Pretty basic question here - AT&T LG G3

I just flashed back to stock to receive some OTA updates I've missed and not much has changed honestly so my question is what's the newest android version and built/software?
Right now I'm at:
Android 5.0.1
Build # LRX21Y
Software Version: D85020f
Is this current or did my phone limbo under a more recent update? Thanks guys.

Come on guys I'm countin on you lol btw it updated to D85021q 5.0.1

So any update on this yet?

No one can tell me what the newest build and soft version?

As in stock or custom theres cm 13 android 6.0 or ure on the latest update i think for att

I appreciate that. It shows the update 21r but doesn't show what the update is about. I believe this is the last update I'll need for a while so I should be able to root at this point and post up for a while.

Yes id wait for marshmallow to be out for a while to to see bugs and such before updating to it too i run kk until about 2 months ago just because of all the bugs

[Q] Android L update to Final Build (Nexus 5)

So I recently upgraded from my Nexus 5 from 4.4.4 KitKat to the Android L developer preview that was released in October. Now that the official final build is coming to Nexus devices, will I have to MANUALLY update to the final build, or will I get an OTA update (Considering I am using the PREVIEW right now) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes you will need to flash the new update to your phone. OTAs aren't supported in the developer previews

They either didn't release yet before 33.2.A.4.70, or they rolled back the update from 33.3.A.0.127 to 33.2.A.4.70.

Updates for 6.0.1 without installing 7.0

I had installed Nougat as soon as it was available for my S7 and never really liked the battery life. Maybe I could have tried to fix it but instead I downgraded back to 6.0.1 through Odin.
So far every thing is fine. But the first and only update that I received is the 7.0 upgrade again. Ofcourse I didn't install it this time. But it looks like I'm not getting any other updates or patches now.
When I look at the Security patch level, that is from Dec. 2016.
I think I don't get any updates for 6.0.1 now because the is an upgrade waiting to be downloaded and installed.
Is that how it works or am I missing something.
Thanks.

Install the last (newest) 6.0.1 ROM, and that is the last update you will get for it, it's not like Windows
If you want to stay up to date with security updates you MUST be running the latest available ROM, which is 7.0
Thanks.
I have the latest rom I could find. And was hoping I would get at least the latest security updates for 6.0.1.
Looks like I will have an other look at 7.0 again soon.

Nope, mobile OS's are discontinued once a new major OS version is released
iOS/WP/Android all the same

Cannot find update.

Hello, I have a galaxy s8+ from att, and i am using it on the att network. G55USQU1AQGL is my baseband version and I am on android version 7.0. Att recently announced the 8.0 oreo update but my phone cannot find it, it says it is up to date. Any help is appreciated.
Per ATT side notes, I think you have to at least be on one of these version to receive the Oreo update;
G955USQS2BQL1*,G955USQS2BRB1

Hi MannySV, I was chatting with the AT&T Advanced Mobile Team. They told me that they are currently halted the Android 8.0 due to some bugs. The new update will be pushed out within 24 hours. My phone didn't receive the previous update, so fingers crossed. I hope this helps!

You are behind a couple of updates. For some reason mine wouldn't find updates either, heres how i fixed it. Go to https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...tep_KM1203359?make=Samsung&model=SamsungG955U and find which update you are on, and figure out which comes next, you have to do them in order. Then go to https://samsung.firmware.science and select your model, baseband and the baseband you need to update to, which you can find on the att site. Then just flash via recovery and adb. Beware however, that it erases everything off your phone.
Question?

Hi MannySV, I just updated my phone and the current baseband version is: G955USQU2CRB9 (Android 8.0). However, on the AT&T website, it said the latest update is G955USQU2CRC5. Which I believe my current version is the one that AT&T halted. I hope I can update to the latest one after this. Once again. Thank you so much.

Download and run this app ,it will give you a string of numbers start that start with 15 or 11
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298935345
If the first two numbers are 15, you can have root and be running up to date custom ROM in an hour. If the first two numbers are 11 you can still do some cool customising but no root or custom ROMs , for the most part anyway.
Anyway download and run the app from link above / then you can start here if you want to keep going. Good luck

You can get root it's just going to require more effort and the use of a PC. Go to the following link and scroll down to the directions for the S5 that starts with 11... ignore the fact that it says Toshiba.
