What do you mean? British BTU officially updated two days ago and it's available for download, or I'm just not understanding your question? XD
Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

It downloaded yesterday both of mine and my wife's S7's (UK - SG930F - Unlocked Version)

Yes I also got the BTU OTA 3 days ago. I was having unlock issues, basically requiring me to enter pin most of the time and not accepting fingerpint unlock. Deleted and entered my fingerprints then a factory reset and still the same. Flashed back to australian firmware and the problem went away. Samsung Pay also does not work for US users with BTU firmware but it works fine with australian. So I'm back to waiting and hope when I get the next OTA the unlock issue doesn't happen again. I personally wasn't blown away but I only stayed with it a day. I didn't like the new notification panel...but I'm sure most do.

I have also had problems with my S7 on Nougat BTU. My S7 is a ETL (Checz Unlocked) in Spain. Data connection doesn't seem to work. All works except that (calls, sms, wi-fi). I tried also O2C, also Nougat. I've downgraded to MM ETL and Data connection works fine. I'm now downloading MM BTU, just in case data works in MM. If it does, I will try to upgrade to N.

You are missing point guys. I have regular international unbranded (no carrier) version of SGS7 Model G930F. Question is this.
Is there any confirmed OTA downloads and successful updates without ANY modifications. Download and install just simply by going into download manually or automatic notification about Nougat available just like any other update. I see ODIN, BTU some other crap that I need to do. NO. I want OTA without doing anything. So once again is there any confirmed OTA updates for international version of G930F. Like Right now I have software version: G930FXXU1BPLB/G930FOJV1BPK2/G930FXXU1BPJJ
If you can point of what EXACT version of international unit I have that'll be great because if people receiving updates already I don't understand why I am not.
P.S.
I do understand there are different versions of G930F but all I want is OTA to Nougat without doing anything.
Thanks !

Only country code BTU has OTA update for Nougat, if your G930F is not running a BTU CSC, you have to wait
Or, flash BTU Marshmallow and you'll get the OTA straight away

I've downloaded the btu firmware from sammobile. There are 5 files therein. Do I flash all or just the AP with odin?

I flashed all except HOME_CSC
(CSC will reset the phone to factory defaults)
Which is a good thing for a major OS upgrade IMO

Does anyone have a link to BTU_CSC?the CSC in the BTU 7.0 firmware doesn't change my product code

That is my point. BTU is a variant of G930F. How about All of them ? I mean they're not saying some variants are being updated, they're saying G930F and G935F being updated. I wish someone had some understand or some stats of what variants are receiving update.

[Q] Is there any way to convert an EE (UK) S6 to 100% stock, with updates?

I've tried flashing BTU - the SIM free firmware - with ODIn, and whilst it seems fine, updates don't seem to work. I have factory reset after every flash yet still software updates don't work. I know this because the version of BTU firmware I flashed was at least three versions old. When I check for updates I just get 'your software is up to date' - yet there are at least three newer versions of BTU on Sammobile.
The only thing I can think is that the low-level Computrace software that Samsung allegedly puts in their firmware is messing with the updates server. I know that Computrace still exists in the App Manager when I flash BTU. I've also just flashed 5.1.1 and it's still there.
I'd like to know if anyone with an EE S6 has managed to successfully get updates after flashing to a stock ROM, or if EE have crippled it. I wouldn't mind using EE's firmware as there is next to no bloatware; but their updates are horribly slow.
I should point out that I have never rooted the phone and the KNOX counter is not tripped. I've only ever flashed official firmware.
Thanks.
It could be your CSC is still pointing to EE and not BTU?
Nope, CSC shows as BTU when I boot into recovery.

Flashing BTU firmware on an EVR S6

Hi,
EE seem to take ages to update the firmware once new version come out and I am quite keen to get MM when it arrives (hopefully soon!).
If I flash BTU 5.5.1 software will it allow me to get 6.0 OTA when it comes out? Can I flash BTU over EVR or will I have to change CSC as well? I am not currently rooted and have not tripped Knox and would like to stay that way if possible.
Thanks for any help.
Can no-body offer any knowledge on whether I will be able to do this - flash BTU over EVR without changing CSC?
Please? :fingers-crossed:

I have the same Question (albeit I want to migrate G920I from Aus to Ind). The best answer i have found is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/best-to-change-csc-t3262575. Give it a try, should not trip KNOX. Do report back.

