Hi all,
looking for some solid advice on what to do next, My Gt-I9300 is originally from ireland, on the network meteor.
i got it factory unlocked, then i moved to western australia , started using a telstra sim everything worked fine, then when i tried to make a call it would make no sound during call on both phones, (mine and the one im calling) when i hang up i would loose signal and then it would come back after a few seconds, so after doing factory restets ect, nothing worked. i then rooted the phone using odin to see if anything would change with the no sound during calll problem , the rooted file i used was for the telstra network (australia) then when trying to make calls it says not registered on network, went into network settings and manually tried to select the telstra network , still no luck. and now to where im at now , i unrooted my phone using odin the unroot file i downloaded was for the meteor network(ireland) one the phone originally came on . still the same problem with not registered on network. i will admit im familiar with what im doing but not a expert , please help i need my phone :crying:
can someone please help any advice will be appreciated :good:
Hi
First you have to root again, install busybox then install Ariza Patch for IMEI, click on patch 0.5 and you should be fine. I think everyone who has upgraded to leaked JB 4.2.2 ended up in the same situation.

I was having a similar issue on my friend's i9300. I upgraded his phone to 4.3 but got this issue. Unfortunately, I didn't back up his EFS so lost the network after upgrade (NOT REGISTERED ON NETWORK).
I Tried everything from Ariza patch to going back to 4.1 MG4 firmware & zuluman patching the MG4 modem but nothing worked at all.
I was at my wit's end when as a last resort I installed I9300XXUGNB6 firmware through Odin. Then rooted it, installed CWM recovery. After that I installed "Patched_Modem_I9300XXEMG4" zip through CWM (ATTACHED).
There was still no network & IMEI turned to 000000000.
After that I downloaded Boeffla 5.1 kernel (for i9300) and VOILA, I got network & IMEI was restored. I do not know how it worked but it solved my problem. You can download Boeffla kernel from his website boeffla-kernel. de
I promised myself to always backup EFS & never to upgrade anyone's phone again except my own. Too much liability.
I hope it works for you.
Hi,
This is my first post but, I'm an avid lurker. I am having some issues with my girlfriends 920i. It received an OTA update to marshmallow and ever since it won't read the Sim card. I've tried to flash the official fw through Odin and still having the same problem. Because it doesn't read my Sim card, I have zero access to any mobile network settings.
I am wondering if when they updated the marshmallow, I lost unlock capability.
Also, her imei and sn still match. Most of the problems I see people have are mismatched numbers, and her phone seems fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So, I checked the firmware that I flashed and it was INS which seems to be the locked version.
I flashed the INU firmware this morning but still not reading my SIM.
I'm out of options at this point, I'm going to go back to lollipop and see how that goes.
Hi,
I am having this issue for my SM G-920I since 2/3 Jan, 2017. I am using fine on US Tmobile network since Oct 2015, but all of a sudden got the no SIM, emergency calls only and continues to stay like this.. I am curious to know if you resolved the issue and how. Thanks for any feedback!
Help me please
I'm having the same issue. Just flashed INS 6.0.1 firmware on my brand new G920I and now i can't get any mobile signal or data. Tried to flash ZTO firmware for my country, but same issue. My phone was fine before flashing INS firmware. IMEI it's fine too. Recovery shows: Applied multi-csc. What can i do? ((((((((((

Already updated and tried to downgrade to 5.1.1, but no sucess. I don't think it's a hw problem, cause it was working before the INS firmware flash, and IMEI number still shows right, no matter what rom i flash (now on MIUI). Can i clean EFS partition and try to flash ZTO firmware again, or i might lost my IMEI and get more problems? Also, wondering if advanced wipe with everything checked on TWRP can help. (data, internal storage, system, sbfs, cache, dalvik cache)
Can you open the phone dialer and enter this code *#*#4636#*#* then clikc Phone Information, and send a screenshot of what you see in the screen (Make sure no IMEI in the screenshot, before you post it here) ? Also check if Radio is OFF or ON.

