[ROM][PIE][9.0]AOSPExtended GSI ROM for X01BD ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 - Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries,

Hello all,
I have fully tested AOSOExtended ROM for zenfone Max Pro M2 device. And it has successfully worked for the volte calling and receiving. Only you need to install the IMS.APK which is post booting the room.
Download 64 bit A only
https://api.aospextended.com/downlo...b8bf350d1b37eb1eb2f1a21402438d535e41dae87c4e6
Steps.
1. Once download complete, extract the image file from the zip file.
2. Go to TWRP recovery and wipe out the data, cache, dalvik cache and system only.
3. Now install the image file to the system partition
4. Reboot the system once image has been installed and configure the things after booting. (Note : For JIO users - gapps should not be installed in the first because while booting system first time it will ask for the username and password and internet will not be available due to the default 3G configuration)
5. What you say configure all the things just download the attacks app I am asap and installed it adds normal installation like from the browser or file manager.
6. Reboot once and wait for 2-3 minutes, you will see HD icon.
After this VOLTE will start.
Credit goes to AOSOExtended ROM developer.
Known bugs.
Hotspot is not working
Thank you

You should have decrypted vendor.
So run Decrypt.zip once before installing GSI.

This is strange issue dont know why.
For me GSI ROMS like HavocOS/Descendant - ver. OneDotFive/LiquidRemix not getting booted.
whereas AOSPExtended/RR 7/Arrow/ Phh-Treble GSI image booted successfully.
Seems ASUS provide bit diff devices of same model.

Stuck on LineageOS boot animation (first boot taking 1h+)

Need some help, I keep getting a infinite boot animation. I tried to install LineageOS (thread) on my G920F three times and let them all boot for about an hour without success.
This is the order of how I flashed it:
1. Wipe Davik, System, Data and Cache
2. Flash the LineageOS zip
3. Flash the Zerofltexx kernel img
4. First try flashed OpenGAPPS, second try flashed MindTheGAPPS and third try didn't flash GAPPS at all
5. Reboot and wait, after an hour still booting
Any idea's of what I'm doing wrong?
Fixed my issue!
Hi!
I had the same issue as you, followed the guides and installed TWRP through ODIN and flashed the OS through TWRP to boot it.
When I booted the device it just got stuck indefinitely on the loading animation (the Lineageos loading logo in my case).
Since you and some others had the same issue as me I assumed it was something to do with a new version of some software.
I resolved the issue by installing an older version of TWRP through ODIN,
I installed the TWRP version 3.2.3.
And then I flashed the same ROM with the GAPPS again.
After the ROM and GAPPS I also flashed MAGISK aswell from the magiskmanager website.
Download the MAGISK Zip.
After I flashed the ROM, GAPPS and MAGISK through the TWRP 3.2.3 it booted as intended.
Hope this works for you aswell!
how long did it take to boot
First Boot needs longer...up to 15 minutes is possible.

Remove the TWRP from the phone via the advance key in TWRP. I had tried several ROMs and Gapps only to get stuck on the boot screen then back to the TWRP screen. Removing the app made my new rom boot in less than 10 seconds.
If you can give us exactly the steps you follow

Steps (I have followed the instructions to the letter)
Wiped all partitions (advanced wipe)
formatted DATA partition
rebooted back into recovery
installed Lineage 17 and Gapps
Rebooted to system and left it all day, still stuck on boot animation
Tried again without gapps same results
Tried other roms they work, AOSP showing no encryption which works fine
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to flash different kernel? TWRP 3.3.1 installed.
Im using G920L it booting to long then just go to twrp anyhelp?

For reference, formatting data after install seems to often be the solution when flashing a new OS to a Moto G5 Plus.

I have already tried wipping cache and dalvik cache, I even wiped system and data and installed the ROM again but the phone's still stuck in a bootloop.
Now I'm about to flash through Odin back to stock and see if the phone turns on.
Hm... While I was downloading the stock firmware to flash the phone, I thought of checking the data folder inside the TWRP recovery, And turns out The data is still there, It never got wiped, that's why the phone is stuck in a bootloop, Now what could be preventing the data from getting wipped? I don't get any errors when I wipe the data partition, And this is also strange because usually you get a bootloop when you flash some kind of zip file through the recovery (mods or something like that), but I was just using the browser to download a file , And phone suddenly shutdown and got stuck in a bootloop, Could someone pls help me figure out what's causing the problem

That ROM is in BETA mode, which means it could be lost of things. Your question should be asked on the LOS 17 thread itself but when a ROM is in BETA mode it's very difficult to tell what the problem is. Ask the developer @ivanmeler he might be kind enough to answer you.

