Automatically Power on when USB Charger is plugged in - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have a rooted OnePlus 6 android device. I need to make it so it will automatically power on when plugged in to a usb charger. As far as I know all I need to do is to replace the battery charging animation file with a reboot script command. My problem is that I don't know the name of the file that is responsible for battery animation. Each OEM has its own version and naming of that file, so googling didn't help in this case. I need the one that is specific for oneplus 6 device. Please help! Thank you!

OxygenOS battery animation file maybe?
Anyone can help? Maybe it's not OnePlus 6 specific, if somebody tried to customize the battery animation for OnePlus device while the phone is off, I would love to hear about your experience. Is it part of the Kernel or is it a dedicated file that I can just update to get my own animation (or script) running instead.

I highly doubt it is fully bricked... You'll need to try a few more things, and learn a few things along the way. Install the Android SDK to get to use ADB. This will require googling and searching here.
Once Installed, plug in the tab, open a command prompt and type: adb devices
This will list the device if it is discovered. I doubt it will see the tab, since device manager is going bonkers...
But if it does, that's great progress.
Also, you'll need to download Samsung Kies (just for the driver) and download Odin, again Google and search here for that. With the tab plugged in, open Odin and see if the tab is connected (yellow box).
See if you can connect to the device with these and let us know.
THE FOLLOWING MAY BE DANGEROUS but I've done it on other devices just fine. Hardware is my specialty:
1) If the charging to the battery is indeed screwed and the battery is drained , which it very well could be, then the tab will not connect to the computer in ADB or Odin.
2) You'll need to remove the back cover and remove the battery. The goal will be to charge the battery enough to flash an oem rom.
3) Rechargeable batteries will directly accept a variety of voltages (input to charge), but will get very hot if you get close to and/or go over the stock output voltage. The output of the oem battery is 3.7 volts, so I wouldn't feed it any more than 3.5 volts raw.
4) Find a charger or some stable source of 2.5 to 3.5 volts. I always keep my chargers for old devices just for fun things like this. Hopefully you have a multimeter, find the + and - of the charger wires.
5) Now the dangerous part: you'll have to figure out how to temporarily wire the charging source to the battery. I usually make a little plug out of random hardware. Whatever works for you.
6) Let it charge for an hour or two, but not overnight or anything long. Put it all back together and see if you can get some life out of it.
Try these things and good luck! Let us know your progress!

Idol 3 5.5 power on when plugged

Hey guys,
I'd like to have the Idol 3 be startet, when the wall charger is plugged in.
Is it manageable ?
I know that this can be done to Samsung devices - Alcatels as well?

You can find the animation in /system/media/chargeranimation.zip
I think for boot on charging, I have to change something in the kernel.

You have indeed..
sure it can be done, but i think the kernel is loaded after the initial startup.
But i can be mistaken. Maybe the kernel is loaded in power off state, when charger is pluged in, but it cna use different .rc file.
So As i know there were lpm file in older versions of android loacted in systme/bin the lpm file could be edited and then it worked, but as i looked into system/bin i havent found this file so either it has another name, or the startup process changed by OS version/manufacturer.

[Completed] LG LS660P (LG Tribute) Soft bricked (PLEASE HELP)

Hi all,
My friend has (I think) soft bricked his LG Tribute from sprint. It doesn't charge correctly when plugged into a laptop or the charger that came with it. it just shows the loading battery symbol. However, if you leave it plugged in for like 5-10mins, it will show something like:
[101160] fastboot_init()
[101260] USB init ept @ 0xffe5000
[101280] udc_start()
Oh, something I also forgot to mention is that the phone thinks the battery is at 0%, even though I charged it with an external charger. Even when i try to go into software mode with the charger plugged in, it doesn't let me, because of the "low" battery percentage. I want to get this phone back up and running, so if ANY of you guys out there have the exact same device as me, I need the stock rom for this device. i have been googling for hours with no luck (The roms i found weren't in the format i needed) .kdz format needed in order to use LG flash tool. Also, do take note that this device has NEVER been rooted, or flashed in any way. if ANY of you guys manage to find the stock ROM for this device, PLEASE link it down in the thread. Thanks!

Auto boot on charger connect with ASUS K004 ME371MG

Hi,
I want to install my ASUS K004 ME371MG permanently in my car. Using Takser or Autosleeper app, I am able to power off the table if charger is disconnected. However I am not able to boot the device when charger is connected (Even with wall socket). It is stuck at battery animation screen.
Tried contacting Asus and no proper response. Based on other forum discussion, I cannot find any related file under /system/bin folder (file: playlpm, lpm, battery_charging, etc) .
Any file modifications or custom rooted ROM suggestions?
Please help me.

Lenovo TAB 2 A7-30D auto-boot when charging

Hello guys,
I'm new to this forum so I dont know where exactly to post thread like this, hope you will understand. So for several days I'm trying to make my Lenovo TAB 2 A7-30D auto-boot when charger is pluged in. I tried several ways:
1. Tried with fastboot, but when I write any fastboot eom command, I dont get any respond
2. Tried changing /system/bin/ipod file, but when I change something, turn off tablet then plug in charger and tablet stuck with loading logo
3. Tried changing init.rc file but when I do some changes then reboot tablet, after reboot changes are gone
4. Tried to find boot.img, didn't figured out which partition is my boot partition so I pulled all of them, but only partition 5 and partition 7 extracted and still I coulnd find any init.rc file.
Guys please help me, I've been struggling with this for days.
So I managed to get boot.img but now I'm strugling with init.rc code, what should I put inside, to make it auto boot when charged
