Pocophone F1
as we all know this device has become a viral and hot topic in the smartphone industry, why? because it comes with a crazy specification at a very reasonable price, but most Pocophone users complain about the problem of this phone, so without wasting time, let's look at the list of problems often faced by Pocophone users and how to handle it.
NOTE : This is not 100% solution, maybe some tricks, suggestion, mods will solved your problem , Atleast we can solve the problems to improve user experience.
1) Screen Bleeding Issue.
This issue I think the most popular one , Screen bleeding issue , keep in mind in order to cut the cost, Poco F1 using IPS LCD Display, screen bleeding issue is present in almost LCD equipped phones , a very small has bleed which is apparent during regular use, So this problems is NORMAL for devices that use IPS LCD display type , But this happen just for some users, If you dont like it, try to use your warranty to change a new unit.
2) Touchscreen Lag
The big problems for gamers , touchscreen lag, many users say it was a software problems , in order to solve this, please make sure your software is up to date and recommended to use Stable version to avoid any much problem. For me I personally also play a games. I play Free Fire but the touch was working great and its running smoothly. I dont play PUBG so i dont know how unresponsive it is.
3) PUBG Notch
For now , PUBG team only fix the notch only for India, But soon they will fix it for all users, For now, in order to hide the notch , we can manually hide it from Settings / Full Screen Display / Hide Notch.
4) Ugly Big Notch
In order to solve this, u need to know why the notch is too big, this is because Poco developers put all the things inside the notch such as Infrared Lens, Infrared Lightning, Proximity Sensor, Earpiece, and 20MP front camera. So this is why its too big, but for me , Its not a big deal because i knew that notch was helped me out to unlock my face even in the dark and helps me a lot.

}
5) Battery Percentage Issue
Pffftt.. Just use Miui 10 and it solved. Or use theme.
6) Notifications Icon just for a few seconds
Every users have their own way they like, some just like the clock , some just OK with 2 seconds notifications icons and some want BOTH at the same time. Okay so dont worry , Xioami is a developer friendly, Unlock bootloader and root your device doesnt void your warranty, so in this case we gonna do some modifications on system. If you want both (notifications icons & clock) at the same time, you can use the MOD below. Click the link and just follow the instruction.
http://en.miui.com/thread-4337763-1-1.html
7) Battery draining Issue
Try to turn off Wifi and Bluetooth scanning in settings. Just go to settings and search "scanning" or if you have twrp installed, try to use Sphinx Kernel.
8) Not really quickcharge.
I dont know why people saying this but for me its works fast enough ! If this is not fast enough for you, I recommended using Sphinx Custom Kernel. It can up your fast charge to 900mah ! Everything about Sphinx Kernel just click the link below
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/kernel-sphinx-kernel-v1-7-t3861911
thanks for the developers .
9) Average Camera.
This is the hardware issue. From the poco slogan "Master Of Speed" and not "Master Of Photography" we can know that Pocophone is focusing on your perfomance not your camera. Want better camera ? "Pay more and get more"
10) Poor Build Quality
In order to cut the cost , Build quality in Poco is not at good enough, But hey , use the CASE. your problems solved !
Anything common problems found in Pocophone ? Reply here , instead of asking our developers how many days they need to fix, we try to fix that maybe for temporary used while waiting for updates from Poco Developers. Please state your problems in the comments section, maybe we can fix that together.

"..Poco F1 using IPS LCD Display, screen bleeding issue is present in almost LCD equipped phones ...."
Hmmm... I disagree. I have a Honor 8 which has a perfect LCD screen. No bleeding at all. It cost even less and it even has an IR-blaster. So it IS possible to have a great screen at an affordable pricetag. Especially when everything else is cheaper. The Honor 8 has a camera with both laser-af and PDAF, it has a multi-color notification LED etc...
So using its price as a excuse to justify its flaws (or even broken parts) doesn't sit well.

ermmm its already been discussed , its due to the placement of the backlight at the bottom of lcd , look at honor 8 the chin below is so big , ample space.

