Hi,
Do you know if the display manufacters of this phone? Sharp, Tianma?
Thanks
I actually just tried to find out using the DevCheck app, but there isn't a "Panel" listing like there was when checking my HTC 10? Not sure who makes them...

OK, the eyes are about the third thing to go when you get older, and I need reading glasses these days.
I've tried searching, but no luck.
Is there an OS or software out there for my wizard that is optimized for larger display type? The HTC home plugin has a nice big clock- maybe bigger than it needs to be, but seems to conflict with calendar.
It would also be nice to see who is calling me without having to squint and guess a little before I answer it.
I have done some VB programing in the past, but haven't tried it for WM yet.
Any ideas?
Have you tried going to start-->settings-->system tab-->screen-->text size tab and turning the text size all the way up?
Yup, that was the first thing I did. Maybe I have to actualy try to write some code and make a today plugin or two.

For larger Caller ID, I use Photo Contacts Pro. It is extremely nice.

Is there a messenger app that connects to various chat clients, sits down in the systems bar until you are in an active conversation then you get a small popup? Similar to how Text+ is where you can have a texting conversation without the window taking up very much of your screens real estate allowing you to easily multi-task? Obviously I would like demo version before I buy. Even apps that are "only" a couple USD add up to a lot if you have to pay for numerous ones to find the one that fits your needs. TIA

read it in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175829
Keywords for gougleh: android multi messenger app
Really hard to say, because everyone prefers another app. I liked trillian.
Maybe some new multi-mess-apps are out there, I do not know yet.
@nadmaj @47kt Thank you both. I will check things more.
I have never heard of LilyPad so I will read about that and check out that link.
I use Trillian on my laptop. It takes up a lot of real estate on my table unless there is a setting I haven't found. Again thank you both.
I'm using im+

@planetf1 I have tried im+ but again it seems to take up a lot of screen real estate unless there is a setting I haven't found. LilyPad is looking good so far. I'm hopeful it will do what I need. Thanks for your in put.
I like imo.im

I am trying to install apps from marketplace but for some reason MS or htc hasnt anticipated that people may want an app that doesnt run on the resolution of the htc 8x all I get is "this app uses features your phone doesn t have" very short sighted if you ask me. But perhaps someone knows of a work around. I searched around but have come up empty handed and am hoping someone knows a solution TIA...

what are you trying to install as i have never had that with my own 8X?
I have tried to install a few music player apps. the latest one was for Slacker. also pandora did not work either as I recall. but pretty much anything that uses lower resolution screens create the issue.

Sorry but those apps are not available by the looks of it in my region so im unable to test them,. But again Ive never had that problem with a lower resolution app. An example of this was netflix. Until recently this was set for a lower resolution and all it did was leave a black line at the top of screen which it didn't fill. I'm sure other lower res apps do the same thing,
I am trying to remember the name of an app, for rooted devices. It's supposed to make your phone easier on your eyes, when using at night time.
Thanks.
Good day.
I know this app, don't know if it is what you are searching for.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.ne.hardyinfinity.bluelightfilter.free
Nougat has it's own built in.
Thanks. I don't think this is the one I'm looking for, though. Something tells me that the name of the app, begins with an F.
Edit: I just figured it out. The name of the app is F.flux.
I'm not asking anyone to try and make an app I'm just curious if something like this is even possible. Is there anyway to view the gear 360 camera live on Android Wear watches(I have a Moto)? I have no idea how apps are made (I'm pretty sure the app stork brings them) I'm strictly end user so if sounds wildly far fetched its only out of sheer ignorance. Anyway thank you anyone who responds.
