I am afraid I could not understand you here.
This is what I have done:
I tried this location in the internal storage:
sdcard/TWRP/backups
I also tried this location in external sd card:
ex_sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS
In both the cases, I could not select "Stock Edited ROM SM-G318H"
I hope I am quite clear in what I have done so far. I am using TWRP (v2.8.7.0) to do this work.
Please help.

After unzip the folder and put on twrp folder I reboot into twrp / restore from external SD but don't appear that folder, no twrp folder or backup folder or firmware folder, I think the version of the twrp isn't correct (2.8.0.7) for this device SM-G318H, can you provide the correct twrp?
If o try install that folders appears but this is to flash zip

rooting galaxy R 4.0.4 failed

Hello everyone,
Please Help !!
i have installed android version 4.0.4 on my GT-19103
the base band version is 19103DDLP3
kernel version is 3.1.10-1169726
i tried every way to root my device but completely failed
i installed CWMR 4.0.0.2 using odin
my problem starts from here when i put the .Zip file in internal or external SD card (not in a folder)
and when i choose select zip file from SD
its not there
any other file is there
but any .zip file is not there (can't find .zip or .apk)
even i cant upgrade CWMR because higher version is .zip which i cant find either when i choose select zip file from SD
i tried all instructions and googling for days
i tried one click root
but the only thing i didn't try is
can i root my device using odin and old rooting package for android version 2.3.4 gingerbread although i am running android version 4.0.4 now??

First welcome to Galaxy R forum ..
From next time please don't create new thread for each every small thing, I didn't get you have you flashed CWM using ODIN if yes just flash Ardatdat's kernel you can download it from Dev Section....

buddy, there is Q/A thread for the same. I think you must use it first. But if you have made it so here is the solution for rooting:
Q. 4) How Can I flash CMW & Root my Galaxy R.?
A. 4) This is something Critical. Just Joking. Its so easy. If you are over GB then flash Superuser zip file(attached) & if you are over ICS then just flash Ardatdat's Kernel V4 or higher. it will automatically Root your Galaxy R. Link for Ardatdat's kernels in dropbox: → Dropbox ←
Also, one can follow this tutorial for Rooting ICS - > {Guide} Rooting Galaxy R on version 4.0.4 & for flashing CMW please follow this tut -> [Guide] How to flash stock FW and CWW and Root i9103
Also there is Q/A thread for your all questions(most probably) here → http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983262
Edit: Great, MJ used Hammer first.

WOW what a reply ! i like this part "each every small thing"
regardless it is a HUGE issue to me at least
you didn't understand the problem !
i can't flash any kernel because it is a ZIP file
CWR is not recognizing ZIP files
CWR can't see ZIP files
my problem with CWR and ZIP files
Hello, You can try one of these:
1. Try reflashing CWM v4.0.0.2 via ODIN and check if its recognizing the said zips.
2. Place the zips in a folder inside the internal sdcard and try.

Duplicate thread.
Check. here
Flash ardatdats kernel v4 or higher (download it from here) and youll be done.
And if CWM Recovery is not recognizing zip files..
Dont put it in a FOLDER like
/sdcard/xyz folder/abcd.zip
Put it like
sdcard/abcd.zip
i.e. Directly in the basic folder of sdcard..
NOT in any folder like bluetooth, clockworkmod, android,DCIM etc.
This might solve your issue mate

Sorry, your image isn't going through on my phone. You should have a file that extracts to a flash-all.bat, some *.sh files, a zip file and some other stuff. The zip file should extract to a number of *-.img files with system.img being one of them

patch (File Folder)

various "bootloader.*.img" 's
bootloader-flag (text document)
bootloader-flag-clear (text document)
radio.img.p (P file)

Also, if I have a modified system or framework with anything such as Xposed, will flashing the system.img for the current android version always revert it so I can sideload the newest update? And if I have a custom kernel I would have to do the boot.img as well?