I willing to buy this tablet but i have some questions:
1- How is the battery life?
2- Is the screen to small for reading, movies and games ?
3- How is the resolution and clarity of text?
4- any common problem that faced veteran users
Please answer quickly because i am going to buy this tablet tomorrow
I greatly like this tablet though it is my first tablet.
1. Very good and even better when you tweak certain things in for your general use.
2. Movies are fine, reading is fine and I use it often, games are great also comparability is on the low side of things though.
3.Resolution is fine. It has a dpi of 160 and that's nothing to sneeze at.
4. Common problem are SOD's and the lack of source code for the tablet. (SOD is the sleep of death which is when you turn off the screen and it freezes) those are the two things that stand out to me.

1. slightly above average (of 7" tablets)
2. personally, I think its a perfect size.
3. it's "okay." Not great, but not the worst I've seen.
4. quite a few people have experienced problems called "sleep of death" - which basically means the tablet appears dead with the screen off... the only way to recover is press/hold the power button until the tablet reboots. A handful have had issues with corrupted flash memory that rendered the tablet useless. There have also been reports of wifi issues.
Gary
Thank you guys, that was really helpful
no, its just not snappy, the resolution and display quality is poor, battery life (and more importantly: battery life management) is poor.
unfortunately, apple hasnt produced a 7" ipad... cuz that would be a better choice
i have GN as my phone, so i support the android platform. its just that this tablet isnt very fun to use. ICS may change that... buts its a longing hope that'll wont get raelied
Wow, that isn't even remotely close to the truth. Do you even own one? The Tab Plus is easily the fastest and the nicest built seven incher on the market.

It's more responsive without Touchwiz, though. But it's still faster than the original 10.1, which was rather sluggish on the TW launcher.

now what possible incentive do i have for not expressing the truth?
it may be the best 7" tablet on the market, but that only speaks to the dearth of good tablets in that space. it does not make the 7GT+ a good tablet per se.

and whats with the default browser trying to dim the screen compared to the rest of the environment? utter bunk.
and the fact that certain apps are not available on 3.x. i have nice magazine readers and browsers on my phone... but want to use it on the tab? no go
I love my tablet, though I only slightly somewhat regret not waiting for the 7.7. Basically the same tablet with a Verizon connection that I'd never use, but with a lot nicer screen. However, I was able to get my 7+ for $270 of eBay, and the 7.7 I probably would have to pay full retail at almost $400 more. I like having cutting edge products that I hold onto forever, but I'm not sure the nicer screen is with that kind of premium in price.

Love it, expect ICS to make it even better, and I have no "death sleep" issues, but then I have a refurbished one so maybe they fixed it.
For $275 only thing I know even close is the slower Best Buy version for $250.

1 - I've not had an issue with battery life, using it all day at work then reading before bed. I charge it at night, and I also prefer a very low screen brightness.
2 - I've read 4 novels in the 6 weeks I've owned it. It's maybe a tad small for comics but works OK. I don't have much opportunity to watch movies on it. I do like to use it as a 2nd/3rd screen to run youtube video, video podcasts, or a TV episode while doing something else on my computer.
3 - Text clarity is fine. I use Aldiko for reading and have the font set to Molengo set at 16 it looks great and is very comfortable for me to read.
4 - Not sure what is meant, I'm a veteran technology user and this is my first Android device. With that in mind the biggest issue I have with the device is that after an extended web browsing session it will heat up on the upper left side of the tablet. Also the tablet is picky about power, you will have to use the factory adapter or go out of your way to find a workaround to charge the device.
Overall I'm very satisfied. I think I would also have been satisfied with the 2 version vs the plus. I really love the form factor, the sd slot is handy, and it has good overall performance.
hello together,
i receveid my mi4c yesterday and noticed that the display has the above said issues, i think most of you should know what i mean, i come from a moto G (2015) and never had these problems on it...
both are IPS LCD, scrolling text is horrible on the xioami.. looks like the display has very high reaction and transition times...
so do i have a faulty unit or is this standard on this phone?
EDIT:
i made the perfect test : www.testufo.com/#test=chase&background=404040&leading=FFFFFF&trail ing=00FFFF&distance=38&pps=600&height=180
i adjusted it so the trail of the white box touches the blue box wich is 38 distance in my case (moto g has 25)
if you have the same result on your phone than i know my phone is not faulty
i think it should be moved in q/a. you have a faulty unit, contact your seller as soon as possible !

