Usb cable burned - Xiaomi Mi 4i

Hi, I rooted my device last year, tried different roms.
After sometime I flashed the stock rom, it was running all fine for sometime but there was some heating problem when charging or using the device. Then one day the display cracked, I ordered a compatible display from aliexpress and that worked....
Now last night I connected the charging cable and forgot to check it. And in morning phone was unable to switch on and not charging, so I changed the cable but it also not worked, now whatever cable I use the get burned.
Is the any possible way to fix it?
Kindly help.

[Q] Optimus 3D not charging and freezing

Hi to all!
I have this phone about 4 months now, and the phone sometimes wont charge when I plug it in. Also, sometimes when fully charged, it freezes and I need to pull the battery out and restart it. I could not charge it last night and when I turned the phone off and re-inserted the charger plug it charged normally (apart from phone being off).
I have taken it to the dealership service since it could not connect to the wifi and drained battery really fast after that and they changed the usb socket and reinstalled the software. The phone passed all their tests, and it connects to the wifi flawless now, but this charging issue is really bugging me. I almost overslept one day not knowing that the darn thing has frozen.
The phone has all the stock firmware and the OS is 2.3.5.
Any help appreciated..

It's your cable mate i had the same problem the cable LG gave us is cheap you need to buy a good usb cable. I use my Htc desires cable not only does it fit it is stably connected and doesnt move about in the socket i use the lg plug of course but the htc desire cable... Sorted..
Before i used my htc cable my charging always got stuck and i would have to pull the battery now i don't have to do that.. Also the lg cable damages the usb socket on your phone quickly i suggest get a cable if it does that then have it fixed and never use the LG cable again...
Really?!
That is really good news than!
My wife has Galaxy Ace and I did use her charger several times in the past and I had partial success with it, sometimes it would charge, sometimes not, but I never tried it after servicing the phone.
I will try it, thanks for the reply...

Asus Transformer TF101 not charging issue

Hi,
I have this tablet, got it brand new a year ago maby - I cant remember exactly. It has always worked perfectly and I have never had a problem with it. It has never been rooted etc, still running official firmware through built-in updater and only has few apps installed from the play store.
Anyway the battery is currently on 26% so thought I'd give it a charge before I use it tonight except its not taking a charge, I'm using the original cable and wall plug which the tablet came with & I have tried it in a different wall socket. I then tried connecting it to my laptop to see if its the plug and the tablet recognizes its been connected as the Asus Sync PC information icon comes up - it just wont charge and I dont know why.
Has anyone experienced this? and can anyone help me with a solution please? It just happend out of the blue and I last charged it a couple of nights ago with no problems. Also i just have the tablet as I didnt buy the keyboard addon for it at the time just so you have all the information.
Thanks

Hi,
I seem to have fixed it, I simply took the two parts of the plug apart and put them back together again, now its charging fine. It seems it needs 15v to charge the battery which I guess is why it doesn't charge via a usb port on a computer.

[Q] Strange Moto G XT1032 apparently blown but working.

Hello, i've been lurking for a while this forum for advice with other devices but now i really need your help.
A few weeks ago i plugged the phone to the car USB port, i never had problems with it since (i think) i always plugged the phone with the car already on.
Now, there's this situation:
I get into the car, plugged in the phone and turned on the car, then the phone made a strange noise. As i checked the phone it was still working fine BUT it wasn't charging at all, it was like there wasn't any usb cable plugged to the microUSB port.
Since the phone was working fine i didn't mind, but as i returned home i tried several power chargers with diferent amps, cables and it wasn't charging the battery, so the phone died and i don't know what to do.
I took the phone to a phone service repair center and they changed the microUSB port but no luck.
This seems pretty strange since it was working normally in that condition, but i wasn't able tomake it charge in any way.
I'm trying to see if i can charge the battery just a little (i've teared down the phone) but i'm afraid i'll do something wrong since there are 4 connectors on the battery, also if there is any advice and if i need to look for something on the PCB to check if there was something blown.
Thank you very much, any help is appreciated.

Wierd charging issue

For the last three months my G920F automatically connects and disconnects from the charger when it is connected to the wired charger. It happens quite oftenly when the battery is charging from 0 to 20 percent and when there are more apps opened i.e. the phone is drawing more current. This connection problem slows down after 20% though. I haven't noticed this on wireless charging. I ve bought a new cable and charger and the problem still persists. The phone will automatically disconnect and connect in a fraction of a second without moving any cable or phone.
So is it a damaged usb port or is it some kind problem with the charging IC? I am using orignal fast charger and cable and i have tried dozen other cables and chargers. Knox is tripped though.

Sounds like it could be the charging port if you have tried different chargers and cables, apart from that you can try flashing a new rom, just remember to back up.

Already tried that. Right now i am on stock marshmallow with space x kernel.
have the same issue since ~3 months. Its happening fitfully and i think about sending it into repair.
I was also using different chargers and cables but the issue still exists. So far the only work around is using wireless charging. I'm on Stock 6.0.1 btw

Fast charging not working

Yesterday morning, the Fast Charging worked ( I have an original Fast Charge adapter and a Baseus cable and i was charging with it with no problem until now)
That same afternoon I took the phone to replace the camera window(not the whole camera just the glass on the front; there are no signs of opening the phone)
In the evening I put the phone to charge and it writes that it takes 6 hours for full charge up to 100%
I was replacing adapters, cables- showing the same(approximately 6 hours).
I went to 3 stores, wanted different adapters and cables and still shows the same-USB charging,
My question is if anyone has an idea what to do in the situation because they told me that if I had to change the USB port or the battery, the phone should be opened.

Nope...Even this isnt working...I have to transfer files over Wi-Fi...My PC says that it cant recognise the device even with installed Samsung drivers..So yeah I guess it has to be broken USB-port...
Fast charger not working because of:
1 you installed custom kernel
2 bad custom rom
3 bad cable
4 bad usb phone connector
To make sure you have good ROM
Flash the right stock ROM...then take it from there...

Yes. So more then for sure is broken USB-port...
I have the same problem. No fast charging and no connection to PC. This worked before and both abruptly went bad. I figured it was a bad phone connector port/jack and replaced it with a new one. Still doesn't fast charge or connect to the PC. Tried many cables also. Most be a software glitch. This has been driving me crazy for a few weeks. Can't figure it out.
To add, I did try to connect my phone to a fast charging car charger and noticed it wasn't fast charging and then I brought it in to the house to charge it normally to see if it was fast charging and it wasn't. After plugging it into the car charger, no more fast charging anywhere. Like I said, I changed the charging jack board in the phone and still not fast charging or connection to PC. Both had worked previously.
I have the same problem too, 6/7 months ago suddenly fast charging stopped working and no connection to pc. I have to mention that i have stock firmware, i never had a custom one and tried lots of usb cables pcs etc
