Question AOD doesnt work - Xiaomi 13

Hi anyone having issue with AOD doesnt appear right after i turn it on ? My AOD only appear sometimes. Most of the time my AOD doesnt work like my any other devices previously

The same for me. I need to touch fingerprint sensor with another finger to activate AOD.

İt is a stupid function. When enviroment is dark it turn it self off. i told it to xiaomi, they said it will be fixed in next update. I also told them the fingerprint icon which also disappers after couple seconds. they will fix it too. Stupid to have very fast fingerprint reader but hide it. then you never unlock the screen at first try

oh I was on the european ROM and could not find the option to have my AOD always on ...
... but I found it in the xiaomi.eu ROM ... I am glad I can now read the time again in the dark when I put my xiaomi 13 on my wireless charger ...

Fingerprint sensor working from time to time

Hello, well I have noticed recently a strange behavior in the fingerprint sensor, but this behavior its always there (its not recently)
I have a pattern and the fingerprint enabled, but the fingerprint sensor only works when ths lockscreen displays the fingerprint logo, but here is the strange thing, the sensor recognize my fingerprint (because it vibrates once and ask for the pattern, if I put another finger its not registered, vibrate twice and doesnt ask for the pattern), I have already flash the phone several times, the first time I believe the sensor just doesnt recognize me, but later I discover this behavior and it looks like maybe a software bug
Something else notice these?
Is there a fix? its sometimes annoying
Thanks!

maybe its a hardware issue , i think u said u flashed ur phone several times? tried different ftf files? if thats the case , then its hardware issue. i havent heared that at all. the only issue i have seen before with the fingrprnt scanner is that sometimes it says an error but u reboot and its ok ( havent seen that for months though)

yes I have flashed it several times with the original and other ftf files (always respecting the model number), will try with a friends phone and see if this behavior happen there too
Latest firmware of Nordic Combined hasn't given this issue for more than a month now. Do a clean update I'd say.

always on display

is there a trick to getting even stock app notifications? i am on 9.1.0.124 and i do not get any notifications on the AOD.
okay...figured out after i got my 153 update a few moments ago.
the AOD works like Samsung's did when they first rolled it out. you need to have a screen lock. I never use a screen lock on my phone, too much work, i always set it to "none"... if u want to look at my sh!t good luck to ya
when it still wasn't working after the update it occurred to me, i had the same issue early on with Samsung, put a lock screen on and voila... i am getting notifications on the AOD, as quick as the fingerprint scanner is its going to be a trade-off, samsung changed it but i doubt this will be changed on this phone

black circle blinking around the front camera

Hi guys,
I have the Note 10 plus and my wife bought last week the note 10 lite.
The lite have a circle around blinking around the front camera and the plus don't have this.
I searched everywhere and din't find an answer about what is that....
Any help?!
Did you buy the 10 lite used? I have a 10lite with aod notify installed it shows a ring around camera for notifications. So if you bought it used maybe its installed. Other than that not sure. Camera also has a lighted ring when you switch between front camera and rear camera, but its white.

No. It's brand new.
And I have the AOD notify in my Note 10 plus.
It's like a sensor. And just happens with the screen on.
The animation around the front camera appears when you are set to face unlock.

And it only appears to me when face unlock is on
same thing
Same situation here, it has nothing to do with face unlock or notification system, tried everything, always the same thing. Its like popping up around front camera every 5-6 seconds when on lock screen, and sometimes when scrolling through certain apps. Maybe some kind of camera-cut-out-pixels protection? Its an odd software behavior without any explanation from Samsung.
Maybe your smart stay is turned on, try to disable it under Motion and Gestures in the settings.
It appears during a video call too, and looks like a larger circle, like that one the other samsung products.
Also sry, for being off topic, i wanted to know how is your s pen working, because the nib of mine feels a little loose.
It is as @j.canlas mentioned. Smart Stay is tuned on, it checks if you are facing directly on the screen or not (to lock the display). I also kept on searching for what it was when the device was new to me, it bothered me a lot.
You can disable/enable it under Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures.

This is the correct explanation for the infrequent circle around the camera.

Umidigi S5 Pro FP Sensor Calibration

I've just replaced the screen on my friends S5 Pro and currently don't have a working FP sensor. I've double checked and the sensor is seated correctly and there is nothing obscuring its little window on the screen.
I want to recalibrate the sensor, but cannot find a way to do this. All of the useful dialer hidden codes are disabled. It might be that doing a factory reset or re-flashing the full firmware would trigger the sensor to calibrate itself, however my friend spent days getting everything just how he likes things and says he'd rather live without the sensor than have to set everything up again and doesn't trust non-root backup solutions to work properly. He doesn't want to unlock his bootloader, so rooting is out of the question.
Does anyone know of any way to get into some kind of engineering mode on this phone to be able to force a fingerprint sensor calibration?

The fingerprint sensor went completely over the cuckoo's nest in my Umidigi S5 Pro for no apparent reason, now I can't use it at all. Any ideas?
Same thing happened to me shortly after an OTA update if I remember correctly... any luck with a fix thus far?

Fingerprint not working ONLY on lockscreen.

Hello,
Since i changed my motherboard, my fingerprint unlock sensor isn't working on my lockscreen.
When I put my finger in, the phone does the animation and vibrates but does not unlock. Even when I put a finger that is not added in the settings, I don't get an error, it vibrates and does the animation endlessly.
Nevertheless, on other applications (my bank's one, my password manager or even in the phone's settings to access some options (!!!)), the sensor works perfectly!
I went to check in the CIT, and the fingerprint tests pass perfectly. I even tried several times to recalibrate the sensor, but the problem still persists.
This problem happens on MIUI 13 China (stock) and xiaomi.eu rom, and i tried multiple times to do a factory reset but nothing.
What can i do?
Thanks.

My problem was resolved by MIUI 14.
I don't know why but when the phone vibrate, the fingerprint sensor won't work. MIUI 14 added the option to disable vibration when unlocking, and since my fingerprint sensor works perfectly.
Check if you can disable the fingerprint vibration on PE.

Your problem comes from the rom and not from Miui since it is an AOSP rom, post on the rom thread.
