Have a nice day. I tried installing Pixel Experience. The installation went without any problems, the system is fast without any stuttering. Phone calls without problems, the problem is with the sound of the ringtone and the sound is distorted in games. And that's why I wanted to go back to the original EU-ROM from xiaomi. But there was a problem while recovering from TWRP. TWRP says cannot recover data from internal storage. I had TWRP set up fine. After rebooting into the system, TWRP is still loading me, I don't know what the problem is.

You must have done something wrong.
Factory reset your phone with:

I did all this and did a clean install via MiFlash. But I was confused by the error after the flash, the red error field was lit on the right in MiFlash. But the ROM booted without any problems. After that I did a factory reset just to be sure. All ok, installing TWRP as well. However, in TWRP it shows me data without internal storage. This means it won't load on app refresh and nothing from internal storage. I don't know where the error really is.

The error is normal since you don't lock the bootloader.(mentioned in my tutorial)
It was useless to do a reset after Miflash had done it.
Details on which rom and TWRP?

No problem on that side.
Try security on the lock screen to see if TWRP asks you for the code to decrypt.

I'm already reinstalling everything including TWRP. Otherwise, TWRP never asked me for a decryption code, but in the phone settings it is written that it is encrypted. Apparently that's the mistake. I'm doing a clean install. If the mistake wasn't that I did a factory reset after installing the ROM.

Factory reset just erases your data.
After installing the TWRP, reboot on the twrp and do not put any security on the lock screen.
I just installed the ROM, in phone settings I see - phone encrypted. I did not provide any security.

You can try:
TWRP
wipe/format data type yes(if errors ,red lines, reboot twrp ant try again).
reboot twrp
flash a recovery rom
check if still the same.
ok I will try
I did as you wrote no error in TWRP nothing red. After installing TWRP, it's a mystery that TWRP won't boot automatically, I have to boot it via hardware buttons. However, the phone still lights up encrypted in the ROM. It's interesting.

While attempting to flash the latest unofficial MIUI build yesterday, I got stuck at the animation logo, so I gave up. Instead, I flashed the Android L developer build, which did boot up completely for me. However, when I attempted to boot back into recovery, I got prompted to enter my encryption passcode, which I did. However, TWRP keeps telling me that decryption failed and to try again. The issue isn't an incorrect passcode, so I'm at a loss to try to figure out what's going on. Also, because TWRP won't decrypt my storage, I can't flash anything (despite the fact that I'm able to access SD card files from a file manager app when the phone is on). Any way I can get TWRP to decrypt my storage without having to wipe everything completely? Has anyone else experienced this?

Recovery is flashed in fastboot/bootloader...
Unless you used Towelroot, then you'll have to unlock the bootloader, which will wipe.
Really what I need is to figure out why TWRP isn't recognizing my encryption PIN. My storage is encrypted, but whenever I input my encryption PIN, I get an error message. How do I get it TWROP to recognize my encryption PIN?
Doesn't flashing L mess with your sdcard anyway?

Encryption always causes issues. I suggested to reflash TWRP with fastboot to rule out TWRP itself being the issue.
This is why I never encrypt. I just don't trust it.

Then i did a factory reset .. then i whiped data .. and reflashed rom .. anyways encryption is gone .. but i cant copy stuff from my pc to the handset well ... not that i care .. but kind of inconvenient
Was this resolved?
I am facing the same issue with the AOSP builds of L. I wanted to take new Nandroid backups and realized that TWRP cannot decrypt the partition.

No it cannot.
I was on 5.1.8 and updated to 5.1.9 but for some reason the phone boots, goes to the OS but immediately shows the shutting down dialog box and reboots the phone to recovery.
I tried reinstalling 5.1.9 with and without root but have the same result. I have tried with and without permanent twrp. The only thing I haven't tried is a factory reset as I am abroad and cannot afford to lose all my info (especially whatsapp as I won't be able to set it back up until 2 weeks when I return home).
Has anyone encountered anything like this or know how to fix it?

Just dirty flash 5.1.8 system update in TWRP, reflash TWRP, reboot recovery, flash magisk. You shouldn't have to wipe data if there were no problems in previous OS and forcing a shutdown shouldn't be due to data anyway. You could also try to dirty flash 5.1.9 again with those steps. Has to be the full ROM.

I'm travelling and the hotel wifi is super slow. I have the full 5.1.9 and I've tried dirty flashing and clean flashing (I did a nandroid backup first). With a dirty flash the phone boots to the lockscreen but immediately says shutting down and reboots, after the reboot it goes to recovery (stock or twrp whichever is installed). After a clean flash it seems to try to boot then just shuts off and reboots to whichever recovery is installed.
I've set 5.1.8 to download which will take HOURS so I'll report back with any update. I pray this fixes it...