Did you do it at full brightness?
My white box hits the blue box at about 38 also, running CM12.1 and using chrome. I've never noticed this before and don't really see it when scrolling text.
Not ruling out faulty units but everyone is going to say theirs is different because everyone's eyes are different. Similar argument on computer monitors with TN/IPS and refresh rates etc some people cant stand the ghosting and others say they cannot see it.
EDIT*
just thought I'd add I have run the authenticator app when I was on miui and all came back ok.
Weird how there seem to be different results.. Am I mistaken or did I read that different models might have different LCD panels? Like one was Sharp.. Would there be any way to find this out?
38 here too.
Good job tho. You should post this test to the MIUI Forum. Probably in the mi4c section.

The refresh rate of the screen is 60Hz (although sometimes it scales dynamically in order to save power) so it can display 60 frames per second with vsync which are a lot for a human eye to process without blurring. So I think that the blurring happens because of our eyes not the screen, therefore this test is not valid.
Doesn't touch even at 20:

A screenshot won't show it, when it's running you are looking for the faint white ghosting behind the white box to touch the blue box.

Edit: what i mean is an analog camera would take the picture like you see it with your eyes, you would See 1 square with a trail, not 3-4 shifted squares
Hello everyone
I found myself in this situation, so, I can now purchase global NEX S locally in one of the retailers for roughly $600, brand new, but I have some doubts about the purchase since phone is more than 6 month old, still no Pie for it and basically zero 3rd party development due to lack of source from Vivo.
I really, REALLY like the design though. Notch is a deal-breaker for me and I'm a huge fan of that full screen and in-display fingerprint reader.
I own Galaxy S8 currently and must say, S10 looks same to me. Also, hole in the display is equivalent of notch imo, so, that's a no-no.
All that said, I have few questions.
1. Does this phone (global version) have notification light (notification LED)?
2. How's the ardio coming from 3.5mm jack?
3. What do you love / hate about the phone?
4. Would you recommend it to your friend?
5. Feel free to add your own opinions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Love everything except funtouch launcher but i replace by nova launcher...no notification led but just install NO LED and work very very well....battery with full usage stai easy 2 day....screen is very amazing color...no notch..no waterdrop screen , fulll screen...s10+ with 2 hole in screen (very ugly)
dont hesitate
only thing is functouch...you need take 1-2 hrs to knoww all about functouch
S10 design really disappointed me but I'm sure many people will buy it.
Still, thanks for your reply, there's still no root access available for the NEX, right? What a gorgeous phone anyway

I have had my Nex S for around 1 week now and here are my views & opinions to help you along the way.
1) Display is Fantastic (ok it's not QHD) but really that does not matter it vibriant and clear and most of all it's ALL Display and that I very much appreciate.
2)Battery life (although Funtouch doesn't show SOT, yes I or you could use GSM or similar, but all I can say is that I play alot of PubG and browse and use message and like now, took off charge at 8am it's now 11pm and I have 28% left, it's well fantastic.
3)I have the international version and it's great no Chinese bs, and notifications come through just fine, if you install Nova or Pixel launcher your all golden.
4)Don't listen to reviews the UD scanner works well and I'd say 98% success rate for me or very close to, opens as fast as I need it to.
5)Camera's are nice to, ok perhaps not pixel, but I like the quality you get from them.
6)Design is nice to and comes with a nice case (not a cheap feeling one) it's quite decent.
Overall yeah I would recommend the Nex S, no there isn't root but I don't actually mind, I have other phones that I can mess around with...
Hope this helps, it's a very nice device ......:good:
No root but with ADB its very easy to remove all bloatware...but with 8gb ram...no need more ram