Not receiving OTA updates

I have got an unlocked Galaxy S7 (G930F) and have flashed the android nougat update (BTU - UK - 7.0). It is working fine.
Since I have updated to nougat, there are some updates released (bug fixes, I can confirm this on sammobile site) but are not available when I check for the updates in settings.
Any idea on what this issue might be.
If you have either root or custom recovery you can't receive OTAs but you can update using SmartSwitch on your PC

hi mate
Updates ( if you are not rooted) are CSC carrier dependent , if your carrier or CSC do not issue any updates ...you will not have them.
When you checked in sammobile you checked if your carrier / CSC had updates?
No updates on Smart switch

I do not have root or custom recovery. I have downloaded the firmware from sammobile and checked that the knox warranty is not tripped over and the device status is still official.

The BTU firmwares in the UK are not network dependent as far as I know and they come installed in unlocked devices with no network bloatware.
I do remember flashing the CSC (G930FOXA1DPLT - that's the current one) which came with the BTU firmware. The new CSC has updates (G930FOXA1DQB1).
Am I missing something or is the device still dependent on a network to approve this.
Do you get any error?

No, it says "the latest updates have already been installed "
I even had this issue on Android 6 so I downloaded the Android 7 and flashed it via odin. Now there are updates but I would like to get the OTA to update it.

Yes the bug fixes are for this country (UK).
I am not sure if they are carrier dependent as it is an unlocked software (I am on O2 and there is a different firmware for O2 locked devices).
Are they still carrier dependent is the phone is unlocked?

Okay, in this case I think I will have to wait for O2 to approve them.
I thought the idea of having an unlocked phone from samsung is to use any sim and get updates directly from Samsung when they release it.

Hi
You get updates either by the carrier or by the CSC , in your case you have an unbranded firmware , BTU, so no carrier updates...you will get an update only when an update for BTU unbranded firmware is release it , independently if there are other firmwares newer than yours around....only way to keep updated to the latests is flashing it yourself any new release , check this thread if you deciede to go that way
Try to get your CSC code by installing Phone Info from the market : I too have flashed the first official Nougat BTU UK 7.0 firmware with Odin, with a complete reset of the phone, but in my case I still have CSC = ITV and not BTU.
This seems to prevent us from getting the new OTA update : somewhere I've read that after the Odin procedure I should have entered recovery and factory reset the phone from there to get the CSV changed to BTU as the installed firmware is a "multi-csc" variant.
We still can download today's new firmware from SamMobile and use home_csc to avoid resetting again the phone.
Hope someone more expert than me can confirm/correct my statements

The BTU has a firmware update available on sammobile but not it's not OTA update on my phone.
What if I download the new update and flash it via odin with HOME_CSC file added. Will it start the updates by carrrier?

My S7 DUOS FD and my wife's S7 F both recieved the Nougat OTA update DQB1 today, mine was originally CSC XSG (UAE) and mi wife's was CSC TTT (Trinidad And Tobago), and both were updated to CSC BTU Nougat Final release, changing the CSC to BTU (this will wipe out your memory in the process but for a newer OS version it is recommended). I had doubts about getting any OTA updates since my S7 is the FD version which does not exists as a BTU phone originally, but in the end I got the update.
Long story short, if you want to recieve OTA updates after sideloading firmware with ODIN with a different CSC, you should fully convert to that new CSC, otherwise you won't get the OTA's.

