I was very excited about playing PUBG but found out that it isnt compatible. Since then I've been trying to find a way to run pubg on my phone.I found a post instructing to edit the build.prop file.....I changed the model number in it..still Play Store was showing it incompatible...so i replaced the entire build.prop file of my phone with that of a compatible phone(GalaxyJ7).The phone was working fine...but when I restarted it it wont boot up...stuck on boot logo...
I'm able to enter recovery and download mode.
It wont read any sd card so cant flash anything from there
Tried flashing using adb ..but am getting a error
Phone isnt being added to Odin neither to Heimdall even though I can see my device in Device Manager.
Plzzzzzzz Help....Will I have to use Jtag???????????:

Did you have USB debugging enabled in settings? If not, that may be why you can't get Odin to recognize your device.
Have you tried using the Samsung Kies or Smart Switch software to perform an emergency recovery?

Yes bro debugging was enabled..but never mind I solved the problem...my phone is working now...
I read somewhere that if Odin isn't recognizing your phone ...boot it in download mode connect USB and then remove the battery.... Still Odin didn't ..but my PC recognized the device (do you mind telling me the logic behind this?). Then I switched to Linux and did the same 'battery removal' thing on Heimdall ...and it detected my phone and I flashed Twrp successfully. Then flashed a new rom and its working perfectly now

Thanks i am currently looking at that but i cant connect to usb either because my phone is messed up and my laptop wont recognize it.
I can boot into the OS , like i can use the phone normally but its kind of messed up , shuts off randomly , gets stuck , makes horrible beeping noise etc etc.
So i just want this all cleared up and install a new fresh ROM
Please help
Well try to reinstall kies and all! Try to remove the sd card and inserting it to your computer trough a sd reader and put a stock rom on it, go in to fastboot (if your phone have it) then flash trough fastboot. Your phone can be saved, don't worry.

There is something really wrong with the usb settings , ive installed/uninstalled Kies several times , installed/reinstalled USB drivers several times but no luck.
I have rom manager and when i choose another rom to install it reboots the phone to get into clockwork recovery mode but instead of going to recovery my phone gets stuck on the Galaxy S start up screen
So
- No computer access (cant use odin)
- No recovery

problem began after i factory reset the tab, my tab keeps rebooting everytime either when i connecting to a wifi network/turning off the wifi/going to settings. then it freezes, and shows the samsung logo indefinitely.
when i force reboot it no longer goes into the system but only to samsung logo. i had to factory reset everytime to get into welcome screen.
the tab also have a usb connection issue as it wont get detected by the pc
odin pro is available but kinda useless since it still have to download specific files the tab for it to work
my tab is currently running on 4.1.2 P6800DXMD3 with skyhigh 3.9.1 kernel.no custom recovery
hope my english is good enough
anybody here can help me?
1. Try wipe cache in recovery and flash stock kernel.
2. Try flash full official firmware package with Odin PC. You may need to factory reset again in recovery before first boot.
Best of luck

You didn't say (and haven't said) it wouldn't connect in Download Mode. I didn't assume.....
- Make sure you have both the latest Samsung USB and ADB drivers installed. Uninstall old ones, reboot, install new and reboot.
- Have you checked your USB cable is ok?
If you can't enter download mode, you could be hurting.
- If all you can do is enter stock recovery, and if you had USB debugging enabled, maybe it's possible to push to system and preload etc. with ADB.

im gonna assume usb debugging is disabled since i factory reset the tab. so the setting must have been reset as well? but then i cant to to settings then the tab would freeze.

thanks for suggestion but i already resolve the prob :victory:
mobile odin still havent download the specific files for the tab so most of its features doesnt work. it doesnt even read files for sd card (not sure why)
but luckily i was able to flash custom recovery (twrp recovery) through it. so i had to push the files in via bluetooth from my phone.
well once in recovery just do all the usual stuff to flash the rom. using pac man right now. really wanted to use stock but i scared the bug would come again.
mobile odin literally saved my tab
I'm working on un-bricking my SPH-l710 S3. I am trying to use Odin in the process. I am wondering if odin is recognizing my phone. I included an attachment showing Odin and my device mgr. If the zero is before the port # does that mean the computer isn't recognizing the phone? I downloaded and installed the newest samsung drivers. I can't get the bootlaoders to download to the phone It fails every time. I'm going to try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125&page=1 I guess and see if I can get my phone back working again.
I think you should try universal adb drivers for your pc or u can download kingoroot app for your device in pc because when you install kingoroot app to your pc during installation process it will automatically install your phone drivers to your pc
Or you have to update your odin to latest version

