What do you mean? British BTU officially updated two days ago and it's available for download, or I'm just not understanding your question? XD
Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
It downloaded yesterday both of mine and my wife's S7's (UK - SG930F - Unlocked Version)
Yes I also got the BTU OTA 3 days ago. I was having unlock issues, basically requiring me to enter pin most of the time and not accepting fingerpint unlock. Deleted and entered my fingerprints then a factory reset and still the same. Flashed back to australian firmware and the problem went away. Samsung Pay also does not work for US users with BTU firmware but it works fine with australian. So I'm back to waiting and hope when I get the next OTA the unlock issue doesn't happen again. I personally wasn't blown away but I only stayed with it a day. I didn't like the new notification panel...but I'm sure most do.
I have also had problems with my S7 on Nougat BTU. My S7 is a ETL (Checz Unlocked) in Spain. Data connection doesn't seem to work. All works except that (calls, sms, wi-fi). I tried also O2C, also Nougat. I've downgraded to MM ETL and Data connection works fine. I'm now downloading MM BTU, just in case data works in MM. If it does, I will try to upgrade to N.
You are missing point guys. I have regular international unbranded (no carrier) version of SGS7 Model G930F. Question is this.
Is there any confirmed OTA downloads and successful updates without ANY modifications. Download and install just simply by going into download manually or automatic notification about Nougat available just like any other update. I see ODIN, BTU some other crap that I need to do. NO. I want OTA without doing anything. So once again is there any confirmed OTA updates for international version of G930F. Like Right now I have software version: G930FXXU1BPLB/G930FOJV1BPK2/G930FXXU1BPJJ
If you can point of what EXACT version of international unit I have that'll be great because if people receiving updates already I don't understand why I am not.
P.S.
I do understand there are different versions of G930F but all I want is OTA to Nougat without doing anything.
Thanks !

Only country code BTU has OTA update for Nougat, if your G930F is not running a BTU CSC, you have to wait
Or, flash BTU Marshmallow and you'll get the OTA straight away

I've downloaded the btu firmware from sammobile. There are 5 files therein. Do I flash all or just the AP with odin?

I flashed all except HOME_CSC
(CSC will reset the phone to factory defaults)
Which is a good thing for a major OS upgrade IMO
Does anyone have a link to BTU_CSC?the CSC in the BTU 7.0 firmware doesn't change my product code
That is my point. BTU is a variant of G930F. How about All of them ? I mean they're not saying some variants are being updated, they're saying G930F and G935F being updated. I wish someone had some understand or some stats of what variants are receiving update.
I'm on the L29B185 stream MEA... The last updates I got were in March OTA!
I'm still on B181 with the April security patch.
Is this normal? Anyone else in Middle East/Africa?
I have B187 with security patch October 5th. Ooredoo Qatar sim card
B182, April 5 on Turkey. I think its normal.
C185 will not get OTA if it's out of ME area and using a non ME sim. Use ff to update.

That's not 100%correct, if you have an active ME sim it can update out of the ME, you must disable any other sim, switch off wifi and enable mobile data and then restart the phone. Once update comes through pause it and the turn on the wifi to proceed with the download, I updated my phone in the UK this way

If I'm on ATT do you really have to factory reset? I've never had to in the past when I've upgraded via Odin.
I've attempted to download the zip from the Washington mirror and I keep getting a "No archives found" error. Going to try the Netherlands mirror now and report back.

Thanks! for some reason my Samsung Pay stopped working. Getting the connection error message over and over again. I tried everything...deleting app, cache data for Samsung Pay and Samsung Pay Framework and everything else I could think of but problem has been happening for days now. Going to flash this to start from scratch to see what happens.

I had that happen on one of the V2 bootloader roms for ATT. It gave the connection error for Samsung Pay. It had something to do with that particular version. I had to roll back to something else. When I called the S Pay support line, they claimed it was an error at my bank. My bank saw the like 10 attempts and flagged my acct. I went back to my previous version, factory reset, and suddenly S Pay worked again.

Doing factory reset was the only thing that cleared it up for me.
We found a fix for this. Before you use Odin to flash, go into Samsung Pay settings and reset your device (don't worry, it doesn't delete your cards, just removes them). Then go into Settings/Accounts and remove your Samsung account. Do the flash, and reboot. When you come back in, login to Samsung first, then go reactivate cards in Samsung Pay. Total process (with flash) should take less than 10 minutes.

Hey, I have a SM-G965U (originally on Verizon) and currently on ARG8 build number. I flashed via Odin the Unlocked firmware then the T-Mobile firmware to get my device 100% T-Mobile looking a few months back. How do I go about getting the device back to a Verizon firmware and looking like a Verizon branded phone? The same route? Unlocked then Verizon? Does the ARG8 firmware matter? Thanks in advance.

Is there anyway to get TWRP on SM-G965U? Dont yell at me, have not read all the threads, but it seems to me this will never have an unlocked bootloader, and therefore, no roms will be available?????

Ah, so you're switching. Well, the S9 does not have BYOD yet. That means putting a different SIM in the device does exactly nothing, except keep you from using the old network.
You can wait for the U1 firmware to be updated to bootloader version 3. At that point, you'd flip from U to U1 and back to U.

So are you saying that basically the tmobile user data I just flashed just basically gets ignored? Thats rough... from your experience when do you expect Samsung to drop a V3 boot loader for U1?

It's not really ignored. All the user data for all carriers is always there. But the active CSC on the device determines what gets loaded (that's only sort of true, but close enough). Anyway, there isn't a way to flip the CSC on U firmware, so you're sort of stuck...for now.
U1 will get updated later this month, according to the quarterly schedule. When you see carriers start pushing September patch (probably ARI1 or higher), then U1 won't be far behind, maybe a few days.
They are working on BYOD support right now. It's not quite fully working yet, but a leaked build showed it off, and they've been improving it. If you're patient, that will roll out, too. They didn't get BYOD fully correct until December of last year for the S8. Although, if memory serves, it initially rolled out a bit earlier. Some people needed to do factory resets to fully switch until the December update. That's where the current leak has us at, so it's really not far away.

Is HA/H6 the one that includes BYOD support?
So technically updating to that firmware via recovery and update.zip method, and then using odin to flash U ARG8, would be a way to switch without having to ever flash U1?

Hi felix, just have one question. After flashing to u1, arw you going to be able to get OTA updates for the u1?
I have a s22 ultra usa varient. It's from att.
I saw that changing csc code helps to get updates. So, i changed it to XAA and yet didn't got any updates. Then I changed to USC and still not getting updates. What can I do now to get updates?
Its still running on February's update 2022.
If I try to update manually through odin. Do I need to destroy knox and unlock bootloader?
Did you complain to your carrier about this before making any changes to your phone? They are responsible for keeping your phone up to date and now that you’ve modified it, that might be a problem.
Had the same problem after I send IT to Samsung to Repair the Phone. Solution: Update the Phone with SmartSwitch on Your computer! Since then OTA is working again. I have resetted my Phone after using Smartswitch. Maybe this is Not necessary.

Are you in the US? The carrier devices get updates from the carrier, not Samsung. You have to be on AT&T's network to get updates for AT&T phones.