Hi
if you have a DPLT firmware you should get it soon.....unless your system by some reason is not set as original ( even if knox is tripped but your system is set as original you will get it) anyhow is faster if you download it yourself and flash it , use home_csc so you will not factory reset your phone , NOTE: has to be the same home_csc that you have in your phone right now , not any home_csc for example:
Lets say you want to flash the latest firmware and it happens to be from France and you do not want to loose any of your apps , config or data
1 find out what CSC is installed in your phone ( phoneinfo app is great for that) in your case BTU
2 download the latest possible firmware for your CSC and extract from it the home_csc file , save it , discard the rest
3 download the latest firmware available , in our example France , extract from it download the MAIN-file and extract AP BL & CP save it , discard the other 2 files ( home_csc and CSC from France firmware
4 now take AP BL & CP from the latest firmware ( in our example France) and take the home_csc from a BTU firmware ( why , because is the CSC installed in your phone) and flash the together
In that way you can always have the latest in your phone without waiting for it , phone will not be knox tripped , will be 100%official as is all official firmware
If your using the btu version for UK phones, then how did you manage not to brick your phone? The UK phones do not have snapdragon, they have the Samsung chips.

Thank you, you are a hero :good:. I did update via odin and installed it without losing any data.
As I have said I have previously (about a week ago) used the CSC file rather than HOME_CSC.
I have the Phone Info app, The Orignal CSC code is blank(is it normal?), Does this look normal as I have not checked the CSC before updating to android nougat. I have added a screenshot of it.

G930F - How to get Nougat update OTA on Straight Talk (AT&T SIM) in the USA?

On the international Galaxy S7 (G930F) - How do I get the Nougat OTA update on Straight Talk (AT&T SIM) in the USA? I've tried manually checking for updates, but it says it's up to date. Everyone I've talked to on AT&T (without an MVNO) seems to have received the update already. Do I need to do something different because it's the international version, or because it's on an MVNO? I'm on the stock firmware.
Flash stock Nougat firmware for the G930F?
Pick a CSC such as XEU or BTU?

Is that the only way to get it on an MVNO? I was hoping for a low-risk OTA upgrade instead of worrying about flashing the right firmware but can certainly do a manual flash if that's the only way.

If your carrier has not / will not send out the OTA, then manual flashing is the only way, luckily for you the G930F is the most popular / compatible of the S7s

How do I change from Three UK firmware to BTU on Galaxy S8+ without losing data

Can anyone provide a very detail guide on how to change from Three UK firmware to BTU on Galaxy S8+ as Three UK hasn't updated Galaxy S8+ since April. I feel very left out at the moment. I would like to change without losing data. Is there a way of doing this?

Yeah I hate this too so out of date, but I am seeing three firmware appearing on sammobile everywhere else apart from united kingdom. I was actually thinking of flashing the three firmware at one stage as I'm missing out on volte but having more up to date firmware is top priority for me
I would like to keep WiFi calling. Even though I haven't used it once. Why is Three behaving like this. Did you flash BTU version after being fed up with Three lack of updates.

NOT possible...
BTU is part of the Multi-CSC OXM where MANY European CSC's are included.
If you download for i.e. the BTU-firmware, that'll be the same firmware as for i.e. PHN (Netherlands).
You'll have to flash BL CP AP & CSC_OXM on your phone; your phone will be resetted afterwards.
The DEFAULT CSC for OXM is XEU. Your phone "sees", that an UK-SIM is included and will "switch" to the best CSC for your device, which is in this case XEU. You won't get BTU on your device...
I'll lose my data with XEU won't I

If you change your CSC, you'll ALWAYS lose your data...
Also worth noting that to keep Volte/WiFi Calling you would need to use the Three Firmware (H3G) as the OXM CSC firmware does not enable it.
I'm a Three UK customer and have tried many times to get Volte/WiFi calling working on XEU (OXM Multi CSC) with no luck. Only works when I use H3G firmware but I hate the crappy branding so sacrificed Volte for no branding.
I flashed from vodafone uk to btu but as someone said you get xeu. Updates are fast I had 3 already.
Sent from my SM-G955F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I flashed the OXM firmware from henklbr's thread, but used HOME_CSC from the last H3G firmware to keep WiFi callling

Latest update was pushed this morning on 3UK
Good one
flashed three firmware coming from xeu but cant send text messages lol everything else works, also the message center is grayed out so i cant manually imput the smsc number....
Just need to wait until we get August update. Probably won't be till November/ December. I hope when Beta for Android O is released. We will be able to join in on the excitement
