My Acer Iconia B1_A71 was rooted according Toolkit Acer Iconia v0.9.4.
The system.img.gz was derived from RV05RC05 (RV05RC05 was also mentioned in the program during the rooting proces)
After rooting I got the message that the B1-A71 was rooted now.
But when I restarted the tablet only the Acer logo appeared.
As described in post #264 from Entonjackson I tried to reinstall the system.img.gz.
The system image was not recognized by the B1-A71 so I renamed it to system.img.zip.
It was recognized now but the reinstallation was aborted after a few seconds.
Can you suggest mee how to proceed?

I reinstalled the system with the file OS_Acer_Acer.AV051.B1-A71.RV05RC05_A41JA42J_A.zip from the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240029 of EntonJackson.(thanks!)
The tablet is ok now.
After that I rooted it from scratch via the Linux option.
I got at the end the message that the tablet was rooted now.
But checking with Rootchecker from GooglePlay shows no root access.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Any update?
Is here simple metod to nie obtain root?
Kingo root, dosent work for me.

Hello.
I have a problem. I have a tablet Cavion 7.1 Base 4.
I wanted to do root to be able to use the application Link2SD. (I've done it once already in my motorola Deffy mini xt320 there and it worked).
Tablet wanted to do the same thing, but it was not easy. The only solution I found was to install applications KingRoot which is poor. Part of the application requires SuperSU and that I could not use because I had no root. KingRoot did root but I could not install SuperSU the system continues to operate KingRoot.
For several days the tablet started to happen strange things stopped working screen rotation accelerometer, applications active on the top started off even though the earlier work properly. 2 days ago ceased to open the keyboard. in different applications. I wanted to do a factory reset. When you reset the tablet crashed and all night imaging the "erasing". Today I managed by ADB reboot device. The data have been removed but partially. still does not work rotation etc .. I did ADB reboot bootloader and the device hangs on the manufacturer's logo. The system detects the device as "Android ADB Interface" (USB \ VID_1F3A & PID_1010) but the same ADB can not see it.
Actions such long pressing power button or other combinations vol + does not work (sometimes earlier succeeded in Vol + and Power turn recovery which also crashed during the reset date but you could get out of it)
Does anyone have a solution to the problem of the tablet to start and how to solve the problem of root for this device?
If you have links with bin files too please. Kernel Android etc .... and programs to flash and manual

Witam.
Mam problem. Posiadam tablet Cavion 7.1 Base 4.
Jeśli posiadacie linki z plikami bin tez prosze. Kernel Android etc.... oraz programy do flashowania i instrukcja

Since I like flashing new ROMs on my oneplus one, one fine day after flashing it got stucked in bootloop, I checked in TWRP, and system was unmounted.( I donno how?). After hours of searching I got one XDA thread stating command "Mount System Ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7" I put that command in TWRP command prompt, And my oneplus one is now dead. . . .Any help folks?
Plz note that I am unable to use fadtboot, recovery or anything. . after connection to the PC its showing hardware bricked OPO. it has nothing but a black screen (nothing ever comes on the screen, not even a boot logo), has no Recovery partition, no adb mode, and no fastboot partition. The device might be detected in Linux and you might be able to even send commands to it. In Windows, the bricked OPO should be detected as QHSUSB_BULK USB"
AS I SAID the device is not showing up on the computer, AT ALL. Under any device name.
It does not vibrate when I hold the power button for 20 seconds, it has no ADB, no fastboot, no nothing.
Pls help. . .thanks in advance

Something similar happens to me after doing wonky flashes in TWRP sometimes. It seems bricked but continuously trying to long-press the power button a multitude of times always brings my bacon back. If it's not working for you, come back to it every 30 minutes or so.
No idea why the phone does this, but hopefully you'll eventually get it working again.
Let me know if this ends up helping you.

I wouldn't say hardware failure, but more of a partition corruption. This happens when you don't read OP and apply your brain. :/
In worst case, that toolkit should work fine and should format partition back to normal.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to enter EDL mode as the G8 Plus does not show signs of life? I tried to upload Android 10 but got a bootloop. When I got back to Pie the phone didn't get up anymore. When connected to a computer, it does not detect it in any way. It does not respond to the charger. I found in the service manual that you can enter EDL through the combination of the Volume up + Power buttons. I did not have the opportunity to try this method myself because I returned the phone to the service and tomorrow I will have an answer if something can be done. Is there a chance that such a corpse can be saved?

Hi,
My phone came back from the service and the only thing they could offer was to replace the motherboard. But I did not agree because the cost is almost like a new phone. What is destroyed in such a fault? Could she be so damaged by flashing the wrong rom? I am still thinking about whether it can be saved. Entering EDL 9008 mode with buttons does not work. But maybe the short circuit of the points on the motherboard will work ??? I guess which points these are.

I'm almost home now. I was able to wake up this cattle by shorting the pins on the board. If the blankflash goes, I drink vodka until morning.