In thw worst case, since ADB works, you can backup your entire internal storage to your computer and factory reset. Use adb-sync for this.

I meant take backup through ADB, format everything including data, internal storage, then fastboot flash full ROM zip.
I am having the same exact issue.
Can't restore a nandroid backup. All I get is light blue notification LED. I tried 5.1.8 and 5.1.9. With TWRP right after and without it. Without even magisk. It just bootloops forever. If I install 5.1.9/5.1.8 full zips, twrp, reboot recovery, magisk. It just reboots into twrp. I can't even install any of the full ota zips. It wont get past the android boot animation when I just want to flash the ota zip only. Can't get out of twrp. Luckily I was able to backup everything, but don't know how to proceed further allowing me to regain usage of my phone.
To me, this is sounding like something did not flash right with vendor partition.
if a full wipe of System, data, internal storage, the whole 9 yards doesn't work. The only option I see that should work is the mega unbrick thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3796051

Funny, I was about post that link but i see you found it first. It is also good that it fixed it for you.
As far as TWRP backups, you only need to backup data. You can just install the full ROM zip file and restore data to get everything back if you have issues with nandroid restore. Just don't forget to flash TWRP before rebooting or you will need to fastboot it again.
Maybe an issue with battery calibration. Try checking the battery when the phone just boots. If it says low battery and because of that its shutting down then its just a software error and just try to turn in the phone with charger connected to check if tgats the problem. If that dosent work try the oneplus 6 mega unbrick guide and return to stock oos 5.1.5 using snapdragon msm recovery tool. For detailed info see tge OP6 unbrick guide on xda. Tell me if it works

One question, when you manually change to slot B, you're in a black screen with blue notification LED right? If that doesn't even go fastboot, how do you get out of that slot into the other one again to the boot-recovery loop?
Hey there, I've tried installing the blu_spark TWRP, I've temporarily installed v9.86 .img file via fastboot, then tried flashing the zip for blu_spark TWRP, however every time I reboot into recovery it becomes the default OnePlus recovery. I don't get a "slide to allow system modifications" at the start, is that a problem? Thanks in advance!
If this can help, i fastbooted the Blu_Spark, flashed what i needed (magisk) and then flashed the official TWRP, i have the official now installed, not the Blu_Spark (i still prefer use the Blu_spark anyway for every official update, just in case)

So there is a bug into the last versions of all TWRP, enchilada and blu spark: if we have a lock screen (PIN , Sequence, facial lock screen) into the sdcard of TWRP we see strange folder's names like "OFgsjdhdfkeiu564sflk"...
If we disable all lock screen (PIN, Sequence, facial lock…) and reboot in fastboot and load TWRP, how a kind of magic, we can see all folders with the normal name and all zip and .img that we have copied into!!!
So is not a data corrupted and so we have not to format data, but we have only to disable all kind of lock screen!!!
Roel 1976 thank you so much everywhere you are!!!

Hello,
So in the first place I want to let you know, that I'm a total noob at this. (This is my first android phone after years of ios)
My problem is that I wanted to update my system from 9.5.7 to the newest 10.0.1. I was rooted, so I checked a few youtube videos how to update to have root after the process.
So anyway, I followed one of these videos. . There was a strange thing in the beginning too. When I hold the power button and then pressed the recovery mode, instead of twrp, the bootloader load up. So I fastbooted the twrp with my computer and did the thing that way. Now I have my phone on 10.0.1 with no magisk only the manager. If I try to fastboot twrp from computer the phone just stucks at fastboot text. I tried to do factory reset to have a clean system, but when I did it, it reboots and it boots into twrp, but that twrp says 0MB to storage and everything.
Sorry for my incompetence, I hope it is understandable.
The question is, how can I factory reset my phone?

You need twrp 3.3.1-70 for Android 10. Also, did you disable all Magisk modules before updating the phone, updating while having modules enabled will cause a bootloop. You should check the forums more often as there are some guides for newbies.

Hi guys,
I have a pretty weird problem.
I was running LineageOS 17.1, tried to go on 18.
Don't know what I screwed up but when I try to reboot to recovery as I do usually to flash, twrp boots but acts as if my files were encrypted.
I took care to remove pin lock before upgrade.
Weird thing is that when I boot twrp from fastboot, I can see my files.
My twrp is latest official 3.4.0-3
My system now can't boot (I think that it sees the data as encrypted also)
Would anyone know what's happening here ?

That's what I made but I would have liked to know why so I can avoid it happening again

Hi guys,
I have a pretty weird problem.

Have you solved it?
If you switch over to the other slot in twrp, is it different? My files appear encrypted on slot b (no password asked like with you) on slot a twrp asks for a password and all is fine and I can boot into my phone normally

Ok, thanks.
My slot B got messed up yesterday going from twrp-mauronofrio to the latest official twrp. Luckily slot A still readable, but not sure how to go forward
