Hi all,
My friend has (I think) soft bricked his LG Tribute from sprint. It doesn't charge correctly when plugged into a laptop or the charger that came with it. it just shows the loading battery symbol. However, if you leave it plugged in for like 5-10mins, it will show something like:
[101160] fastboot_init()
[101260] USB init ept @ 0xffe5000
[101280] udc_start()
Oh, something I also forgot to mention is that the phone thinks the battery is at 0%, even though I charged it with an external charger. Even when i try to go into software mode with the charger plugged in, it doesn't let me, because of the "low" battery percentage. I want to get this phone back up and running, so if ANY of you guys out there have the exact same device as me, I need the stock rom for this device. i have been googling for hours with no luck (The roms i found weren't in the format i needed) .kdz format needed in order to use LG flash tool. Also, do take note that this device has NEVER been rooted, or flashed in any way. if ANY of you guys manage to find the stock ROM for this device, PLEASE link it down in the thread. Thanks!

Sorry I know this has probably been asked before, yes I have been searching but can't find an answer. I rooted my phone last Feb. and have been through several rom's. Now I want to switch rom's again but, when I plug my phone into my pc via usb I am not given any choices on my phone it automatically is going directly into charge and not giving me the option to use my phone as drive so that I can add new rom to my sd/card. How do I fix this? Please help!!!
Sorry found correct usb cord. The one I had plugged in was for charging only.
Thanks anyway

Hey, guys!
So here's my problem... After a few days with custom rom [5.0 Lollipop AOSP RC2 (V5)], I decided to go change back to stock firmware 6.2.b.1.96_Generic_1266_3189. Flashed it with flashtool. After it was done flashing(usb cable still connected), my phone was still in flash mode. So I decided to flash it again. But when I was about to flash it, the green led was gone and my phone turned on, so I disconnected the usb cable. I decided to factory reset my phone so I could get rid of the leftover files. After rebooting, I had to charge it because my phone was about 5%. I connected the charger but there was no orange led light. It wasn't charging. Connected it to pc but it wasn't detected(with usb debugging on). With only 1% percent left, I was desperate to find what the problem was...
My phone was completely undetectable. Sony PC Companion and Flashtool.
Tried a lot different usb cables but it was still undetectable. Tried with both usb debugging on & off.
Can't flash anything 'cause obviously I can't connect it via fastboot and flashmode if it was undetectable.
Tried dozen of hard reset but nothing. Connected the charger and waited for 3 hours or so but still nothing happened. Didn't charge it overnight and charged it afterwards but still no response. Can't remove battery because it's built-in. The only charging that worked was through docking. Though I'm quite not sure where it started to be undetectable. Rebooting after flashing or rebooting after the factory reset...
I've read through a dozen of forums and threads but there wasn't anything similar with mine. I can't find any solution.
Any help would really be APPRECIATED. :good::good::good:
And, THANK YOU in advance!

I have a Xperia S running cm 12.1 with unlocked bootloaders TWRP installed and i tried to partition my SD card [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584759] but clearly something went wrong and now the phone wont boot. I made a lot of research and tried everything but all the guides require to be able to boot into flashmode . My phone is dead the only sign of life is a red led when its charging which after some hours of charge will shut off. When the light is off and the phone connected on PC, the PC can recognize the device on unspecified devices (QHSUSB_DLOAD). i have installed all the needed drivers from Sony, google drivers from sdk, and adb drivers(adb wont see the device and i tried everything to do so, but nothing seem to work). I got a market for android on my pc called mobogenie that when i connect the phone it detects that a phone is connected but wont see what phone.The hardware reset buttons work but its useless in the current position. Concluding, the phone is bricked and wont open in fastboot-flashboot-bootloader-TWRP, its recognized as a device but not as "Xperia s" i got all the drivers and i want to flash the original firmware (already downloaded) to fix it. A possible problem is that the partition table is destroyed and after the flash it will hopefully be restored. The problem is not on the hardware but on software. I tried to trigger the download mode with the Samsung way (USB jig, 300k ohm ) but nothing happened as expected. Every solution i found required flash mode which is not accessible at the moment and i tried lots of things to go into fastboot(ever the rubber band trick,remove the battery etc). PLEASE help i dont know what to do, please help me flash it (i already got flashtool, Emma) or anohter solution. Thanks for the help in advance. (its my first thread in the forum, i hope to post it on the right section, i posted it here because i need the assistance of the developers i guess)

As you may have noticed it seems to be a quite rare problem. If you can't turn it on and the pc doesn't recognize it in any way,
there's probably just one final step to try and that's Sony Repair Service (if they even try to fix a device that old).
But first make sure you got the right drivers installed as the device isn't gonna be recognized by the pc if they aren't installed correctly.
