Try to: Restart the phone, activate and deactivate airplane mode.
maybe it's a dns problem, try to download "1.1.1.1" from the playstore and install it, go through the process and you should be able to solve this problem.

me too its happened about 2 days ago i thought it's because my wifi or my 3G connection lost but it wasnt

I was freaking out as I have just got my Touch Pro and I though I had broken it somehow? Have Hard Reset it 3 times but still the weather update keeps reporting a connection error. What to do? I am in New Zealand and have tried 3G & WiFi and it mkes no difference! I have emailed HTC Support about the issue but is there any way to confirm if it is AccuWeather's problem? Hope this can be resolved as I don't want to start tinkering with the ROM while it is still so new and under warantee. Helpful advice appreciated

Try the fix right above your post. I went through all the same things you did to try to fix it and just following those steps worked. (Don't ask me why!)

Thanks tried that but it complained about needing some newer net or something like that and wouldn't run the editor..

Hello World it seems that the even though the Editor won't actually run it does something that enables the weather updates to run again. Strange? What does it do that fixes it???

Great thanks, done all that and we are up and running again. Thanks everyone for your help.
dont know if its just accuweather server been fixed, or what, but everything works fine again. All i did was installing .Net 3.5 from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en
And after soft reset everything is back to normal.
Im using a Samsung Focus bought from Rogers but using with Fido. It's NOT unlocked however, but works though.
I heard that MMS wont work if I use Rogers phone on Fido, and that's true, it doesnt.
But I have 2 other problems, and Im not sure if they are my Samsung Focus' problem or a Window Phone problem.
1) I tried the group chat feature for the first time a few weeks ago and turns out it doesnt work! When I try it out, it tells me there has been an error or something.
2) I noticed that when I go to the original Marketplace app, it doesn't show the updates for my apps. I remember it did before and it updated all my apps, but last month I found out some of the apps I had have been updated but yet the Marketplace doesnt tell me that and I have no idea how to update them. I have a lot of apps and I don't want to go through each one of them to see if they have updates and then reinstall; that would be terribly tedious.
So does anyone else have one of these 2 problems and does anyone know how I could fix them?

MMS works on ATT if you run att connection setup. Does samsung have something similar for rodgers?
updates should work... what if you use wifi?
Maybe something has them hung up along the way. hard reset to fix it?

I dont mind not having MMS. I dont use data, I only use wifi. Yea, so far, it seems like the only way to fix the app update problem is by resetting the phone. But i still dont know whats causing the group chat to not work; and yes, I did turn group chat on in the settings.

I've recently bought a Lenovo K860 from Bangalore, India. There were two issue.
1. After every SMS our service provider (TATA Docomo, India) sends a pop up message stating the charges for your last call/message. This message comes up with gibberish letters, completely UN-readable. I've called up Lenovo Customer Service and explained the problem to them. Now they are coming up with a patch to fix this issue.
2. Trying to send TEXT messages to another user is becoming a pain. When I try sending a text message, sometimes it just displays "Sending" and had to wait for a long time before it fails to send. When I try again to resend it, it eventually gets sent. Now this is happening quite frequent. I didn't face this problem when I had used the same sim card on any other phone.
Question: Is it a network problem?
Or is there a problem with my OS?
My guess would be.. it cannot be a network issue since I've tried using the same service provider on another phone. I think it would either be a software (OS) issue or settings. If someone can help me sort this out, I'd really be grateful and very much appreciated.

Update: Took the phone to a Service Center a week back, the issue was immediately escalated to the higher up. Got a new Software Update yesterday, now the phone is working like a charm.
I somehow do not regret buying this phone. This is a trivial issue. Now no issues whatsoever. PERFECTO!!!

I'm not sure, could be a software bug of some sort.. You'll just have to wait and see if an update fixes it. Or your Bravia may be too old to connect to such a new phone, who knows..
I was playing with this yesterday on my Samsung Smart TV. If I selected screen mirroring on the TV nothing would happen. The s7 showed that I was connected to the TV and on the TV I could select media in source options to look at pics and home video. I found that with smart view app on s7 when I selected a movie to watch it automatically was displayed on the TV. Haven't tried mirroring games yet or just the home screen but that might need a different app than smart view. Hope this helps a bit

Same here.SM-G930F.Iam in stock rom rooted.The thruth i havent test it before the root(i did the manualy rooting sequense so i had to do formata data) so my phone dosent have the first update.Now when i select the quick launche smart view icon , the phone searchs and find the tv i tap to connect the tv is going black(its going to connect) and then my phone kick me out and a pop up appears sayin '' Failed to enable smart view.Error occurred''.
But when i use the smart view app i can see all the photos and videos.The mirroring thouth isnt working.I tried to safe mode still nothing.Any ideas?
Same happens to me but if iI go in the TV settings and enable the wifi, the wifi direct and then I connect from the s7.. It works!

same thing happens to me. screen mirroring used to work. but i cant remember if it was before rooting or after. can it be the problem? still stock rom though
i think that it is a bug
i solved it. since i got my first android phone s2 and then s3 i experienced the same problem because i always rooted my phones. i also rooted my 27 and lost the screen mirroring and other features. then today i flashed the stock original firmware and everything is normal now. this bug, losing screen mirroring feature after rooting, is a big time problem that nobody can solve. if you need help you can check out this link as i did. you have to unroot it if you want to use those feature.

This technology is a joke. It has so many bugs. Samsung is falling apart. Their latest phones and televisions are overpriced garbage. Why does smart view only seem to work sporadically at best? I've got a brand new Samsung 8 series TV and a brand new Samsung S7. I can't say I'd recommend either device. Both were overpriced. Neither does what they said they'd do. Samsung doesn't seem to care. No help available.
I didn't root my S7 but I can't mirror the screen, just happen just one day and didn't work any more. Any idea? I have the rom stock from britain version with Android 7.0

I know this is a few months old but make sure you reboot after editing the build.prop file. Did it yesterday and it worked fine.

I'm bumping this old thread again as I haven't found a definite answer. I still have my S7 SM-G930F on stock MM/TW because I refuse to lose smartview functionality which works perfectly with my Samsung UN55H6350 on WiDi, (no Wifi needed). From what I have researched, Nougat update broke Smartview. Because It's reportedly never functioned the same since then, I have the below questions:
Does Smartview WiDi work on stock rooted MM/TW? WiDi functionality is essential to me. I stream phone content to my TV without WiFi most of the time. This is a deal breaker for me.
Does Smartview WiDi work on stock rooted Nougat/TW?
Are there any MM or Nougat Custom Roms where Smartview works over WiDi?

If you look at the video closely, my slides are not registered occasionally and it jumps from place to place. This problem appears and disappears randomly (It worsens when there are multiple fingers on the screen) making me unable to play FPS games like PUBG or COD at times.

It must be a hardware issue. How much time do you have it? If the guarantee is still valid, you should send it for service, otherwise you will need to pay a lot for the original screen..
By the way, how did you manage to update to android 10? From what country are you from? When did you receive it?

Hi! Yea I figured out it was an hardware problem and decided to change to another phone. I managed to follow one of the threads in updating my device to emu 10 well ahead of my country (Singapore) which only received it today. You can apparently force proxy update on the global version (EML-L29) with the use of Hisuite proxy.
