Should I unzip the file in a new folder, delete the compatibility.zip file inside and then zip again the new folder?
That's what I did to get the message in recovery that the new zip format is not flashable.
Help please!

No just open the zip select file and delete. Do not extract. Winrar on phone can do it easily

Excellent! It works finaaly; Many thanks.
You may need to untick signature verification in twrp though.

If your using miflash tool good luck because my mix 3 was soft bricked yesterday and that tool was absolutely useless. I used the all in one tool for the mi max 3 and boom fixed. It would say it flashed with success but the phone was in the same state and there's no flashing a 2.8gb file in 3 seconds anyways.

Hi all . I bought mi mix 3 chinesse version 8 from ebay who was stuck on bootloop. I tried to install stock firmware with fastboot and with adb but nothing happen. Can someone help what to do? Pls and thanks.

Nexus 5 unroot problems.

I'm having a real problem restoring my nexus 5 to stock. So far I have downloaded the .tgz zip folder and put my phone in fastboot mode. I feel like I am missing something though as I'm not sure how to flash-all and I'm quite stuck haha. Thanks in advance.
Unzip the gz file...

I have but the only thing in the zip is the "hammerhead-ktu84p-factory-35ea0277", where do I go from here?

You download and extract the .tgz, with 7zip if you're on Windows.
In there is a folder. Within the folder is another zip file you need to extract.
Not really sure what you're seeing. perhaps screenshots will help?
Right, think I have sorted it now, seems to be running, thanks for the help.
Thanks, I've been using Winrar but it hasn't been working properly. I used 7zip and it worked perfectly.

I am afraid I could not understand you here.
This is what I have done:
I tried this location in the internal storage:

I also tried this location in external sd card:

In both the cases, I could not select "Stock Edited ROM SM-G318H"
I hope I am quite clear in what I have done so far. I am using TWRP (v2.8.7.0) to do this work.

I've tried this but without success, have you tried in your device? Witch TWRP?
After unzip the folder and put on twrp folder I reboot into twrp / restore from external SD but don't appear that folder, no twrp folder or backup folder or firmware folder, I think the version of the twrp isn't correct (2.8.0.7) for this device SM-G318H, can you provide the correct twrp?
If o try install that folders appears but this is to flash zip

Mate 8 error flashing TWRP, plz help

Hi,
Today I just started rooting my mate 8,
Everything worked fine as I was able to easily unlock the boot loader free ,but when it came to flash twrp.img file in cmd it started showing errors, I downloaded almost 5 6 img files but nothing is going on, it shows 'cannot load twrp.img file', :/ I hv spent like almost 2 hours flashing nd searching for answer but their is no thread with suitable answer, many people have this problem, Plz help.
u either have to put the twrp image file into the same directory as your ADB/fastboot installation or navigate to the respective folder location via the recovery flash command

I hv download the trwp black and blue image file, now when I click to extract it in winzip or winrar, itsay the archive is either of unknown format or dAmaged.
Edit: So today after some hardwork I was able to flash the twrp.img file, then I format my device through it, everything worked fine, but when the home screen appeared it was very simple and sort of very 'BASIC', I went to 'THEMES' icon on my mate 8 but their were no themes like Mocha etc, what should I do now? I want my old themes back, is their any way?

Unzip the rom and delete "META-INF" folder, now extract "META-INF" folder from the attachment and place this new "META-INF" folder at the same location. Zip the rom again and flash from twrp
