Overnight Charging [Redmi 4 not Booting ] - General Questions and Answers

I don't know what happened to my phone (Redmi 4), I kept it overnight for charge and when I woke up to check my phone , it wasn't turning on at all.
(I kept it switched off at night while it was charging). It wasn't the first time I charged my phone overnight.
Tried Trickle Charging ,it's sill not booting . Although now I am able to boot into fastboot mode.
Is there any chance it might have been bricked ?
Any solution or would I have to pay service station a visit ?
Also whenever I press and hold power button it flashes mi logo for less than a second and switches off , also the led which used to get on during charge isn't getting on.

Moto G doesn't charge or power up

I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed so many times, but I couldn't find symptoms like the ones my Moto G has.
Two weeks ago, my Moto G reached out to 0% and shuted down. After that I've tried the following possible fixes:
Leave the phone out a day off the charger and then charging it for 3-4 hours or even all night long.
Pressing the power button for several minutes while connected to the wall charger.
Connecting it to several chargers (750, 1500 and 2000 mah).
Taking out the battery cover, disconnecting the battery flex and then reconnecting it.
A few things I noticed were that my phone came with a 450 mah charger in the box, and when I connect the phone, the LED light lits continuosly and it never goes off.
When I tried with 1500 and 2000 mah chargers, the LED lits too, and while pressing the power button, the LED light flashes one time after 2-3 minutes, and then flashes again after 5-6 minutes. But these flashes are very glimmer. And no matter what I do, the screen never lights up, and the LED light never goes off.
Please, I desperately need your help. I bought this phone two months ago and I've unlocked the bootloader, so I don't think warranty will cover the phone.
Thank you very much.
if you press power + vol down does the phone goes to recovery? i figured out that even if the phone does not boot you can go to recovery (or is it bootloader?) and than go to barcodes and press vol up. some codes will show up. after a min or so it will turn off. repeat this until the phone wont even boot to recovery. now plug it in the charger and hold power button for 2-3min and than leave it charging for an hour and than try to power it up. if it will not work try to unplug it and plug it in again after a minute and than hold the power button again for 2-3min and leave it charging for an hour again. i got my moto g booted after few tryes.
it seems that moto g wont charge until the battery is completely drained.
I'm sorry but the phone won't boot into bootloader mode neither. Are there any other recommendations? Thanks for your reply.
EDIT: I'll see if I can record a video of the phone's behavior. Maybe it could help.

Answer.....I have exact similar problem for last one week and i figured it out how to recover..u have to leave the phone for 24 hours to discharge and then open the battery...See youtube tutorial how to open it....
then go to any local mobile repairing shop and ask him to charge or boost your battery..they have some kind of boost machine..ask them to do it for 10 min the put on the battery and hold the power button led will blink 3 times put the phone in charge i guarantee you u ll get ur moto g back....i have also sucessfully removed the outer glass from digitizer,,...but that another story...hope i helped you...
I recently ran into this... I let my XT1032 battery deplete to 0% and then had a difficult time getting it to recharge.
When the phone was plugged in to any of these:
- my desktop PC
- powered USB hub
- game console USB port
it powered on briefly and showed the white screen with 0% battery indicator. The screen would then go blank and then after a few minutes the phone would boot successfully to my lock screen. However, it seemed to stop taking charge at this point and after a few minutes would shut itself down again. And the cycle would repeat.
I was able to get it to boot to the bootloader through normal means (Vol. Down + Power). But it behaved similarly in that it seemed to stop taking a charge and so after a few minutes it would power down as the battery ran out. And the cycle would repeat.
What finally worked for me was to use a different charger (and cable). I ended up using the charger that came with my tablet (Nexus 7) and the phone charged up the battery without issue -- I'm not sure whether the charging cable made a difference.
There's some discussion here:
http://androidforums.com/threads/moto-g-died-and-now-wont-charge.837568/
that suggests that when the phone hits 0% battery, it becomes fussy about the charger and that a high charging current is required or else the charging circuit shuts down.
My experience would support that theory. Seems a rather dumb design on Motorola's part...
Lesson here is to not let your device run down to 0%!

wall charger not working

I have a Moto G bricked on moto logo and i tried to charge my phone on a wall charger and laptop
Charging my phone( turned off ) on wall charger = white screen appears showing 0% and it never changes
Charging my phone( turned off ) on a laptop = white screen appears showing 0% and 10 min later it turns on automatically and stucks on moto logo( cause my phone is bricked)
Charging my phone( on fastboot mode ) on wall charger = it shows ''Battery Low'' only, not charging
Charging my phone( on fastboot mode ) on a laptop = it shows ''Battery Low ( Charging )'', but 0% forever and surely it will never change
I've already tried using my official charger and universal USB
Even Worse!!!!!!!

Try to leave the phone in charge (using pc) for at least 2-3 hours, then check again. If still doesn't work you could try to open the phone to unplug the battery, putting it to the fridge for 15 min, then plug it again and try to charge (use this thread)

And the battery is still low?
Hi, having the same problem as the original poster.
Right now I'm trying to charge the phone from fastboot, connected to a PC ( wall charger does nothing exactly like op's case).
I'll wait a couple of hours and try to boot it again, hopefully it will have enough charge then?
I've noticed that ''Battery Low ( Charging )'' will change to ''Battery OK ( Charging )'' if I select the "Barcodes" menu voice and then go back to fastboot from that section by pressing volume up/down, not sure if that helps anything...
My phone is fully original software, no mods at all. It started doing this when I was recording a video, the phone suddenly crashed and started going in boot loop berserker mode.

