lost mobile network after updated to Android 8 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hi,
Kindly advise the way to downgrade my Samsung Galaxy S7 from Android 8 to Android 7. Since my phone updated to Android 8, I lost my mobile network and Bluetooth lost its function too. Wi-Fi connection is fine. IMEI not corrupted. ANP is correct. SIM card is fine as i tried inserted into another smartphone.
I tried factory reset after updated twice. The Problem still there. Pls help.
I back-up my phone before and after updated. 1st time factory reset -> When restore my apps after updated my apps data gone. Again i tried back up my phone and restore again after 2nd time factory reset. my apps data still missing. Can i know what's due to this problem? And how can i check my back up date from Samsung Cloud?
My phone model is SM-G930T.
Thank you.

[Q] Nexus 5 Possible EFS issue, IMEI already repaired

First post, long time lurker, so i'll start with a big thanks to the entire community for all the help you've unknowingly given me.
I just got a nexus 5 to replace my original n5 which has a broken screen. I took a backup of the original and restored it to the new one. Unfortunately i didn't know what EFS was, so i restored the old EFS to the new phone. IMEI went to zero. HUGE BUMMER.
I was able to fix the IMEI with QPST, but the new phone will not connect to the network. I've run a check on the IMEI and it is not blacklisted. Without incriminating myself, lets just say that i'm positive that the new IMEI is good.
The phone recognizes that i've inserted a SIM but shows no signal. I've tried to search for networks, i've checked the APN settings...
I REALLY don't want to send this to LG since they can't give me a price or even a ballpark figure without me shipping them the phone...
Any advice on next steps would be greatly appreciated.
What should i try next?!
flash the factory img and do not restore your efs on it.

I guess i should have mentioned that i've flashed factory also. Currently the phone is on the latest firmware, unrooted, locked bootloader. Flashing factory had no effect at any point.
I bought this phone on Swappa BTW, so i am assuming there are no hardware issues. I'm not at all certain what else may have been screwed up by having another phone's EFS restored over this "new" phone's EFS...
More Info
I am able to attempt to manually select the network. When i search for networks, the available networks are shown, but when i try to connect it shows the Registering dialog for quite a while, then fails. This is the same behavior as a working phone without a SIM installed. The odd part is that the phone will recognize when a SIM is installed or removed. It seems that my problem may be that the SIM is not being read properly or the data is being lost/corrupted between SIM and antenna. Is this possible? Is this EFS corruption? is this something i can fix? Please help.
Bump?

S7 says OS was modified without authorization?

Hi everybody,
my S7 doesn't want to turn on WiFi anymore, and don't know why. Checking my software version in searching for a clue, I tapped update OS and got the message that my OS was modified without authorization. I rooted some other smartphones in my earlier years (HTC) but not this one, I just have it for some 6 weeks. Did something like that occur to anyone of you?
I attached a screenshot of my softwareinfo if it helps.
Thank you in advance for any hint.
Might Be a software bug, try factory resetting. The important thing is that KNOX isn't tripped, you could always bring it to a Samsung Store and let them update it for free.
Y just try factory reset or installing a stock rom with odin again otherwhise go back to the store!
goodluck!
I did factory reset, and the problem was gone - for a short while. I also switched off auto update of fear of wrong OTA updates. Now, my OS doesn't appear as unauthorized altered. But the moment I inserted the second SIM (sorry, forgot to mention it's the dual SIM Version) the initial problem reappeard: No wifi connectivity. Is the wifi module located near the SIM Slots?
Cause of error found
Just wanted to inform you, that I succeeded in finding the source of wifi error: Using the second SIM slot (only with SIM, SD card working fine) disables wifi. Why exactly, I couldn't find out though... Anyone experienced something similar?

