OnePlus 8 unlock code TMO - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

T-Mobile network unlocked my OnePlus 8 for me and I enabled OEM unlocking and was able to get my unlock code but there is no option for the OnePlus 8 on the website where you submit the application... so how do I get my unlock token?

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get it unlocked? Did you pay in full?

I unlocked the sim to and enabled the OEM unlock from the developer's option.
Seems like their token page hasn't updated the oneplus 8 yet.

Yes it has. OEM Unlock, at least on t-mobile, is grayed out.

It will not be greyed out once you are sim unlocked, then you can toggle it.

Yep. Sadly. Contacted Oneplus multiple times and their support don't know what I mean by bootloader then they refer me to the existing page, telling me to contact T-mobile etc.. I keep checking if the page has been updated to include the 8 evert few hours.
Also, the page that has the OP firmwares hasn't been updated to include the 8 series. Don't know what they're up to.

I called them and the woman I spoke to told me that they are "working on adding it"... that was I think 4 days ago.

I found people had issues with this page before on older OnePlus phones. Something is not syncing.

That was happening for a while with the TMobile mclaren. Eventually they took care of this issue. Just one of many with TMobile OnePlus users unfortunately.

Hi guys I have two problems, One is that Nobody can find my unlock code, I tried cellunlock.net and others vendors but no code, all says ""Unfortunately we have tried multiple databases, but the results returned negative"" I recently buy this cellphone on ebay and now this is in Costa Rica.
The other problem is with the software, this has 4.0.4 2.20 and can't find the way to root it and I tried the unlock the boot loader on htcdev and allways shows an error.
Really need help with this two problems.
I have an AT&T HTC One X.

Nice. No more depixel8 then.
When you re-lock what's generally the best and safest accepted practice ? Flash all stock images, reboot, make sure oem unlock is checked just incase, reboot to bootloader, then oem lock ?

I realize that... it was kinda the point in the thread. Was wondering if anyone else who recently purchased had similar experience. Was kinda hoping Verizon has quit making bootloader perma-locked.
Yea there have been a few others on here and Reddit lately that got them from Verizon and were able to unlock. Verizon will never change its stance on bootloaders so I'm guessing it has something to do with them being backordered all the time and maybe they aren't worried right now with locking them
Wow not bad. Myself, I don't have Verizon, I just have a regular pixel I unlocked.
I recently purchased new Pixel on eBay and it turned out to be a Verizon model. It came with 7.1.1 February patch and phone updated to March. OEM unlocking is grayed out at the moment.

Getting bootloader unlock code from Huawei

I've successfully got a working bootloader code for my M5 and it worked. I am now running generic system image and it is working beautifully.
For the record, I am owning a 10 inch M5 (not pro), 64 GB wifi-only version. Bought from official Huawei online store in China. I don't know if this would work on other versions but it is worth a try.
Note: The unlock service from Huawei will terminate on 23 July. It is highly recommended to get a bootloader code if you plan to use custom rom in the future.
Edit: Seems that images are missing. Here is the imgur album link: imgur.com/a/FaaGNkL
I'll try to fix the images. Sorry for any inconvenience!
Requirements for getting the code
A Huawei M5 tablet of cause. 3G or wifi version
A desktop computer
The tablet must login into Huawei cloud for at least 2 weeks
The final requirement is not listed in English version. I am not sure if that need to be fulfilled in English version or not.
Link to unlock form: emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index
(Sorry but XDA disallow me to post outside link. I would update this post once I got the permission)
================
1. Go to the link and login with the same account on your tablet
2. Accept the terms
3. Select "Since EMUI 5.0"
4. The "smartphone" cannot be changed. It is by design (or a bug)
For 3G version owners, follow the instruction and fill in the form. I am not owning 3G version and therefore I could not proof if the form is working or not.
================
For Wifi version, the process would be quite tricky.
Seems that Huawei did not plan to make a new wifi-only tablet when designing this unlock web page. We could not skip IMEI field in this form.
...Unless we do some tricks.
This tutorial uses Firefox browser. Chrome does not have resend request feature which is required for our purpose.
Enter the following sequence in offical calculator App
Code:
()()1357946()()
The displayed window should give you all information needed except the IMEI.
It is time for some tricks. Press F12 on your keyboard to bring up developer tools and navigate to Network panel.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Enter some random number in IMEI field and submit the form. The submission should fail (no surprise) with reason "SN and IMEI are mismatched." and a request entry would be logged in the developer tools.
Inspect the request to check route and click Edit and Resend Button.
Edit the Request body:
Change needimei from 1 to 0
Remove imei field (Remove imei=......&), rember to remove & symbol or the request would be invalid
Update veri to new verification code in the window
The reuslt sould request body should look like this
Code:
before5=0&sn=YOUR_SERIAL_NUMBER&checkCode=SOME_NUMBER&veri=VERIFICATION_CODE&needimei=0&_form_key=c934efde48a3
Click send and a new check request should show up in the developer tools panel. Inspect it and check the Response tab.
The blacken part is the bootloader unlock code for your device.
================
I used this code for unlocking my device and it workes.
Hope this guide helps!

