Hi guys,
I'm launching this topic because I have a big problem on my Pixel 3. For several hours, the touch screen has not responded and I no longer have access to the phone, I think it is a software problem but I do not have access to the recorvery because there is a security that uses the touch screen
I would have liked to know if anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem.

I think you could be a bit more clear here. You must have twrp installed because you don't need touchscreen for stock recovery which could help you.

Had this happen once. It was after a vendor.img change. Flashing factory boot fixed it.

Then I'm afraid it's a hardware problem.

Does the screen function in bootloader? If not like jd said its hardware. Most likely the flex ribbon connection.

i disassembled it and unplugged and replugged the cable beneath the speaker(ithe cable is connected to lcd so it might be the flex ribbon connection i have no idea) thank you guys for replying and helping me to solve this issue unfortunately, due to the downgrade my sdcard is erased and i lost my data but i'm glad that my phone is functioning properly :highfive:
Hey all, recently broke my n6p so had to go back to to the nexus 5. However, my nexus 5 doesn't want to work. It's stuck on that continuous loop of wiping. It reboots after a while and does the same wiping stuff. Left it for about 12 hours and no luck. I can boot to the bootloader but it also has problems, when I unlock the bootloader and reboot, it goes to the wiping screen and when I go back to the bootloader, its locked again. Can't seem to boot to recovery either, it starts wiping after I select recovery (installed TWRP and CWM but no luck) BUT, nexus root toolkit manages to boot TWRP temporarily to run the OpenRecoveryScript. I tried using the boarddiag app to diagnose the problem but it says " partition.txt doesn't exist" when I try to pull boot.img.
Any help would be appreciated.

oh well... guess I will have to use a ****ty vodafone phone I have
If the screen and everything else is working, try to find a phone with a working motherboard and defective screen in order to replace the board with the defective chip. The swap is very easy to do with the right size screw driver.

Hello everyone!
I dont know if someone already posted this thread, but I'm a bit desperate now. Here is my problem.
A few days ago I was sliding through Facebook, when my phone screen just turned upside down and backwards.
1) Restarted the phone - NOTHING.
2) Rooted and tried to modify a line in system folder (rotation) that everyone said would solve the problem, but the line doesn't eve exist.
3) Factory reset and flashed stock firmware- NOTHING.
4) Tried updating screen firmware through MMI/USSD code, but phone refuses to execute codes.
Rtl layout is not on just so we're clear.
Screenshot is normal. The controls are the same, but the picture is upside down, so I would'nt say it's a hardware problem.
Any suggestions before I replace the damn screen?

That is kind of weird, unfortunately I have nothing to advice that you didn't perform previously , I think the best thing to do is to send it to customer service :/
In my opinion it is a software issue and changing the screen won't resolve it
Weird.
Is it revered in fastboot or recovery too?
This would highlight if it's a screen issue or ROM software...

Give it a try flashing another firmware via dload... May that could help..
Ok, we have a brealthrough! I flashed a few new firmwares, and when I flashed the last one the picture went to normal orientation, but now the screen is flickering and blinking and going bananas.

LOL.. those are really strange issues..
Downgrade your phone to marshmellow.. Try flashing marshmallow firmware.. If it went back to normal upgrade to nougat via OTA.
Holy crap it's back to normal. I went to developer options and disabled HW overlay. Apparently CPU and GPU were ''fighting'' over who's going to control the screen. So for anyone who has the same issue as me, and none of the solutions I mentioned in the first post help- flash stock firmaware/firmwares, and if the problem persists, disable HW overlay. Thanks a lot guys
EDIT - Oh and flashing firmware via dload worked like a charm. Thanks hassanjavaid8181

Hello, i flashed the twrp for the s8 on a s8+, i know that is a noob error, but what i can do now?...
The problem is that now the touch screen is unresponsive. It does literally nothing.
I am stuck at the screen that says "Keep System Read only?" where I have to "Swipe to Unlock Modifications", but find myself unable to do so because my touch screen doesn't let me swipe!
I tried to soft reboot and did not help.
Please help

If you can get back into download mode try and reflash twrp s8+ version.

I'm not really sure what the problem is? Like the post says above reboot into download mode and re-flash TWRP?
Are you having problems getting into download mode?

TWRP is device specific so if you flash the wrong one you will have some issues.

I would say their issue was due to storage being full. When this happens, the device can no longer cache data as it needs in order to boot and load apps.
The solution would be to clear some space.
