Just received it today, so first impressions only
Looks VERY nice, and strong
smooth as hell and very nice screen
Connects fast to wifi, 4g, and my BT devices are ok (BT2.1 & BT4.0)
So right now... Cool for the price
Device looks to be rootable with kingroot...
Any1 knows how to go to recovery ?

Have you tested the GPS?

i have the build 1.1_20151218, may i try with a downgrade if i can find somewhere...

The seller sent me a new ROM (2016-01-07) but I can't flash it...
Then send me a new phone...

hi all! i have this phone since Feb 4th, 2016... read this forum before buy and use this phone, i didnt update the system on it. after this fatal update, the phone doesnt turn on at all? made a brick?
a question: does this phone has notification led light at the front? as i know it does, but mine doesnt work at all, even during charging. how could i fix it?

Ok, I contacted Legoo and they kindly (but quite slowly) helped me.
Now I flashed the phone and it's working again on 2016-01-20 update.
It's a GOOD phone.

Hi , please tell us how to flash the phone.
My IMEI has disappeared too, i loaded all tools from LEAGOO website,
but when using the flash tool for replacing the ROM, theres no way to access the phone
Support from Leagoo is a mess, but the phone is quite good !
So, in what state should the phone be, to be recognized ?
I used "normal" mode of booting, just into the operating system, having USB for data transfer on, usb debugging on - phone isnt recognized by flashtool.
Sholud it be in recovery mode or fastboot mode, when yes, how to access it ?

The way to flash is "quite" simple:
You have to
-switch off the phone
-plug the usb cable
-press vol- and power at the same time
- The phone will turn on BUT the update software will recognize it
-release both buttons as soon as the soft sees the phone or it will turn off again
- And be patient: flash took 12 minutes for me but you'll see the progress
Had to find this by myself because the support people are VERY kind, but I'm not sure they want to tell this

What version of ROM do you have? I have MY_LEAGOO_Alfa_5_OS1.1_20160120 from Leagoo.com.my but is so lite ...it has no ringtones no sounds no themes .Do you have any rom with the previous goodies?

Sorry, same version... But there are ringtones and sounds... I don't know about themes, as I don't use them

Hi Guys, although (ring)tones seem not to be the most important for using this lovely phone, i would suggest to use one of the uncountable apps who provides ringtones and others.
Go to GooglePlay and search for "ZEDGE". There is advertising included, but for testing ist more than enough.

Hi There, another note to flashing ( also had to find it myself, didnt have a look here to note this fine advertisement
My way to flash:
- Switch off the phone
- Hold Volume - button
- Plug in the usb cable
- The phone will turn on AND the update software will recognize it
By the way, does anyone know a custom recovery for the Alfa 5 ?

note: updating via wireless updating menu from leagoo os1.1 lite 2015.12.xx (i dont remeber of the day) to leagoo os1.1 lite 2016.03.22 is SAFE! i just now did it and everything is fine.

Alcatel Onetouch Flash (6042D) Stock ROM
Installation:
1) Download here 6042D_Stock_Backup.rar (768MB)
2) Extract ROM
3) Download SP Flash Tools
4) Power off your phone
5) Open SPFT and click on "Scatter-loading", now choose the scatter file in the ROM archive
6) Uncheck Preloader.bin
7) Click on Download button
8) Now plug in your device with USB. Download should start. Wait till it finishes flashing (5 to 10 minutes according to your computer speed).
9) Unplug the cable, go to recovery mode (volume down + power till you see alcatel logo); wipe data & factory reset; then wipe cache partition.
10) Now reboot.​
Troubleshooting:
- If your phone is booting and reboot (infinite loop) and so can't be powered off, just click on Download button and plug it in; SPFT will detect it when it turn off. It won't turn on when SPFT initiates the flashing proccess.
- If you're stuck on bootlogo or bootanimation (bootloop). Just click on download button in SPFT, then plug in your phone. Now press the power button for 10s (or less) till SPFT detects it. Now release the button, flashing should start.
Notes:
- NEVER flash with "Preloader.bin" checked ! Unless your device is already HARD BRICKED! (Tip: If you still can boot to recovery, then your device isn't hard bricked. It's just soft bricked)
- You need MTK VCOM USB Drivers installed first! You can find plenty of tutorial on Google to do that

My phone(6042d) gets flashed successfully each time and also passes memory test but the phone wont turn on. it is detectable by sp flash tools so i guess its not hard bricked but wat might be the issue?plz help me...

Does this rom is stock or backup of any device.

It's Backup of my device.
Manufacturer didn't provide a stock rom because Alcatel guys are LAZY :laugh:

Reflash stock rom again. It's the only way to restore your IMEI. Or use MTK Droid Tools to restore your IMEI if you previously made a backup.

Since i know my imei's i tried to apply it using Chamelephon app from playstore and it fixed the imei problem.

