting with the low-battery icon and after 5 seconds it's turning of in a loop. Booting for 5 seconds and then shutting down and so on...
I thought my phone will have enough battery when I will plug in the charger for the whole night and my phone will try to start in this loop until it has enough battery. But again, nope!
Now I decided to unlock the bootloader and flash my phone with Cyanogenmod 12 or CMW, because my phone is accessible from the computer. I can go into the flashboot and flash mode.
But also after unlocking and flashing I've got the same thing again. It won't start.
I tried to charge it for about 4 hours in flashboot mode, because then the blue light is shining and my phone is not shutting down. But NOPE, same **** again.
I don't know what I can do anymore. Can you help me?
Do you think I have to change the battery?
Looking forward to hear from you! It's only three months old never dropped or something like this.
greetings and sorry for the wall of text

bro warranty covers that, but as soon as u unlocked bootloader, u kinda voided that too =(
go to Vodafone and DO NOT mention that you unlocked bootloader and explain the problem within 2 weeks of purchase u should receive a brand new device and afterwards they'll repair it for you
I have a small crack (2mm thick and I think it came from pressure) at the backcover and asked vodafone if they can change my backcover, because now it's not guaranteed that it's waterproof.
They said no, because it's my own fault if something is cracked or broken on the case and I have to pay 259€ to get a new one.
Yesterday I called vodafone again because of this problem and they won't repair it, because of my first support case and I have to pay 259€ to get a new phone. I was arguing for about 1 hours that this is a guarantee case and it has nothing to do with the crack, but they don't care and there are some laws that I could say that they have damaged my phone and so on. No chance.. Maybe I should call my advocate.
I read something about locking the bootloader? Maybe I can flash a stock version and lock the bootloader?
Try yellow reset button.
I also tried this before. It doesn't fix the problem.
Hi guys, Sorry to bring up such a old post but having a similar issue.. My Mrs phone just started rebooting one day, Vodafone refused to replace because tiny crack. The boot loader is unlockable I tried repairing with xperia windows tools the flashed older and different firmware's many times. The phone works when connected to PC but when unplugged or on normal charger just constant reboot.
Any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

After Sony's service and update to 5.1.1 my Z3 is showing 50% battery

I'm a XDA newbie and looking for help, explanation. I broke my screen on Z3 a month and more ago and send device to repair to official Sony service. Everything fine except that when I got device back and update it OTA to 5.1.1 - the battery is not charging anymore and is it showing 50% all the time. There are some exceptions that sometimes it shows real capacity.
I already had empty batteries but was able with tricks (such as holding power + volume down) to charge it to boot up cm 12.1 and even some older 4.4.4 roms (I did flash twrp, cyanogen recovery or cwm (from DooMLoRD) over fastboot and flashtool - which is working even with almost totally empty battery). All are showing 50% and not charging. I do not want to give it to Sony's service again and wait for phone one month again.
Any suggestions - how can I return my phone to it's full life again ? thanks !

I'm sorry mate, but they broke it and they should fix it. Before it turns to something else. A "REAL" problem. My suggestion - Send it back in. Cheers.

I definitely do not trust them No SW change possible ? I even tried original 4.4.4 from Sony and no luck.
Now - what's even funnier -> I can charge my phone only if I press volume up a few time - and does not matter if phone is on or off.
It goes like:
- if phone is connected to charger - charging stops and battery shows 50%
- If I press volume up - charging starts right away and shows "real" battery status
- If I'm lucky same status remains for a few minutes
Any clues would be more than welcome Thanks
Be careful. I had the exact same issue (only showing 50% battery - regardless of charging or discharging state), and when I did a forced reboot, the phone never restarted and I had to send it back to Sony. I'm still dealing with Sony on this. "Sudden death" is a known issue, and it appears the Z3 Compact works through it, whereas the Z3 becomes completely dead.
I was told it's a faulty motherboard / bad batch. They then sent me a phone with cracked glass and less memory than my model.

XZ premium froze, now won't turn on

Hey guys,
Have been using the xz premium (single sim edition) with unlocked bootloader and first version of Oreo ROM installed. The device froze the other day, then went blank. It won't respond to anything whatsoever (fastboot or flashmode) and I have pulled the battery leads and put them back again.
Any suggestions? I've had 0 water exposure and have no idea why this would be happening. Thanks in advance (=

You mean you opened up the device? The first thing you shouldve tried was holding the power button and volume up till it vibrates, if it wouldve vibrated. Since you say you have pulled the battery though that could only lead to either a dead battery or a faulty motherboard/hard brick somehow. Since you did nothing and the device just froze all on its own I cant say a dead battery would cause this as if it were the battery the device wouldve most likely powered off not froze.
Another thing that could be tried is to try power it on using just the charger. Also trying that without thw battery connected might help. If none of that works then the chances are its time for a motherboard replacement. Personally I wouldve just confirmed its death then sent it off to Sony for replacement. If the handset was completely dead and couldnt be recognised by PC then there wouldve been no way for Sony to verify that the bootloader was unlocked. Since you opened it to pull the battery that also would void the warranty. No matter how well you were to put it back together im sure there would be a way for Sony to verify if its been cracked open or not unfortunately.
I did a bootloader relock on my Xperia Z when I water damaged it and they never knew it had been unlocked and I got a replacement handset baring in mind that the device could be used just that issues occured with the volume buttons.
The most I can suggest is above. Either try the button combinations and charger methods, or considered a new device or motherboard replacement. Also if possible try the battery in another device if able to otherwise not much can be said without replacing. I hope this helps abit.

D6603 power off at 80%-70%

Hi Guys,
I have a D6603 unrooted, was rooted before.
Installed a clean firmware 5.1.1, was on 6 and 7 before.
My problem is when i charge the phone 100% it just power off at 80% or 70% with a message of low battery went to 0%
When i power it on again, it stay blocked on the sony logo, i need to put the resest button to make works again, when fully powered, it goes off again.
I tough it was a battery problem, of course it is, but not hardware it's software related, Why? this why:
When the phone goes off on 80%, and reboot and stuck on sony logo, i let it like this to see how many hours it would stay.
And yeah, it took 3 hours on this logo screen to goes off, that' mean the battery still have power.
This problem happened to me when i rooted my phone the first time, unlocked bootloader "was never rooted before until i did"
now even with unrooted i still occur this problem.
I need your help guys; i there's any workarround.
Thank you
i made another thing few hours ago, when the phone is fully out of power, i tried to charge it using my laptop usb port.
It was charging great and slowly, until it reach 50% it jumped to 100% directly.