Unlocked (639737.5) System Image Backup

I've uploaded a few updated stock files for the Unlocked variant of HTC One A9 (1.12.617.6) in case anyone needs them.
USE THESE FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK!
They can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8OH6sFjVE1ldGNjN29KX19zZm8
RUU_HIA_AERO_UL_M60_SENSE7GP_ATT_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.12.617.6.zip
This is an extracted zip of the latest HTC RUU.
This file will wipe everything on your phone EXCEPT External (SD) Storage
The easiest way to flash is to download the file, rename it to 2PQ9IMG.zip, copy it to your SD card, reboot to download mode and press volume up when prompted to flash
Otherwise, you can flash using htc_fastboot in RUU mode
fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastboot flash zip RUU_HIA_AERO_UL_M60_SENSE7GP_ATT_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.12.617.6.zip (what is htc_fastboot? it's HTC's very own fastboot utility that allows you to flash larger files than regular fastboot. where can you find it? it's not hard)
HTC_A9_2PQ9IMG_1.12.617.6_SystemImageBackupAndBoot.zip
TWRP system image backup. This file will restore your system to an unmodified state and should allow you to take an OTA Update if you're rooted or otherwise modified your system partition
This is NOT a flashable zip. It is a regular old compressed zip file.
Download it to your computer, unzip it, and copy the contents to the TWRP backup directory (sdcard/TWRP/Backups/.../...) on your device.
Boot to recovery
Go to Mount Menu and set System to Read-Only
Go to Restore and find and select this backup folder
Optional - I've included the stock boot image in case you have flashed a modified boot image and want to restore this as well
HTC_A9_2PQ9IMG_1.12.617.6_Stock_boot.img
stock boot image extracted from the 1.12.617.6 OTA update package
flash in download mode (fastboot flash boot HTC_A9_2PQ9IMG_1.12.617.6_Stock_boot.img)
HTC_A9_2PQ9IMG_1.12.617.6_Stock_recovery.img
Stock recovery for Unlocked edition (1.12.617.6)
Save this file in your fastboot folder
Boot to DOWNLOAD mode
Flash using fastboot (fastboot flash recovery HTC_A9_2PQ9IMG_1.12.617.6_Stock_recovery.img)

I tried to install xposed framework on my phone but it got stuck at the boot screen after installation. I copied the system image backup files into my SD card slot and booted it in recovery (TWRP). I've done everything the instruction says and i'm at the point where I've mounted the "system" folder as read-only. I go to the restore option but i don't see any files or folders to restore from. Did you copy my folder (2015-11-14--01-18-44_MRA58K_release-keys) into your TWRP backup directory?
Edit: if you don't have a TWRP backup directory, the easiest way to create one is to just run a backup of one of the small partitions (boot/recovery).

Ok, maybe I'll just try it. I have nothing to lose at this point.
Thanks for the response.
Thanks a a million!! Helped me out of a pinch with mine. Mine would just reboot as soon as any app got root permissions. Restoring your system backup fixed it!
Can you upload recovery_signed.img again Thank !

Mine wasn't correct. @Captain_Throwback posted one in the root thread in the dev section last night that works.

I was able to do a backup of system_image in twrp, but now when I try to recover, I get unable to mount /system. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

That's the message when you try to restore? Did you go into the mount menu and mount system as read-only (there's a check box underneath all the partitions)?
Hello, somehow I've managed to delete my OS. I'm still unlocked and s-off but when I try to restore with your file it crashed. So I wiped everything and started over. Here's my issue now. I downloaded your file and extracted it to put onto an external sd. Once I did that I made a small backup in TRWP and moved the file to sd/TRWP but when I go to restore its blank with only the small back up showing. I can't put system to read only, it think its because I have no OS. I can click/unclick everything else just not system.

You moved the backup folder under external_sd/TWRP/YOUR_SERIAL_NUMBER/ ? That's where it has to be for TWRP to see it. And that shouldn't prevent you from being able to mount system read-only (unless you're getting an error on /system, in which case you should wipe/format it).

Each time I hit a dead end, I wipe and format. I am getting an error saying unable to mount system. I sent some info over to @jcase about my device and he said that HTC sent me an engineer firmware version. Does that make a difference at all?

I also appreciate your patience with me @Captain_Throwback. I normally don't have issues with stuff like this.

Can you upload a copy of your recovery log? And please confirm where you're putting the backup folder?

[ROM] [STOCK] [SM-G350] NANDroid Backup (TWRP) of stock 4.2.2 for SM-G350

There is a backup of stock system of SM-G350. Made with TWRP (thanks @santeri3700)
Download link: TWRP BACKUP STOCK SYSTEM 4.2.2
Note: I've uploaded it on MEGA for compatibility reason. Enjoy! )
Hello thanks for the post, I copied the and extract the zip to my external SD. When I'm trying to restore it with TWPR I cannot see any folders to restore from. I also made a backup for my previous rom and the structure is exactly the same "TWRP/Backups/42030db6552fc000/2016-01-31--12-22-16 JDQ39.G350XXU0ANG4"
What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Found the solution, you have to use the same numbers from the backup you did before and then TWRP will see the folders.

You can flash with TWRP, do as below
Unzip the rom and delete "META-INF" folder, now extract "META-INF" folder from the attachment and place this new "META-INF" folder at the same location. Zip the rom again and flash from twrp
Share results and hit thanks
I have latest twrp, is fine to flash, I am very upset with custom ROMs.