I agree with all the previous comments. I highly recommend this phone. It's phenomenal in terms of performance, looks and superb battery life. Just change the launcher.
Huge thanks to all of you, will post uptades and my impressions if I get it
I'm thinking to get one nex s....
Totally agge with above posts by other users I'm having the Chinese version 6 months now and most of the case totally satisfied.
The only thing missing from the device is 3 things.
1.No unlimited app notification on AOD(very bad Vivo policy-most OEM offer that choice with AOD)
2.You can not customize off screen gesture like for example Oxygen offer with Oneplus and use whatever app want.
3.Not having unlimited accent color customization and not having dark/black themes out of box like Oxygen offer.
With nova launcher +sesame shortcut app+ HD widget you could get SOT detail info.
Just like my few minutes ego results after 2.5 days.

Does it feel smooth? I'm currently deciding if I should buy this phone or the Mate 20 lite (I'm buying with Tre at the same price), I really like the screen and the camera but the SoC is slower on the A7. As long as it is a smooth UI I'll buy this one, since I'm not that interested in graphics demanding games and CPU intensive apps, I just need it to be usable without lags and random freezes.

Don't buy the Mate 20, i bought one before getting the A7, the screen in the Mate 20 is really bad, has one of the grey "ish" blacks I've seen on any recent phones, my unit also had a problem with hot pixels that were only noticeable on black colors in very dark environments

Is it really that bad? I mean, it's an LCD, obviously OLED screens are better, but I was told and I found online that it's a fairly good LCD for a mid-range phone. Also, I don't really mind the screen, I just need a smooth system, and from experience I know Samsung ones can be quite heavy. On the other hand, after two years and a half of EMUI I'd like something that looks newer, and Huawei has recently stopped providing bootloader codes for free. That said, I'll still keep EMUI if it means that it's smoother.

Is it really that bad? I mean, it's an LCD, obviously OLED screens are better, but I was told and I found online that it's a fairly good LCD for a mid-range phone. The Mate 20 has a faster chipset, if your priority is power then i guess that's your best option, having said that, the A7 is a very smooth device, i have not found any stutter or any apps that struggles to handle, i think the experience is very good
i primarily use my phone for media consumption and was very disappointed with the screen and audio quality of the Mate 20, the volume with headphones is below average in volume
this is the way i see it:
Mate 20
pros
faster chipset
feels very premium in hand
cons
screen not as good as the A7
sound volume and quality are below average
has a notch
A7
pros
fantastic screen without a notch
very good audio quality (has dolby atmos)
better camera than the mate 20
is widevine L3 certified so you can watch netflix at full hd
you get always on display
cons
the device is very light in a cheap kind of way,
front camera doesn't have autofocus
the side bezels are a bit bigger than we are used to in 2019, i'll take that over a notch
doesn't have usb type-c
i hope that helps with your decision

Well, thank you very much, I was lucky to find someone who has used both phones.
Also, sorry for the OT!

Don't buy the Mate 20, i bought one before getting the A7, the screen in the Mate 20 is really bad, has one of the grey "ish" blacks I've seen on any recent phones, my unit also had a problem with hot pixels that were only noticeable on black colors in very dark environments

well, the xiaomi mi A2 is almost half the price of the A7, only $ 180, i don't think is a fair comparison, the A7 is better in every single way but that's to be expected from a device twice the price
if money is not a problem i would go for the A7, if you are on a budget and want to save some money then i guess the xiaomi is a good option, i've never had a xiaomi device so i can't really tell you what to expect

Thanks a lot, a check with Smart Switch revealed that there is an update for the Netherlands as well. I guess for a lot of other European countries tool. Rooted phones will not receive the update OTA, you must manually download it. For that you can use Sammobile.com which is excruciatingly slow however. If it works, use SmartSwitch instead. It is ree, quicker, less of a hassle and you can be sure you get the right version for your phone.