I'm getting an error that says: "initializing scatter file failed. Please check the name of scatter file which you load is legal." Please help.

Hi ,I am stuck off in flashing my alcatel 6042d ,actually i have done all the steps you mentioned above but by doing these steps when i switched On my phone it doesn't have any access to network also my bluetooth is not working and i also checked my IMEI and it is showing that IMEI not found.

Guide : How to fix Software issues or Red light of death of Xperia C2305 / CS39H

So first off all what is red light of death It a hard brick state of Xperia C2305/CS39H and it is mostly caused when you are installing a cwm recovery and that won’t match the S1 boot version of your device. Also it is caused by software update not properly installed some errors or incorrect rom flashing not suitable for your device. So before starting to the repairing process read the notes.
Notes :
1. This is official way to recover the device so the warranty will not be voild.

2.. You can use this process for any Xperia device having software issues ,hard brick , soft brick or bootloops any errors can be fixed by this.
3. In this process your stock android will be reinstall and all your data will be wiped so before starting. Take a backup from dr fone brick data repair download link is attached below you can download it and I will soon make a tutorial how to use it.
4. It is a stock rom so if you have unlocked bootloader it will not work you have to use unofficial flash tool to flash the rom.
5. If you face any issues during installation replay me below. Also read everything before starting.
6. You can proceed to the fix
So here how to fix it !!
Required :
1. Bricked Xperia C2305 or CS39H (softbrick , hardbrick ,any software issue, bootloops)
2. Windows PC or Mac but this procedure is only for Windows PC
3. Good Usb cable or Original cable best
4. Charger 800 mah or more. best way use original charger
5. Xperia Companion installed ( download link below windows only)
6. Xperia C2305/ CS39H USB drivers installed( download link below)
7. Proper high speed internet ( 800 kbps or more best 2 mbhs)
8. Time aprox 4hrs or more up to your internet speed
NOTE : BEFORE STARTING THIS OPEN THE BACK COVER OF THE DEVICE AND TAKE SOMETHING POINTED AND PRESS THE RESET
BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE PC WITH GREEN LED SHOWING THIS WILL WIPE THE THIRD PARTY CWM OR ANY RECOVERY ON YOUR DEVICE. IF YOU DONT THE UNSUPPORTED RECOVERY WILL BLOCK THE INSTALLION PROCESS. ONCE DONE FOLLOW THE STEPS.
So here the steps :
STEP ONE : See wheater your device is charged 80 % or not it is necessary because when you are in download mode alot of battery is consumed . Battery will not charge directly because device is non stop getting in download mode while charging consuming all the battery what is charged so how to charge battery First see the above notification led is off or on it is beside the front facing camera if its is on then the device is on off it by holding power button for 15sec once led is off insert usb and charge it again the above red led will on again off it by holding power button for 15sec Note disconnect the charging usb from device before pressing power button. Repeat this for 1 or 2 hr. Once done go to next step.
STEP TWO : First install Xperia C2305 / CS39H USB driver and then download Xperia Companion on your PC and open it then hit software repair chose smartphone and the hit click here. Once done it will download the drivers. Once done go to step three.
STEP THREE : hold power button for 15 sec then leave power button and hold vol- and insert the usb abd connect to pc don’t leave it until Xperia Companion detect it and leave the vol- and press next i agree all then it will download the OS of your device. NOTE : KEEP IN MIND OS SIZE IS APROXIMATELY 700 MB SO DATA CHARGES MAY APPLY I AM NOT RESPONBLE IF YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR DATA PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK . Once done go to step four.
STEP FOUR: Disconnect the Usb and the start the device. First time will take 15 min or more to boot then select language and all the step up you are done.

What is the reason for sudden death ?
I never roooted or installed roms to my phone and it suddenly died ! No boot or recovery ! why ? Is there something wrong with sony's software ?My phone is xperia c2305 ... I took it to service center three times and after a few week from repairing it,it always dies again ? So if install a custom rom ,will the problem be gone ?I also want to know how to install the drivers ... I downloaded it but I don't know what to do with it.

This is because your mother board has some issues if you have ever hard ware damage this is not new thing. Installing custom rom is not different then using stock the custom rom for xperia c are just stock themed so better dont install but sometimes it might able to slove the issue try installing custom rom. And the thing how to install drivers on yout windows pc charge the battery as shown in my guide then connect the usb to pc the go to control panel you will see the device as unidentified device click on it then search for driver on internet it will surely fail to find the hit browse then select the un zip driver file and select the driver it will install it you are done hit thanks if it works best wishes.

There might be some problem with your Phone's hardware. If it's still under warranty, maybe the company can replace your device but at least they can try to repair it for free.

I did what the topic said but xperia companion gives me an error .. please heeeelp !!

I tried twice but the download reaches to 1/3 of the bar then gives me the same error .