Does your pc detect anything when you plug usb cable ?
Yes, it detects, but then disconnects, can it be a problem in the battery?
Chances are you have received a refurbished device or defective battery.
Try and find another Mi4 user for trial of the battery or let's see you need to contact the vendor soon.

Charge via wall adapter. Leave it for some time.
PS: When your battery reaches 9-10%, it is advisable to charge it back to 100%.

I just got this issue 10min ago. Havn't depleted the battery on the phone for a very long time, my guess is that it hasn't calibrated the battery in a while or something like that. Will keep it in the fast charger during the night and then i'll reply here.
EDIT: Normally the red LED is constantly on when the battery is low and it's in the charger, now it's flashing which makes it look a bit more scary.
EDIT2: Works fine now after a night of charging
Charger could be not pushing enough voltage to charge battery. Try another one to see if it remedies the issue.
I do have the same problem with my Mi4. I wanted to start the update in the Updater app (to Android 6 version of Xiaomi.eu) and suddenly it turned off (at 100% battery). When I connect my phone with my computer it is recognized and all the partitions are mounted. And with all I mean all. There are about 7 partitions mounted (Linux and Windows) and they keep being mounted until I disconnect the phone. I let my Mi4 on the wall charger for 24 hours (2A Samsung one which charges all my other devices without any problems) but I still have the blinking red light after connecting it to the charger. Any other things I can do to get it running again?
EDIT: I can't see the phone in fastboot or adb and when I keep the power button pressed for about 10s it seems to disconnect and instantly reconnect the phone.

I solved this problem on my own. Even though the phone doesn't show up on the fastboot devices list you can use the Mi Flash Tool to flash the fastboot update (http://xiaomiadvices.com/miui-7-flash-fastboot-rom-on-xiaomi-phones-using-mi-flash-tool/). The drivers installed with the Mi Flash Tool for the Windows 10 Mobile Release (http://en.miui.com/thread-189369-1-1.html) recognize all the partitions as one device and show it with a cryptical name in the flash list.
Hi ! I fully charged the phone and after it shuted down. It doesn't starts. PC doesn't see it. When I'm plugin the wire just half way into the phone the red light stays on for a few seconds and than nothing at all. Can anyone help me?
Push power+vol up for quite enough lets say 20 sec
same problem here i kept charging for whole night but phone not getting on.. only red LED comes when kept for charging and not detected in PC also. Can any 1 help on this
I had the same problem ( strangely,it occured after a whole night charging, f... knows what happened)
Tried to change charger. No luck. The phone won't even boot by pushing Vol down+ Power
Solution: I simply connected the phone to a portable external charger, and tadaaaa !!! it was brought back to life !
Hope this helps

OnePlus One Charging and USB Issue

Hey guys, so I have a small problem. I used a Mi Bank (5200mAh) power bank to charge my OPO yesterday. It worked the day before. When I plugged it in yesterday, it charged for like 5 seconds and then wouldn't charge. So I tried a variety of other cables and chargers but none of them worked.
I turned the phone off and plugged it to charge, the charging battery icon would appear, disappear and then the phone would reboot to the charging screen and the cycle continued.
I then let the battery die and did a few power cycles and plugged the phone to charge while it was off. It started to charge and then fully charged. I used the phone till today and wanted to plug it in again. I charged it for around 20 minutes and it worked.
Now, I'm facing the same issue as yesterday.
Phone won't charge
Does not get detected in MTP or ADB mode, but DOES get detected in Fastboot mode.
Ampere shows the voltage as 3.7v, I recall the voltage being around 3.9-4.1v)
OTG also works. I connected a flash drive and it detected the source and I even watched a movie.
When I boot into recovery (TWRP 3.0.2.0) with the battery dead, and connected to the charger, the phone stays ON. I did a full Nandroid backup and a wipe and flashed another ROM as well and the phone stayed on, but as soon as the phone rebooted into the ROM and got to the boot animation, the phone shut down saying "battery low"
Not sure if it was a placebo effect or not, so I wrapped the phone in a dry towel and left it under my pillow for like 30 minutes and then plugged it to charge. It began to charge and after a full charge, I could use the phone without an issue so I proceeded to backup my data to the PC just in case I needed to perform a full wipe. About halfway through the copy process, the indicator light went off and the copy process got cancelled and the phone wouldn't show up in the PC again.
My question is, What is the culprit here?
Do I have to replace the entire motherboard?
Is it just a battery issue?
Is it a USB connector issue?
Any help with regard to this would be much appreciated

mi mix 2s sudden death, need help troubleshooting

Phone was working fine, charged before sleep, left turned on in idle.
Woke up to find it stuck on MIUI boot logo, must have rebooted itself sometime during night and stuck in a reboot loop (or stuck on logo without looping)
Pressed power button and screen went black.
Wont turn back on either by plugging in charger or pressing power button.
It charges though as I measured the current, it would have been at around 70% (so drained 30% during whatever happened in the night) as took another 1000mah before charging stopped.
Never had any issue before besides an incident a few weeks ago where I swore the phone was on but it was actually off and pressing power button wouldn't turn it on. Plugged it in and after a few mintues started up as normal (with charge still present) No other issue ever experienced like random shutdowns or reboots.