Youre getting a way better camera, super amoled, one ui with a7. One ui is the best skin right now.
Mi a2 has sd660 which is slightly better in gaming and youre getting android one. Better updates.
For me, id go with a7 because of one ui and the camera. Go with mi a2 if you feel like gaming but battery is terrible
Hey guys, I hope you are having a good day!
So I'm planning to buy my first Pixel phone. Super excited. I'm a big sucker for Pixel phones' cameras and their Pixel-exclusive features. So far I've been using a low-tier Samsung phone so I want to take this big step with the correct phone.
I'm expecting and would be using the new phone to take a lot of photos, from close-ups of flowers and bugs to portraits to pictures of landscapes. AND I LOVE IT WHEN I CAN ZOOM AND SEE THE DETAILS. I don't game much, except for some casual CODM now and then. A faulty fingerprint reader won't really bother me. The lack of an audio jack isn't an issue. I'll be using only 4G. As for battery life, it's around 6 hours on average.
Something I'm really concerned about is the overheating issue. I live in a tropical country, where outside temps can easily get 30 Celsius, though I won't be using it in direct sunlight much. A big turnoff would be issues with the Silicon, where the bugs/problems would be uncorrectable since I wouldn't be able to easily RMA from where I live. I don't need the telephoto lens or the 120Hz screen. So I don't think the 6 pro is an option.
So, what do you think? Which one should I go for, and why?
I'm getting the 6a. I tried the the Pixel 6 but had to return it because the fingerprint sensor was horrible and other minor negatives with the Pixel 6.
It sounds like you don't really need a powerful phone, so I think the 6a would be perfect for you. I don't recall if the Pixel 6 heated up on me personally or not, but from reviews, people did say that Pixel 6 heated up and the 6a warmed up to a lesser degree. Like you, I also don't need telephoto lens or 120Hz.
I don't take much macro shots, but you can take a look at pictures that people have taken with the 6a and see if it's acceptable to you. Me personally... I just need good pictures from my phone. If I want better shots, I would bring my Sony RX100 or other cameras. From the reviews I watched of the 6a, the photos are great but they're not spectacular bc of the older sensors on the 6a. That doesn't bother me, but it might be a dealbreaker for you. That's because with a bit of photo editing, I can make the photos shine. The Pixel 6a also shoots in RAW format, so you could always edit your photos afterwards to compensate for any deficiencies.

you do know that the 6as fingerprint sensor is way worse and really unsecure?
also it has ui lag, but i think that will be fixed soon...

I should receive my 6a within the next 2 days, so I'll have to test it out and see if there are any dealbreakers for me. Worse case, I can always return it.
Yeah, I saw reports of the fingerprint sensor issue that came out in the last 24 hours. Hopefully the fingerprint issue is not widespread. I watched another youtube reviewer where he couldn't replicate the fingerprint issue. He tried, I think, 6 unregistered fingers and also had his wife try a few fingers, but wasn't able to unlock the phone.
With the ui lag issue, I'll have to test it out and see. If it's due to the screen being 60Hz and not something else, then I'm ok with the 60Hz. I currently have the Pixel 4XL and I force it to 60Hz. Also, I always turn off most of the android animations anyway (from developer options), which I find makes the ui feel faster.
I own both (my wife just got the P6a). I would absolutely recommend the P6 over the P6a - even to the point of suggesting buying a used P6 over a new P6a if cost is a concern. Used P6 pricing is about the same as the full retail P6a price right now.
I got the P6a only because of the generous pre-order trade in values Google was giving, along with the free earbuds that brought the effective price of the P6a down to less than $100. If I had to pay full retail price for the P6a, I would absolutely have bought a used P6 instead.
Best battery life I've had on a phone. It has very good standby time like the Samsung A52s. The battery was already great from the first charge, which was unusual. I don't know how much worse it would be on 4G though. I assume 5G will eat the battery, so I disabled that already, like on all my phones. Pixel 6a really pits a smile on my face. The fingerprint works 98% of the time. I can almost say it works better than my Samsung S22. But it doesn't work when it is cold outside, at less than 7°C anyway.
Camera is great and screen is very nice and smooth. I think it is only in scrolling that 120Hz has advantage over it. However, I use 60Hz on my S22 anyway, so I don't care.