[Completed] Cat B15 has no mobile network

So, few days ago I installed app from google play, phone rebooted and got stuck in loading screen. So I flashed the firmware, it came alive but it wont register to mobile network. Neither do I have mobile network settings- those are all grayed out, so wth should i do about it?
What have I done so far:
1. Phone has been rooted.
2. IMEI codes are the same as in the back of the phone.
3. Have tried every firmware I have found on the internet.
4. After firmware flash(have cleaned cache, dalvik`s cache and factory reset)
5. After firmware flash to 1.26 have updated firmware through official channels to 1.41 and 1.65
Still have the same problem, no mobile network. Only thing I have not been able to change yet is S/N.
Is the wrong S/N the reason I do not have mobile network?
Found a solution, thanks for nothing

Both Sim Cards deactivated after latest update

After updating to the latest update, android 11 global for poco f2 both my sim card slots have been turned off.
When i try to turn on sim1 it tells me that only 1 sim card can have 5g enabled and to change my network settings.
Unfortunately none of the slots wont turn on so i cant change the network settings for either sim.
Have tried putting in 1 sim and restarting, in either slot 1 or 2 the sim slot still wont turn on.
Is there any other way to do it other than a factory reset?
I have same problem with you. I cannot turn on sim card 1 or 2. İt is very weird problem. Did u solve the problem ?

Yeap i did it. I had another bugs after the update. But factory reset fixed all of them
This version (stable BETA) in android 11 has multiple bugs. Many prefer to revert to the previous version.

Great,! Wish I'd bloody read this thread before I updated. At least I know now, it's not just me. Unfortunately, for me at least, I'm on stock & haven't modded, unlocked bootloader, rooted or flashed anything at all. Does anyone know if Xiaomi's backup utility is any good or shall I not bother before I factory reset?. Cheers.

IMEI is gone after first call

I have very weird case. I have upgraded my phone (Smasung Galaxy A31 - dual sim) to Android 12. I did factory reset and cleared all data.
Now, when I configure phone from scratch, everything is OK until I make a call. I can call anybody and I can talk how long I want (after last test It was more than 2 minutes). As soon I end up the call both IMEIs in my phone are gone, phone shows "service unavailable", In the phone settings I can see "IMEI 1: Unknown" "IMEI 2: Unknown" and of course I'm not able to do any other call. Reset of the phone do not help at all.
All I can do in this case is Factory Reset - after that again I can make only one call and IMEIs are gone.
I have observed such behavior sometime ago. I thought it was some ROM issue, so I've flashed previous one (with Android 11) and phone was working fine. Unfortunately I didn't notice that recently Samsung has changed binary version of the firmware and now I'm doomed - I cannot flash old firmware anymore and there are no custom roms for my phone model.
I have rooted the phone and I've tried several tools to force IMEI but none is working for me.
I have no NVRAM backup. As I read the problem may be located there - but if so, then why I can do one call at all?
What could be the cause of such weird behavior?
Do a Google search for "restore-imei-number-after-an-nvram-clear": Dozens findings ...
So also this one:
[GUIDE] Restore IMEI number after an NVRAM clear
This thread will go over restoring the IMEI number if you cleared the NVRAM (or fully formatted your phone). The official tool to use is the SN Writer tool from Mediatek but as the P60 processor is not compatible with that, I had to search for...

I didn't clear NVRAM. I mean at least I'm not aware of it. Correct me if I'm wrong but if NVRAM is cleared/broken I shouldn't be able to do ANY call, right?
And as I wrote, I already observed such issue on my phone long time before and then the solution was to downgrade ROM to previous version and phone was working fine - so I assume that NVRAM is ok, right? I cannot dowgrade it now due to changed Binary Version
I'm struggling with this issue since last two weeks and I also wanted to verify if my NVRAM is fine. But I cannot turn my phone into Meta Mode. Do Samsung devices have it at all? (Samsung Galaxy A31 dual sim)
My phone is rooted and have TWRP flashed:
Can I somehow access NVRAM from TWRP and check what is going on there?
Can I somehow access NVRAM from Magisk (modules) / LSPosed and check what is going on there?
IDK. Reason: Have neither TWRP nor Magisk ever installed on any of my phones.
I have found some workaround for this issue here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fixed-rooted-a325m-suddenly-no-imei-no-sim.4386753/post-86588571
After applying it, there is still some glitch (it looks internal modem restarts after each call and I'm getting some notification about that) but at least I'm able to do calls without Factory Reset.
