Thanks.
I am a little bit confused.
if (stable == final release)
what is STABLE mean? as I know during software development(maybe not for Nokia), after several Beta versions, there may be RC1, RC2 ... (Release Candidate), and the final release.
or there will be a final release later?
I want to know because my phone is a Chinese version, and I update it to PIE Beta, and I got Pie update, if the version I got is an official release, that is to say this is a way to convert it to a global one without unlocking bootloader.

Yes, 00WW_3_22C is what you refer to as final release, and it's come after the different Developer Preview (Beta) versions (DP1, DP2, etc.).
(Although it is not "final" as in "definitive", because more updates will follow until Android Q is out. But it is the "stable" version you're looking for).
If you want to keep it converted to global, make sure you follow this thread so that you don't have trouble with OTA updates, network and SKUID. I'm not following the process personally but I believe you'll eventually need to root your phone.

Pretty basic question here

I appreciate that. It shows the update 21r but doesn't show what the update is about. I believe this is the last update I'll need for a while so I should be able to root at this point and post up for a while.
Yes id wait for marshmallow to be out for a while to to see bugs and such before updating to it too i run kk until about 2 months ago just because of all the bugs

Will we see Oreo Beta to C567 US region anytime soon?
Just want to have the latest security updates.
Just like any other devices (Except for Nexus/Pixel devices) its always a waiting game. I'm sure We'll see Oreo within the next 6 months. But no one knows a timeline.
We don't even have 5.1 yet

There is a Beat Build for the C567, Build B302 with EMUI 5.1. (September Security Patch) I am running it currently. It has some quirks as any beta does, but over all its nice. I feel as though the stable build should be out shortly after the Mate 10 launches.
Here is the link to my post on A/C with my review/experience with it.

how did you install it?

BETA 3 to official pie?can it be done?

Hey . I'm seen different answers about this topic everyone over on the OnePlus forums but said I'd ask here because you guys know what your talking about ?
I'm on stock oxygen is beta 3 and now that the official pie is out I want to upgrade to that but what I'm seen online says I can't direct dirty flash it
Some say I've to downgrade to beta2 because the newest official release is actually older than beta 3
So has anyone dirty flash it on top of beta 3 or what do you know on this topic.
Once again thanks
Disregard this. Just after I posted this beta 4 came out which is newer than the official release so happy days...
Beta 3 was already 11 minutes newer than stable Pie.

Downgrade from Pie

I updated to Pie and I hate it. I want to go back to the latest updated version of Oreo just before the Pie upgrade. I'm with Telstra in Australia and can only find the Oreo version form Telstra from September 2017. Is it possible to install that version and apply updates right up just before Pie?
Are you concerned that factory images that do not list a specific carrier or region are not suitable for installation on a Telestra device? For example, 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018) does not call out a region or carrier. The initial Pixel 2 factory image and several later images do not list a carrier or region.
Perhaps you can back up your current install, try the November 2018, and see you like it better. If not, attempt to downgrade to 8.1.0 (OPM2.171026.006.G1, Jul 2018). If the downgrade fails, reinstall your 9.0 backup.
For what it's worth, I have not done this and recommend searching the forum for people who have tried to downgrade: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2/help/to-downgrade-android-9-0-t3850398
Hope this helps somewhat.

Pie was released in October. The September update would be the most recent image for Oreo. You can install it but if you do, you won't be able to update your phone again. All future updates will be Pie. What I'm saying is you won't be able to install future updates without installing the Pie update first. There is no more Oreo after September.
Yeah I'm not interested in upgrading any further than the last Oreo version. So many features of pie are just not to my liking. I can't back up my current install because I haven't unlocked my bootloader or rooted yet. Mainly because Oreo was so good there was no real reason for me to bother. Now I'm forced to, to get rid of this terrible version of android.

What I think @robocuff means is that you will not receive any security patches going forward. All subsequent patches will be for Pie only.

Yeah I understand that. That's why I wanted to get the latest Oreo before pie so I was as up to date as possible. I don't care about updating any further. I just want a decent ROM, which in my opinion, Pie is far from.
Thanks for the input guys.

It hasn't come out yet for the US Unlocked model, AFAIK.
FWIW, if you jump on the One UI 5 Beta (Android 13),it's on the August 2022 security patch.

It's all right here:
How to install the One UI 5 beta on your Samsung phone
The One UI 5 beta is upon us! Here's how you can sign up for the program and be the first to test Samsung's latest OS.
www.androidpolice.com
No data is lost on the upgrade, just as with any stable Android update, but, if you do decide to roll back to Android 12, it will reset your phone.
@vvrrare
If you use any GoodLock modules, some have not been updated for compatibility with One UI 5.
