WTF?... Make some sense man? Have you dropped your Kaiser in water? whats with the butter?
He's either yanking our cord, or he doesnt speak english and ran his question through a translater.
Which in that case I would summize he dropped it in water and now his green button doesnt respond. wants to know how to open the case to dry it and wonders if it will work using a dryer.
Now of course if he translates our answer back into his own native language, he may just end up buttering it and putting it in the toaster.
Anyone want to give him a suggestion?
I know how reggin is.

So I Was Replacing My Invisible Shield And I Thought It Be Cool To Put A Hairdryer To The Screen... (That Way All The Humidity And Micro Bubbles Would Go Away) And When I Went To unlock The Phone.. It Lost Its Sesitivity... So I Turned It Off.... Tried Turning It On... And Smh.. It Shows "HTC" Then Goes From White To Black...And Has A Big ASS Screen Bleed Now.. Will Warrenty Cover THis?? Or Is Therte Away Around THis..........????
Helpppppppppppp!!
Check ebay for a new display kit.
what you mean exactly? Your display is broken or what? dont understand what you mead with your display has bleed on it
Prove with some photo please
Might need to replace the digitizer. Try finding out if its covered under the warranty. Don't tell them the truth, just tell them that you woke up after leaving it charged and that when you touch the phone it had restarted and that it was hot and that's what happens.

And we wonder why companies are getting harder and harder on folks who need to do legitimate exchanges. Be honest or just buy a digitizer. Dishonesty is what got this country where it is now!

Agreed. Warranties are for product defects....not owner gray matter defects
Could it be he needs to replace the lcd instead of the digitizer? He said the screen was bleeding.

So what is the moral of the story? HAIR DRYERS + LCD SCREENS = ARE YOU FLIPPING CRAZY! Enough said and don't lie to them...

Can't say I disagree with this but I recommend telling the truth... and that truth is:
1. He turned it on.
2. It doesn't work.
3. Warranty replacement please.
(Im Going To Post Some pics A Lil Later im @ Work) Well Today Is Day 2 And The Phone Shows An Image But Very Very Dim... Idk If I Messed Up The Sensor... Did I Mention I Put The Hair dryer On High?... Ive Just Seen How The Guys At the Mall That Put The Zagg Protectors they Use Hair Dryers And It Works Fine.. But Yea Its Kinda Dim... i Can Barely See, And For Those Who Have Sensation.. (Im Assuming Everyone.)...Theres 2 White Stickers behind The Phone (the Ones That If You Wet It, It Gets Red) Theres One At The Bottom Right Corner.. And I Think While I Was Putting The Screen Protector I Wet It... Cuz Its Red... Do u Think It'll Mess Up the Warrenty?
Seriously, why on EARTH did you put a hair dryer to your phone... No offence, but it's your own fault. This is why it's so hard to get legit replacements and why insurance costs a fortune.
This is why we can't have nice things!
I've changed many screens and digitisers, I'ts common ground to use a hairdryer to heat the screen to warm up the glue before you pull it apart! Honestly you must have been heating it for a good 10-15 minutes man,Next time do it in 1 min spurts.

Is there a reason why you have to capitalize every single word? It makes your posts hard to read.
Getting the stickers wet is very bad, honestly I think that your chances of getting it RMA'd are pretty slim. You can try replacing the screen if you're handy with that kind of stuff but a new lcd won't be cheap.

Yea if u leave the sticker red they wont replace it. And there are ways to change it back to white, I'm not going to tell u how but if u want to know look it up, reason I'm not telling is cuz how do I no u didn't drop it in water. And about the screen y n the hell would u have it on high? U do no that hairdriers get hot right, and heat can F**k things up right. O n next time heat the screen protector up first (and not while on the phone) then apply it to the screen, and rub the air bubbles out.

Wow epic fail bro
you could try telling the service center that it worked fine for a week but then the screen started bleeding.