Codes on my dialer doesn't work, but i'm sure the IMEI is right cause it's showing in phone information. Also, radio is on cause when i search for mobile networks the carriers of my country appears on the screen but when i click on then, just appears a message saying that can't connect
Same problem, any solutions?
I had same issue for over a year, you can check details in my thread, resolved by factory warranty motherboard replacement (free of charge, even thou knox was tripped when I bought it, and I told lady in authorised repair shop that i don`t have warranty).
Forgot to mention that I also tried to repair it via Octoplus box, both by me and some other people (wanted a second opinion), DRK fixed, few new certs written, etc.), not only by flashing fw via Odin or Smart Switch.
And I was 99% sure it was hw, turns I was right.
P.S. country dependable: - in some countries they will probably want to sell you a new motherboard in Samsung (happened to me), but in other factory warranty will be accepted (probably, if the phone is not older than 3 yrs I guess)
Greetings, I have created an account in order to seek help directly.
I received a LG P920 phone already rooted on ICS 4.0.4
At this time mobile networks worked and the phone was able to make calls and such. I did a factory reset which led to a recovery-loop so I followed this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228269
I then obtained CWM 6 using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144738
And finally decided to flash Cyanogenmod 11 unofficial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-3d/development/rom-t2929971
It was at this point that I realized I couldn't connect to networks at all, thinking maybe the ROM was faulty I went for the official CM10 rom (the last nightly available on cyanogenmod), but that did not work either. Tried returning to ICS (v30a) but I couldn't connect to networks.
I've searched a lot of guides to recovering mobile networks but the catch is that most of them talk of lost IMEI numbers, which my phone hasn't lost. I looked into using LG flashtool aswell but all links are broken, be it for the software, the crack or the dll I need to have.
I'm at a loss right now, most of the guides I've seen here are for different purposes other than just getting the mobile networks going.
The SIM card works on another phone. Also, when trying to enter the password it will at times accept anything or not accept anything at all, even if it's the right code. If I search networks, they will be found but I'll just get 'Can't connect to this network right now'
My Baseband reads LGP920AT-00-V30a-EUR-XXX-APR-04-2013 and I'm currently on CM10
update: I have been informed by the previous owner that this phone hasn't been SIM unlocked, which is probably the problem here. Obviously this wasn't going to be so easy as I obtained the code and attempted to unlock it, but for some reason the process was unsuccessful. guess I'm still lost
Thanks in advance
Hello, I can't connect to my local mobile network anymore.
So I can't call or receive phone calls.
I am in Latvia, Baltic region.
My imei is legit and working, so is my phone number.
When I search for my mobile network it finds it -LV TELE2, easy, but when I attempt to connect to it, it shows it 'can't connect to this network try later', when of course the network is working properly for other phones., and it is the network that worked before.
I happened after I flashed a custom lineage rom. It was the right rom for my device,
and I flashed it in correct order and all worked except mobile networks.
I thought using odin to flash back the stock rom will fix it, but it didn't.
Now I am back to stock 7.0 , flashed csc SEB version for my region.
Now in mobile networks there is only Lte/2g/3g options, why there is no gsm or vcdma mobile service?
I believe my provider is gsm, so how to restore it so I could call again?
It shows no service in the drawer, and can't connect to my carrier.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you ^_^)/
Had same problem after my motherboard was changed in some mobile repair shop and old imei and stuff copied from old motherboard. After flashing stock 7.0 with ODIN, I had same problem. Luckily repair guy added some certs back free of charge. Something to do with not being official Samsung repair place and not having right kind of tool.
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Thank you for your info. Then it must be possible to fix it with the right tools even at home! I am sure there must be someone who knows how to do it and can help me, and many others with the same problem.
When you tap *#0011# imei status is OK or NG?
Hello, I typed *#0011# and yes imei status is ok, more info - rat=gsm (2g), band=pgsm900 and reg status is = not registered.
So this couldn't be an imei problem, could it?
During this time, I tried many roms, nougat and marshmallow, official and custom, but none has fixed it yet.
I was thinking, flashing original galaxy s6 lollipop rom will definitely do the trick,
because I remember I had a similar problem with my old galaxy s plus phone,
it was impossible to connect to any mobile network on any rom,
until I flashed the oldest stock rom for the device.
But the problem is, I can't find a working download for a custom lollipop rom, they are extinct it seems,
and the official lollipop rom can't be flashed with odin, obviously, because I have a higher fw already.
Official lollipop would be the best and would show if the problem is software related for once and for all,
but how to install it when knox and all kinds of binaries doesn't allow me to flash it with odin?
Is there another way to do it?
No need for this anymore, never solved the issue.
I sold the phone.
Thanks anyways ^-^)/
Hey guys!
I'm having a really hard time trying to figure this out and i think i have no alternatives left...
After a factory reset (soft reset) my phone lost all cellular service connectivity. It still identifies my SIM card on both trays, phone number and internet operator, but i get no signal.
The IMEI is okay and i get baseband information. I tried multiples firmware using ODIN but nothing have worked so far, even after flashing the most recent firmware.
Any ideas of what could be happening? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Model: SM-G955FD/ZTO

As for your issue, perhaps check your DNS settings?
Sorry for that, my bad.
I checked my DNS settings but i don't think it's related to that, i can get internet using wifi, the problem is with the mobile service that simply don't show any signal.
Update:
Tried flashing another firmware modem from Android 8.0 (the CP file in ODIN) but whatever version I try makes me lose IMEI information and then I need to flash the complete firmware using ODIN.
Currently the phone is running Android 9.0 (binary 12) and I haven't found a way to downgrade it.
