When I switch off the second sim manually, is it possible to keep it stopped while restarting the phone?
Is this a feature request, or maybe I'm missing a setting?
Thanks in advance

I can't help you because I've never had a dual SIM device, I'm only posting to tell you that you need to provide more information if you want help.
You need to post your device model number and your android version, otherwise, no one knows what to tell you because devices and stock firmware tend to all be different in some way.

I wasn't saying that you needed to post the brand name of the device, you need to post the specific device model number located in system settings or behind the battery and then post the android version that you are using.

Do a google search for:
"Custom ROMs for (your model number)"
If that doesn't give you any results then you'll have to wait for someone to build something or build it yourself.
I DO NOT GIVE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
Hello, I already do that with no results

Well then, you can try:
1) Waiting for someone to build something for your model number, if they ever do.
2) Finding a developer that is willing to build a ROM for your model number and then donate a device like yours to them so they can build it, developers require having the device in order to test what they build.
3) Building it for yourself.
If neither of those options work for you then you're out of luck.

Hey y'all!
Would anyone know how to get the fingerprint sensor working on a Sony Xperia xz premium G8142 US Customized Android 9? I know you can by flashing a foreign firmware but would like to just flash a certain part of the foreign firmware to keep my firmware as US Customized to keep Volte and wifi calling on t-mobile.
Thank you

I have the exact same question, that's the only thing holding me back to flash the us firmware. I have seen a tutorial on Reddit on Android 8 but I want to see what do the other people does first.
I would flash the central Europe version instead but I don't know the codename I think it is CE right?
CE1 is the correct generalized firmware wanted. If someone can figure out how to enable fingerprint on the US firmware that would be fantastic. I would love VoLTE and WiFi Calling alongside Fingerprint
I was able to do it, what I did was take certain files from CE1- put them into a new folder along with Newflasher and Partition folder and flash it...…..
I'll try and find the guide for you..

Just make sure you download the same version - firmware , you can't use .16.20 for .235 firmware .. has to be the same

I did! No volte or wifi calling. Also no fingerprint.
From what I seen that guide is incorrect. What you want to do is only install the libraries that enable the sensor. I have flashed the customized US version and I'll extract those libraries from another build that enables FP and make it a flashable zip.

Lol well what they said is true keeping drm keys is no longer important Sony doesn't require us to fake them anymore. Camera and Netflix work perfect in Pie. But unfortunately you'll need root as it modifies the system even if I created a prebuilt modified system the device verifies system on boot and you can only disable that by unlocking the bootloader.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If not, thats why you can't get TWRP installed correctly.

I knew of it to begin with. I was replying about the issue getting TWRP installed more than I was replying about getting Magisk installed.
Typically, when you install TWRP but the device won't boot into system, it is usually because the bootloader is locked or because the TWRP file is faulty, a faulty file being the cause is far less common than a locked bootloader being the cause. That was really why I replied.

No, that is not as true as you think it is. There are a lot of things that linux can't do when a device has a locked bootloader, stock recovery and no root. Root makes a very big difference in what can and can't be done, linux or no linux.
But with fastboot and an unlocked bootloader, none of that matters, you don't even need linux, just adb/fastboot.

I'm not a developer, I'm just good at figuring out and using things that other people have developed and troubleshooting issues, there really isn't much I can help you with on this subject, but....
If there was a straightforward, all-in-one, everything you need to know guide out there, I would give you some links, but there aren't any guides that are truly thorough enough to teach you what you want to know. Most of the guides are written under the assumption that the reader already has some knowledge of software development and various computer languages and coding, that makes it difficult for someone that is trying to learn.
I would suggest doing a search for:
"XDA University"
There are several threads there that discuss various subjects dealing with android development. Ask questions in the threads that you think will help you learn what you are trying to learn.
Also, do a search for:
"Setting up android build environment"
That will show you the basic setup, but there will be other things that you will need to install, you will figure out the other things as you go along learning where to start, things such as using C++ and Java.

Bro TWRP Or CWM in my Yu Ace...
I also ported mi6a TWRP in Yu Ace, but when I flash it's say The Size of TWRP is Greater than the limit..
I'm not sure how to phrase this, because I tried my best to look up similar questions and I couldn't.
In simple terms, can you guys tell me why an apk from One Plus wouldn't install on my Samsung phone? And is there a work-around to fix this issue?
Thanks.
Some apk requires firmware related features. Some needs to be installed as system file.
It'll help a lot to know what you are porting over.

First, compare the original app of its compatible with the version of Android ln your samsung s9 lineage os. If it's not compatible, then no.
Next check what is the properties granted to the app on oneplus. Grant the same permission. It might even need to be flashed in from custom recovery.
Next, check for required packages that the app is using. Try to port them over as well.
Tbh, why don't you just use a third party app to screen record.

I'm sorry, I don't get your question, you're using a op6t and you're not able to choose the correct model in XDA?
If so you have posted in the wrong place, this is op7 thread...
However you can always alter the build prop file to whichever model you want