-My pc ia an hp laptop and i tried to use xperia companion on my desktop pc but the same problem
-yup my device is c2305
-I couldn't install adb drivers as nothing appear in the device manager
- yup it starts to download the os after (initializing) and connecting my device
- i think its a soft break as it just gave me an error while booting (Encryption unsuccessful) So I booted into recovery and selected (WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET) , So I got into a bootloop , it just stuck on SONY logo .. So I am trying to repaire it to face that error (UEupdatefailed UE2005)

hi, im in this same situation but after reading the replies i discovered I'm installing drivers not the proper way, thanks in somewhere in page 2. will try my luck again later today, I'm using win 7 32bit if that matters. also is there any other way to charge my device internal battery? I'm suspecting it's battery is almost depleted. coz everytime i connect my phone to usb, it shows unknown device with a steady red light indicates it recognize the device in my pc. but disappears around 10secs maybe as soon the led light starts blinking. if i charge the device in doesnt show any charging animation or led it just turn on by itself on sony logo then reboot on endless loop when charging on a wall charger

How to enter EDL mode when G8 Plus died?

Hi,
Does anyone know how to enter EDL mode as the G8 Plus does not show signs of life? I tried to upload Android 10 but got a bootloop. When I got back to Pie the phone didn't get up anymore. When connected to a computer, it does not detect it in any way. It does not respond to the charger. I found in the service manual that you can enter EDL through the combination of the Volume up + Power buttons. I did not have the opportunity to try this method myself because I returned the phone to the service and tomorrow I will have an answer if something can be done. Is there a chance that such a corpse can be saved?

most probably you have hard bricked it.

Hi,
My phone came back from the service and the only thing they could offer was to replace the motherboard. But I did not agree because the cost is almost like a new phone. What is destroyed in such a fault? Could she be so damaged by flashing the wrong rom? I am still thinking about whether it can be saved. Entering EDL 9008 mode with buttons does not work. But maybe the short circuit of the points on the motherboard will work ??? I guess which points these are.

I'm almost home now. I was able to wake up this cattle by shorting the pins on the board. If the blankflash goes, I drink vodka until morning.

help i tried the tutorial fix using tweezers to short circuit the 2 pins then with my phone connected to pc i keep getting usb device not recognized and malfunctioned help iknow im so close to fixing my bricked g8 plus

i've a redmi 9 at as second smartphone, i was so bored about it bad percormances, and i try to flash orange fox recovery and flash for my first time, arrowOS and try to use it better.
but the recovery (also TWRP) stucked at logo, so i try a downgrade from 12.5.0 (last release with Android 11) to 12.0.4 (A10) and give me a c hance to see working the recovery and try to flash my arrow zip.
unluckily this was not possibile, cause i brick my redmi and all my attempt to solve were useless
any suggests?

I had the same problem, I just needed to hold the buttons for 1~2 seconds more when using the bypass tool.
If that doesn't work try another download agent

If you tried a lot of DA, it means it isn't the reason i guess. Did you tried holding the buttons for 1~2 more seconds when using the bypass tool?

Try another sp flash tool version... Idk... Btw I say it 3rd time cuz why not, hold for 1~2 seconds more when bypassing ( or 3 if it will work) just try and be sure you hold the right buttons

Done, already used 2 or 3 version of SPFT. I think combo buttons Is ok .
I will try in future with a lot of calm, now i want only hit the wall with this stupid redmi, i m so unsatisfied by MIUI and this octacore phone. A lot of lag everywhere. Similar entry level smartphones, are better performed.

So are you sure are you using the right rom? Like this forum is for redmi 9a and you say you have an redmi 9at. Yea they have same specs but who knows...

P.S. : Next time don't flash v12.0.4 cz this is why my phone didn't even showed the screen after first flashing with it....
P.S.2 : I see you are using a different bypassing tool from what I used, try using another one, and try to hold the buttons almost in the same time when you plug the cable in the phone.

And at Sp Flash Tool try to use firmware update option, maybe it will work, because it is a firmware update, isn't it?

Make sure you selected the right port in the Sp Flash Tool settings.

Used 3 or 4 different versions of sp flash tool.
Used a lot of DA, auth and different official rom
Changed a lot of time usb port, settings usb or UART inside sp flash tool. Changed combos about press buttons l, tried update firmware option instead download one,but all these attemps completely useless to solve my flashing rom issues.
My redmi is dead. No response when I push power button, neither when I try to enter in fastboot or recovery... No vibrations, no display light, I will try to reinstall all my drivers and try to do my better again.
Fortunately I've a redmi note as first smartphone, this 9AT is only for fun...

I now is only time and patience issue. But now, I'm bored by all these useless attempts without fortune. I will download the ROM linked and try again and again. Fortunately the redmi battery is almost full.

i used this rom and a SP from kurdish mod
i m flashing, crossed fingers
( In my case, works only uncheking bypass auth under mod versione of SP flashing tool.)
Ps: USB port must be checked as mediatek usb port
waiting until the end... to see a result.