I got the drivers to work now in Odin but when I try to load the boot loader I keep getting a fail. I originally tried to fix my phone, not booting in to recovery, by using Kies. Kies tried to download something to the phone when it booted to download mode the phone boots directly to download mode and still won't boot to recovery. Now I'm going to try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125&page=1 to fix it. Unless someone can tell me a better solution.
Hi xda members, im new in here and i was hoping for a bit of help
My phone is galaxy s6 SM-920T
I was reading on the net when the phone powered off and started restarting and restating again and stuck at book logo "powered by samsung".
I am not able to go into recovery mode but i can open the os download mode.
Tried many times with odin and no luck
I think due to the phone being full encrypted by me nothing can be done, is there any posibility? Thanks
The same here. I cant get into recovery. I had Terminator Rom installed. I can get into download mode but odin doesnt detect it. I eventoght the usb door was damadged so paid 60$ do replace it at samsung. But odin still doesnt not recognize it. Odin does recognize my Samsung Tablet 4.

I've had cases where you had to put the phone into download mode THEN open Odin for it to be seen. Maybe try that.
With it in download mode and plugged up open devices and printers and scroll to bottom and see if it shows up. Would be called gadget_serial. Some computers take a while to load the drivers for it as well. You may want to click little popup menu on bottom right of desktop by the time and date and see if it shows it is loading drivers for it. It will not show up until the gadget serial drivers are installed.
Thanks for the help. Nothing worked. It doesnt not recognizes the S6 only my Galaxy Tab 4. Could it be that the usb door wasnt repaired proprely ? Windows doesnt even detect the phone no gadget_serial. Nothing.
Make sure that You're using USB 2.0 not 3.0. My Note 4 worked through usb3.0 without any problem. And S6 doesn't. And if Odin reflash won't fix it. Get pit file and flash it with it.

Sounds like DRK may be damaged.
Take the stock OKC firmware and open the archive with 7-zip or winrar and extract the system.img and boot.img.
Download and unzip this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bsreazoonsw4gwv/tar-Tool_Odin3-v3.07_by_mkh.mourad.zip?dl=0
Copy/paste the system.img and boot.img into the software directory and run the batch file. It will spit out a system.tar.md5 and boot.tar.md5
Flash the system.tar.md5 with Odin as AP then flash the boot.tar.md5 as AP.

thank you gonna have to try tomorrow due to bad USB cables, will let you know thank you so much for your help
If all else fails, just boot your phone into download phone and install Samsung Kies and restore it using that.
You will need the model & serial number of your phone. It will restore the latest stock firmware on your phone for you..

You cant, I suggest using a friend or family member's serial number that has the same model phone.. the serial number is a way of identifying the correct carrier specific rom.

Reflash your phone with one of this ROM will help you to make your problem resolved 100%
So I got this free Galaxy Tab 10.1, and tried adding a Custom ROM to help it run better, and be able to run some apps that the old android 3 os couldn't run. As of now, it has CWM v6.0.3.6 installed, as well as a KitKat ROM. This ROM seems to have been corrupted, and now the keyboard constantly stops working (receiving constant pop ups about it) and it no longer will connect to my PC via USB, although it still charges when it is plugged in.
I made a mistake when I was installing this ROM, and my backup stock ROM was never loaded onto the tablet.
My original thought was to use the install from sideload option to get a different ROM onto it, but it doesn't detect even in Recovery mode.
Odin does detect the device, so is there a way to use this utility to fix this problem? Or maybe some other option that I'm not thinking of?
Thanks for the help

Greetings and welcome o assist. If odin detects your device then kies emergency firmware recovery should work, that will return your tablet to its original state. The other option is to flash a different rom through recovery, just download it to your sd card and then flash it

I booted the device into download mode, where it is detected by Odin. Kies can tell that something is connected, but it just continuously tries to connect. The device does not have an sd card slot, so there is no way for me to add a different rom to it.
EDIT: Kies does not detect anything being connected at all if the device is booted normally.

If you start kies and select emergency firmware recovery it will ask you to put your phone in download mode and connect it. Does kies recognise it then?
