I didn't see anything on radio bands, but I would think it would work on some North American carriers

you have some sites that lets you "emulate" a foreign number for a short periode of time. You use that to receive the confirmation codes that they send you (no ideia in what language they will send it, will have to try for myself pretty soon, pre ordered it too) and activate your account.
And btw, I don't know if this is correct or not but, according to this, (techdroidtips. com/root-vivo-nex-a/ ), the root is already possible trough the usual process. No idea if it actually works or if you get a 800$ brick afterwards....

I've come to learn that there are a lot of fake sites that claim to have root/twrp. They are an annoyance.

If you order directly from VIVO, Google services will not be pre-installed, you'll have to do it yourself.
However,some,if not most 3rd party resellers will likely have pre-installed it for you.
For example,LIAOW will have Google services pre-installed, that's where I ordered mine.

Regarding Google services being pre-installed by LIAOW,I was either mistaken,or,the posts stating such info was edited.

Just leave out that last digit of the code and it will work.

Same here. Even tried going to Settings > Trial version and it says there is none for my model yet.
It is still in beta testing in China and only has 2000 slots for the testing. All the slot has gone on the first day of the registration.

The admin in ColorOS forum did not disclose the date about the full stable release and their formal reply is something like stay tuned for the next batch of beta testing.

Thanks for that update. It's disappointing that nearly 3 months after the announcement there is still no stable version. Especially that they still keep pushing it in their marketing yet it's still not available on one of their more recent models.

Some places will be released before March 10. But if you don't like tasting, you can only go to the after-sales service to downgrade. You can't downgrade the mobile phone system yourself, so we suggest you wait for the official version. Thank you for your attention to China's oppo. I will feed back your doubts to oppo's engineers and let us use the official version as soon as possible.

I installed A.10 and it seems to only update the Android 2020-2 security patch.

All that is stated is to be in A.09 or A.10 and be ready today at 9:00pm EST (03,07,2020 at 10:00am china)
It will open the beta/trial version for 20,000 slots because the previous 5,000 were full.

The reason I ask is that for a while it would show me the trial version screen but say all 5,000 slots were taken, and that screen asked for a phone number. I have an oppo account so will check it out later. Thanks for posting this!
I have recieved Android 10 update on my G7. Everything is working great and UI is much more beautiful and very fast dark mode is also good. Camera is also improved alot. The latest security patch is included with the update.

You can update via Help app if you have N model but you will need lg account registered in korea just.

I guess that, once downloaded, the installation of the new version will be automatic and the tmp file will be deleted after the installation ends.

1. Backup

Yes i have been in same situation like you but i have not find any yet there is a 1 thread in this forum where the user followed a v40 tutorial to unlock our model but its not trusted much so i have not tried it yet. But if you find any plz let me know also if i found i will tell you.

I opened the korean account but when I try to update ut gives me this message :
"Error while signing up
There was an error applying for subscription.
There is no phone registration information."
Canyou please lust the steps you did to get it to work ?

That tutorial is completely legit tons of people have used it...
T-Mobile network unlocked my OnePlus 8 for me and I enabled OEM unlocking and was able to get my unlock code but there is no option for the OnePlus 8 on the website where you submit the application... so how do I get my unlock token?
If you don't mind me asking, how did you get it unlocked? Did you pay in full?

I unlocked the sim to and enabled the OEM unlock from the developer's option.
Seems like their token page hasn't updated the oneplus 8 yet.

I just told them I needed it unlocked for work and travel and no I am not paid off I am on Jump lol

It will not be greyed out once you are sim unlocked, then you can toggle it.

Yep. Sadly. Contacted Oneplus multiple times and their support don't know what I mean by bootloader then they refer me to the existing page, telling me to contact T-mobile etc.. I keep checking if the page has been updated to include the 8 evert few hours.
Also, the page that has the OP firmwares hasn't been updated to include the 8 series. Don't know what they're up to.

Interesting enough, if you go to your account and put your IMEI it will show it but it won't accept it on the unlock page. https://www.oneplus.com/customer/device

Yeah what's interesting is if you out the IMEI in swappa it doesn't detect it as well. Not sure what's going wrong here.
I found people had issues with this page before on older OnePlus phones. Something is not syncing.

That was happening for a while with the TMobile mclaren. Eventually they took care of this issue. Just one of many with TMobile OnePlus users unfortunately.
