Updated yesterday and are happy with the Trusted Faces function from Android Oreo. My Pixel 2 on Android P won't work 90% of the time. The Faces icon on lockscreen just flashes and turns into the finger print icon. Anyone else with the same problem?

Since today I have a Android wear smartwatch and I have the following issue on XtreStoLite 2.4. I have the finger print lockscreen active yet it only gives me the swipe lockscreen. Is there any reason for this? Thanks for any help.
Maybe you have enabled your smartwatch as a trusted device.
This was indeed the case thank you!
Hello guys, after install oreo update, my Taskbar does not work correctly sometimes.

I have same issue. I think it has something to do with the notifications messing things up
i have the same issue as well, it only seems to happen to me if i unlock the phone with fingerprint and i have a notification present, i get the same cut off screen and the notification doesn't show... if i turn off the screen and unlock it again it works fine. pattern unlock doesn't seem to do this. the only difference i can think of is pattern goes through the lock screen and then to the home screen whereas fingerprint bypasses the lockscreen. Other people are having this issue as well.
I think i figured out what was causing it. Last night when this happened again i unlocked the phone to turn on my flashlight and when I turned it on it fixed itself without having to turn off the screen...i since then moved the flashlight toggle further down and not on the first row and it hasnt happened yet...give it a try as this is probably the bug and why only a few people are facing it.

Mevermind, it wasnt the flashlight toggle, however turning it on/off fixes it as it causes an additional notification to popup.

Hey there yes as the title says i am seeing a very tint green dot(stuck pixel maybe) on my screen. But the thing is it's only shows when the fingerprint icon is displayed (AOD/lockscreen) as soon as I unlock the phone its working fine. i checked with app or any dark background it's not there, only shows when fingerprint icon shows up . Could it be a software glitch?

Only way to know is to fully format your phone with Odin since it replaces your entire software.

Thank you for the reply. I don't wanna try flashing it's a new device so
That's weird. The color and appearance looks like the indicator when microphone or camera is on at the upper right corner of the display. Seems to be a software issue. Can you tell us what firmware is installed and is your phone rooted eg ?
It's the latest August patch. No my phone is not rooted. It's only shows when fingerprint is enable or the fingerprint icon is showing. As soon as I unlock the phone it dissappears.
What model is your phone sm-a536 N,B,0,U1... and the firmware version ? You can find these under settings-->phone info-->software info
If there is a connection to the fingerprint scanner or symbol you can try to patch it under: settings-->biometric data security-->more biometric settings-->patch
Further you may deactivate the fingerprint indicator on aod under settings-->biometric data security-->fingerprints-->show symbol when screen is off to see if the green spot disappears on aod
This should help to figure it out.

Model number is SM-A536E/DS
Yes the green dot disappear if i disable the fingerprint sensor.
Greendot always shows when ever fingerprint icon is displayed no matter where AOD/ or in APP
Went to the service centre today for a replacement letter but they wouldn't provide it saying it so tiny and small issue wasted my time there.
Did you patch the fingerprint software ?
Since the green dot only appears when fingerprint icon is showing or sensor is active it must be a software issue. Definitely not a dead or stuck pixel, normally they are dark or white all the time so your display should be good.
You can go to settings--> software-update to check if there is a newer version for you available and provide the installed firmware like already mentioned. If there is no working patch for the fingerprint software and no new update for your device you have to wait for the next firmware update since you already got the newest august security patch.

Hi guys, after last update (December patch) when I try to lock the phone with double tap, the screen lock and immediately show the lockscreen. Many users on a Facebook group encountered this problem, only using a third part launcher.
It's annoying because if I lock the screen when I have the phone in front of me, it unlock immediately because of face unlock (no, I use that function and will not remove it).
Someone figured out a way to fix this? I've tried everything but it doesn't works, in no way.
news?
I use Nova (beta 8.03) and I am on the December patch, and I do not have a problem with double tap. My setting is Gestures/Inputs / Double tap set to screen lock. Screen Lock method is set to accessibility.

So the problem only appears with third party launchers? Which launcher? I thought that December patch would only be a security update but perhaps it's not so. I'm in November patch still.

Yes, all third party launchers..
I found that Google fixed an issue on Pixels relative to double tap.. maybe fixing that has caused problems to others manufacturers...
No solutions yet...

Ohhh ... I was hoping that it will be fixed with Jan update....
Same for me with Galaxy A52s 5g Snapdragon and Nova launcher 7.0.57. Is there a way to downgrade the security update to November?
My setting is Gestures/Inputs / Double tap set to screen lock. Screen Lock method is set to accessibility.
Speed Test
work on s23 ultra
Fixed with One UI 5.1!!! Finally!!!
Here the solution for all Samsung phones
Screen Lock : turn off screen - Apps on Google Play
Lock the screen with a virtual button, which can prolong the life of the phone

Hi anyone having issue with AOD doesnt appear right after i turn it on ? My AOD only appear sometimes. Most of the time my AOD doesnt work like my any other devices previously
The same for me. I need to touch fingerprint sensor with another finger to activate AOD.
İt is a stupid function. When enviroment is dark it turn it self off. i told it to xiaomi, they said it will be fixed in next update. I also told them the fingerprint icon which also disappers after couple seconds. they will fix it too. Stupid to have very fast fingerprint reader but hide it. then you never unlock the screen at first try
oh I was on the european ROM and could not find the option to have my AOD always on ...
... but I found it in the xiaomi.eu ROM ... I am glad I can now read the time again in the dark when I put my xiaomi 13 on my wireless charger ...