Sorry for the late reply. I did not receive notification from XDA
I don't own an US version. But I don't think there will be much of the difference in terms of bootloader locking and unlocking strategy.
The tablet should be locked by default and you have to unlock it before rooting.
Thanks for the reply, I got it unlocked, now I'm trying to root.

The response I get is "imei_notbound_account"
I called US support and they referred me to China support because I have the SHT-W09 C432 variant (I thought this was European). I emailed that support line and hope to get some direction back on how to unlock the bootloader. Everything I've done online so far via their webpage and this tutorial does not work. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm can safely assume it's towards the last week of the month.
Both the 6.1 and 6.1 Plus got the Pie update on the last 2 days October.
So expect the Pie rollout for the 8 and 8 Sirocco to come out by then.

Yeah, I agree and think so too, but I hope they don't roll it by region slowly as they usually do, or at least don't take a long time for regions to get the update so that everybody is happy by mid Dec or so.

Set mine to Germany now and currently nothing (NordVPN) I will keep trying. I am working on a much easier way to root updates, and this is my only way of testing it.

Question OOS13 Open Beta 1 is out.

I installed it. Seems fine so far. Nice that OnePlus is rolling it out so quickly. I bet they are wanting to put the dumpster fire that was OOS12 behind them ASAP.

Wondering if I can carry magisk 25.2 over to ob1 and obtain root?

Do you have L1 ?
Do you have dual sim bug ?

Funny enough, I do have L1 back even though I had lost it after my last time using the MSM Tool (which shouldn't have happened because my bootloader is locked but I didn't care enough to fix it).

There is no dual SIM bug when using the official global firmware on an LE2115. T-Mobile devices will probably still have it.
Can root/magisk still be used for the OOS Dual Sim patch for T-Mobile devices?

I really don't care anymore what they call it as long as it's stable. Everyone knows by now that there are next to no differences in the two OSes besides the name.

I haven't used it myself due to the fact that the stock roms are covered in bloatware., There should be more development towards custom roms soon though id hope considering the android 13 has been released. Give it a few months

It says on changelog OnePlus says a data wipe is necessary to boot into ob1 after A12. Did you have to wipe date to get a boot?

No, the log is wrong, no wipe needed.

All I am hoping for is OnePlus releasing the source codes for OOS 13. The fact this never happened for OOS 12, I think I have a better hope winning $1 billion dollars.

HOW TO FIND BOOTUNLOCK TOKEN CODE?
I TRIED AGAIN AND AGAIN BOOTUNLOCK METHOD.. MISSING TOKEN CODE.
Anyone with Verizon sim don't waste your time. Ob1 nukes your sim. No data. No way to add apn
And to add I'm super f'n excited. New A13 is sleek very nice and smooth and many many new options. I love it . They will fix Verizon not detecting sim in ob2 I hope. I'm stoked it's a great build.

Technically it says carrier phones which would normally mean that unlocked ones would work and that isn't the case, it's all Verizon.

There is no need for unlocking bootloader. There is a msm conversion tool.

He's right and I read it correctly. Why I continued with update .Says the Verizon variant which there isn't one. Only way the developers thought to communicate with us. Meaning Verizon sim. Won't read CDMA_less/Volte (voice over lte) yet.