What If i Pull the Sticker off..? Its Only Like A Dot Big
Hi!!
I drowned my N5 last week and managed to revive it after 4 days in rice + hair dryer + oven and it worked perfectly fine for 2, 3 days and I reflashed it 15 times in between for testing my rom.. and yeterday I went to recovery and it couldn't boot recovery..
Bootloader works fine and from there I can't go anywhere, it always bootloops on Google letters... also it powers ON whenever I plug in charging cable or if it's connected and I select Power Off in bootloader, it always boots up to google letters until I unplug it..
So I went and flashed factory images with the flash_all.sh script that came with the package and there was absolutly NO errors while flashing, it flashed perfectly fine, bootloader, recovery, radio, system etc...
But the problem remains..
Any ideas are welcome before I drain it completely
I'm suspecting on battery or charging controller
There still could be some moisture inside that moved due to a movement of the phone.
I´d suggest putting it in rice once again or even opening it and then putting it in rice. I mean your warranty is gone anyways
But maybe there is someone with better advice, luckily I never had such a problem.
Rice was a really good idea. Hairdryer and oven were really bad ideas. So much so that you've undone some of the good you did with the rice.
I wouldn't hold out much hope if I were you.

You know that heat turns water into steam? Puts it in the air and spreads it around? Making even the dry parts of the phone wet?
If you want to ruin your device further, this is easily the best way to do it
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Yes don´t put it in the oven.
And don´t use a hairdryer, chance are that you are pressing the water even further in small gaps.
Sounds like it's done for. Since you already not gonna be covered by warranty because of the water damage. I'd do what another poster suggessted and take it apart then soak it in rice in an airtight container for at least another 48 hours. I doubt it'll help since the phone already been booted but it's worth a shot. As far as the oven thing goes good luck. lol If you look online you will find some that have succesfully used an oven to reflow a logig board but they are in the tiniest of minorities I assure you.
it's already in rice..
water turns into vapor and that way easier exits the device also
hairdryer would push the water further, but also evaporate it. all this is a 2 blade sword
I'm getting a new one tomorrow or in 2 days, but still wanted to get this one working. will leave it in rice for a couple of days more

Yes. Which is a BAD thing. Evaporated water doesn't disappear! It is in the air and every surface it hits becomes wet.

Take your phone to the Caribean for a week and let it dry there
I admire the physics and chemistry going on in this thread
Taking it apart and then drying it in the rice might work,if it doesnt then you probably have a problem in the firmware, try going back to stock if its possible

Whats that got to do with anything?
Ok here is a test for you....
In your non-hermetically sealed kitchen, boil the kettle. When you see the steam coming out of the spout, put your hand over the steam, about an inch above the spout*
If you're right, the steam will change direction and travel around your hand magically.
If I'm right, once your hand has recovered from the scalding, you'll notice your hand is wet.
*DONT put your hand above the spout of a boiling kettle. I AM right. You WILL hurt yourself. Your hand will be wet in the same way the components in your phone would become wet if you put steam inside it

Warranty is gone when the moisture indicators are colored anyway, so stock or not doesn`t matter in this case.

I get that, I'm not 10y old, but I still think that IF there is little moisture left, while it evaporates I don't think it can make more damage and turn into a wet sword

Unfortunately you'd be wrong there. Steam hits every surface it passes on the way out. Water is very corrosive. Even if there is only 1 water droplet in your phone, that becomes a lot of steam and damages everything it touches.
There's one fix and one fix only and its not heat
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
ok, won't be heating it ever again

I'm surprised nobody mentioned disconnecting the battery and soaking the phone in 99% isopropyl alcohol. That's the most effective way to save a drowned phone.
Even at this point, opening it up and soaking it in alcohol and scrubbing the internals with a soft bristled tooth brush can help get rid of some of the corrosion that might have occurred from the water. If you want to salvage it, this is the way to go. Just stop trying to power it on before you do this, it is likely you are causing more damage.