Flashing stock rom will restore stock kernal. Firmware must be correct for device and region.
Bootloop after Odin Flash.
1. After flash boot into stock recovery
2. How to>>> In this sequence hold volume down+home+power. As soon as phone goes off move finger to volume up while still holding home and power. It may take several attempts as you have to time it just right when the screen goes black.
3. Once in stock recovery choose wipe data/ factory reset. Then choose reboot device
4. Can take 5-10 minutes on first boot. Updating and erasing screens are normal during this process as well as rebooting. Just leave it finish.
If this does not work Reflash stock with Odin but this time uncheck "auto reboot" in Odin options before you start.
Once Flash finish, disconnect from pc and follow 1-4 as above.
Kernel Problem
Pls help as I figured out that all the kernels after v3.18.140.5 are not booting on my phone. Can someone help me with this.
Model No: SM-G930FD
Device: Galaxy S7 Flat
BL: 8 (Latest)
File System: ext4
I have already restored stock many times and formatted my device many times. I used firmware from samfw to go to stock.
That is why no Aosp was booting on my phone

lineageOs 17.1 oct 4 2020 update issues.

Hi; just a heads up I'm running 17.1 rom on moto xplay 1562 i think it is north america version p2c is hardware verrsion.
on the latest update from installed os it just downloads gets to 99% then verifies and shows download on install it does first reboot then shows installing icon then screen goes blank hold power screen comes back shows same installing icon goes a bit then screen shuts off.
I have to hold down power button till it reboots and delete download if it's still there. 2nd time i did this it was not.
have extra mem card installed. no twrp .
Don't forget to back every partition.
[/COLOR]Clear cached data system and dalvic then install and reboot.
whats your recovery? lineage-recovery?
the update is ota? or are you trying to install it manually?
for me ota works without problems!

the recovery is only activated when updating if this is set in the developer option.
for me the lineage recover works for ota. with twrp there is a bug since may what the image no longer starts after update.
either use older recovery or the latest from lineage. you can also use the twrp to save, install and set up everything. when that is done and running you can create a backup and then install the lineagerecovery as a zip. so ota works and has a backup.
alternatively you can also install the lineage recovery and only start the installation / backup twrp via adb / fastboot.
if you want to install the recovery you have to execute this command:
Code:
fastboot [B]flash[/B] twrpname.img
if you want the recovery boot you have to execute this command:
Code:
fastboot [B]boot[/B] twrpname.img
I hope it helps you a bit
freak sorry this is old now jeez .can close. this went way beyond this and back to 17.1

It doesn't work. I followed your instructions and instead of flashing the GSI you have linked to I downloaded the AOSP GSI from Google. It unfortunately reboots into fastboot. When I booted into TWRP it said system_root partition doesn't exist.

Can you please share the screenshots and what working or not working.
And if possible a video installation guide.
I couldn't boot the attached GSI but I managed to boot PHhussen's android 12 GSI. It wasn't ready for a daily driver just yet though. Many apps forced closed. Play Store wouldn't start up.
For the people who are facing bootloops with the first Pixel 5 rom, try a different TWRP. I flashed it with Oofgang TWRP which can be found on their telegram channel. Latest TWRP doesn't work.
Which twrp are u using??
There is an Android 12 Beta 5 in the PocoPixel Group, Go check it out, It is more stable.

Question Pixel Experince and TWRP

Have a nice day. I tried installing Pixel Experience. The installation went without any problems, the system is fast without any stuttering. Phone calls without problems, the problem is with the sound of the ringtone and the sound is distorted in games. And that's why I wanted to go back to the original EU-ROM from xiaomi. But there was a problem while recovering from TWRP. TWRP says cannot recover data from internal storage. I had TWRP set up fine. After rebooting into the system, TWRP is still loading me, I don't know what the problem is.

I did all this and did a clean install via MiFlash. But I was confused by the error after the flash, the red error field was lit on the right in MiFlash. But the ROM booted without any problems. After that I did a factory reset just to be sure. All ok, installing TWRP as well. However, in TWRP it shows me data without internal storage. This means it won't load on app refresh and nothing from internal storage. I don't know where the error really is.

The error is normal since you don't lock the bootloader.(mentioned in my tutorial)
It was useless to do a reset after Miflash had done it.

Try security on the lock screen to see if TWRP asks you for the code to decrypt.

I'm already reinstalling everything including TWRP. Otherwise, TWRP never asked me for a decryption code, but in the phone settings it is written that it is encrypted. Apparently that's the mistake. I'm doing a clean install. If the mistake wasn't that I did a factory reset after installing the ROM.

Factory reset just erases your data.
After installing the TWRP, reboot on the twrp and do not put any security on the lock screen.

You can try:
TWRP
wipe/format data type yes(if errors ,red lines, reboot twrp ant try again).
reboot twrp
flash a recovery rom
check if still the same.
ok I will try
I did as you wrote no error in TWRP nothing red. After installing TWRP, it's a mystery that TWRP won't boot automatically, I have to boot it via hardware buttons. However, the phone still lights up encrypted in the ROM. It's interesting.
