Same happens for me, but on the shelf. All I see is Weather card like yours, but it doesn't bother me as I use it as a shortcut to my feed since I have the shelf enabled and using gestures instead of soft buttons

So I guess I'm not the only one. Right now I just put google app in the middle of the dock to access the feeds. But still I would appreciate if there is some way to fix it because it looks really cool if it works on the shelf.
Are you guys for real? No offense, but this whole thread sounds like an Onion piece - Jaccob from Hicksville cannot get his feed, so SirFace from Armenia offers advice on the Google Shelf and Dock
Forgive my ignorance, but I never heard of Google Shelf and Dock. To access Google feed - click on Google Search widget, then click on the "G" letter in top left of the screen.
EDIT: Hehe, just learned there's an actual feed widget. Sorry, guys. My feed widget is also broken, just added to the screen - same result as OP

Shelf is actually OP6 shelf (the widget page appear when you swipe right). And dock is just the bottom area where you put all the "fixed app" that don't move when you swipe left and right.
But yeah, I'm kinda surprised that very few people noticed this problem. I'm sure there are many ways to access Google feed. But it would be cool if I can check the feeds by simply swipe right (just like what you can do on Pixel phones).

I am sorry. Just got this phone a few days ago. There's a shelf for widgets. Got it. Just deleted everything from it but Dashboard. Added Google feed widget - nothing.

Add shortcut to a feed/widget to the main homescreen? Huh?
The Google cards will show when you click the "more cards" button. My guess is OnePlus wasn't able to integrate the cards to their launcher, but clicking that button pulls up the Google feed you are used to.
I stopped using the OP launcher. Went back to Nova. Made the right page my home page, swipe right and put my widgets on that page. (Left of my home page) If I'm on home page and swipe up, the Google feed launches. (Press home button (with OP6 gestures enabled is just swipe up) shortcut to launch app)

I'm sure that will work. But I just hate and love OP launcher at the same time...
The only reason I'm still using it is because of the app drawer swipe up animation. I know it might sounds ridiculous but it is kinda important to me. Nova launcher have that app drawer slide animation but you have to swipe from the very bottom of the screen instead if anywhere like stock android. And if you set swipe up gesture, you can do that anywhere but without the animation... sad
The closest launcher I find that have both is Lawnchair launcher, but that animation is a bit laggy.
But thank you for your suggestions. I guess I'm just a bit too picky on this one:laugh:

LG LAUNCHER IN THE MARKET
i been scrolling in the android market and came across this application which looks like the port of the old launcher i did a while back,
(this version has bugs on them and doesnt work very well)
i want to first say that it took me a time to make this launcher to work, LG is the owner of this launcher, but still give credit to those who work and put time on this, damn.

I like it however the calendar widget does not seem to work. Is it suppose to pull the events from the sense calendar or go to it when you click a date? As of right now when I click on a date in the calendar widget it does nothing. How did you get the sense clock to work, or is it something diff (forgot the name of the other one lol).

Just bought the new ex version of adw, and I must say I'm really digging those 3d transitions. Its in the market now, just in time for xmas.
Only issue I'm having is when I hit the home button I get screen previews that pop up on the bottom of my home screen. Other than that, slick.
Awesome! I just saw this on YouTube the other day. Didn't think the release was this close. Still has bugs to be worked out but otherwise sweet

I'll probably give it a try, but I really dislike the trash can being at the top of the screen. I wish there was atleast an option to have it at the top or bottom.
What bugs? I bought this earlier today and so far so good. Had to get used to new menu layout but other than that i dont see anything wrong with it.
Finally he added the "4D" app drawer. Always liked that. The new transitions are nice. Everything runs nice and smooth.

It has that option in the settings.
I did notice that for some reason my dock disappeared altogether earlier. But after a reboot it came back. I wish we could change the home button action since it seems to just show screen previews instead of going to the homescreen, but maybe Anderweb will include that in an update.

So I actually bought it and was poking around, and sure enough, that option's there Thanks for pointing it out on the forums though, I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be looking for that option.
Wish it would go "full circle" too so that when you reach the right most screen next rotation would bring you to the left most one.
Ah ha! Found how to change the home button binding. Its under gestures in case anyone else has this issue.
Anyone know how to get the Settings option back when you hit the menu button? It's gone with the new launcher. Now the only way to get to the settings menu is to access it from the app drawer.

Eh, another thing to purchase? Not sure if it's worth it. Should be included imo.
EDIT: Well I tried it out...and it's buggy and pretty ugly...even the lpp looks better. Right after installing it, I tried testing it out. Sent dozens of texts to myself and not one popped up, and then it force closed. Definitely wasn't worth it. It was that buggy within the time of refunding so I just refunded it. Should be free anyways.

Go to your Google app and search "weather"
Once it gives you the weather, it'll ask you if you want to add weather to your home screen.
Click yes and a weather shortcut will be added.
Go back to the Google App and refresh your cards feed.
That should refresh the Pixel Launcher into adding the weather widget.
Working on my Android One.
Part of this functionality exists in Android 7.1.1 which is only out for last year's Nexus devices and the Pixel C at this time
All I can get is the shortcut icon to the weather app.

Thanks. This worked for me.
It just added a weather icon at first, but then I went over to cards, refreshed and scrolled down to see the weather there. As soon as I looked at the weather in the cards section, it was on my homescreen when I went back to it.
Pixel Launcher has just appeared in the market for me with an update to version 7.1.1. It says :
"The weather appers in the top right corner for your current location"
This hasn't happened to me as yet but I'm sure it will
Update: It just literally has.
Okay I've worked it out and now have the weather widget showing.
Swipe to cards and scroll to the weather card.
Tap the three dots to top right
Tap customise the feed (see screenshot)
Scroll down to 'everything else' (see screenshot)
Tap on each of the weather options and change to 'yes' (see screenshot)

On the s8, wanted to get opinions of people whom tried the stock launcher for some time, then moved to NOVA launcher,
Do YOU see a difference in lag experience between the two launchers on the s8 ?
(Not worried about customization differences)
I started with nova prime but slowly over time have gone to TW, it's not near as bad as it used to be. Didn't notice much lag on either launcher but I've disabled quite a few services.
Nova launcher is much smoother everywhere but I back to TouchWiz. Love the new TouchWiz.
Sorry Nova you not my preferable for this moment.
I have been using the Nova Prime since its release.
I always install it on any smartphone first of all. However, this time I gave a small chance to the new Samsung UI and was a few days with it.
No way, the Nova is way better/smoother.
Futhermore, the Nova launcher equalizes
the performance of any smartphone. For instance, my previous Note 3 and 4 got the same smoothness with the Nova as compared to the S8+.
Nova for me; much more flexibility and control of my home screen. widget placement is very limited with TW, not so with Nova. and now Nova allows you to swipe left and show Google Now. my (simple/clean) work layout is below . the only drawback using Nova vs TW is limited (if any) use of TW widgets.

thanks for the compliment. this is basically all i need to see when i'm working. as an FYI, the navbar buttons are from a substratum theme and @Tigerhoods 35pt high navbar overlay. also, my Nova desktop grid is 16x11; this allows for precise placement of widgets so i can get the widget layout exactly like i want it.
Going into developer options and cutting the animation speed helps a ton without sieging up the interface
nova is way better than stock!
Nova FTW
Nova for me! Every time I get a new phone I right away root and remove/uninstall stock launcher and have Nova as my main. I LOVE the fact that I can double tap the home screen to lock the screen (less pressing the button - less wear on button). On top of that it's just an over all smooth and fast experience with Nova
Thanks for the comments, and im aware of all the advantages nova has, But intrested in overall lag experience between the two launchers on the s8

I tried stock, nova and pixel launchers. It's very clear that stock is the winner.
I also asked my iPhone friend what he thinks is the best one not knowing which is which and not knowing anything about them, and he chose stock as well.

I tried TouchWiz but it doesn't allow me to resize my widget. And I don't believe I can achieve this setup with TouchWiz.

Hello, I have a Galaxy S10+ and I am setting up my new Pixel 7 Pro, but I have a problem, I have set the font size and display size to the smallest and set the screen resolution to the highest but I am still not able to have 5 icons side by side as used to on my Galaxy S10+, can you fix that on the Pixel 7 Pro or is that not a possibility.
Hold an empty spot on the desktop, then go to wallpaper & style, set the grid size to what you want on the bottom of the menu.

Ahh ok, had totally forgot that was the cause, lol such an easy task.
Or alternatively avoid Google's launcher and go for something infinitely more customizable and superior. I'd advise Nova Launcher.
Or group them and with one extra touch you can quadruple the number available.

Plus one for Nova Launcher.
+2012-ish, because that (or longer?) is how long I've sworn by Nova Launcher Prime.

I seem compelling as the stock launcher with the search bar in the buttom and the at glance in the top sucks ass.
Do you miss anything by installing the nova launcher or do you just get extra stuff and another launcher, like is there any reason to stick with the default launcher other then keeping it stock.

I like to use the default apps, including the launcher, when they allow me to do what I want/need. But when it comes to the Google/Pixel launcher I feel that Google is acting like Apple in NOT ALLOWING me to remove the STUPID search bar! I have never needed or used a search on a cell phone! So I do not want it taking up my screen real estate! So then, it's back to Nova Prime!

Ues I am thinking the same also for the "At a Glance" stupid thing, google, please allow me to remove these things.
~86 apps, 12 folders, 8 widgets - made to look like 15 app icons and 4 obvious folders (and 8 widgets). I might've lost count of the apps and skipped a few. In Nova Launcher Prime, with some "folders" set to behave like apps unless I swipe up or down on their icons. Some icons I have different swipe up and swipe down actions to launch other frequently used apps that I don't really need an icon for.

how do you do it in the nova launcher.
Have you tried it? It's in the Novsla settings, home screen, desktop grid. Basic operation.
